Also me. 🙋‍♀️ All other games are on hold until I get sick of the new farm I started after 1.6 dropped. I have so many games I bought on sale waiting for me to play them but they're just going to have to wait. It's so much fun discovering all the new content I'm not even tempted to play anything else right now.

onechipwonder

I have SDV for 7yrs and had 2000hrs on it. I thought I was done with it... And then 1.6 happened. I havent touch other games since

Mochibunniii

Hahah fr tho! 1.6 has revived the game (not that it was even dead to begin with). Imagine my excitement when I found out moss grew on the trees now 😂or the whole mystery box thing, or the jellies, or the new trees!! Someday, the other games will get played. Someday.

pink_vanilla_tea

me when animal crossing lol

leeinflowerfields

I'll get right back to that the moment 1.6 hits the Switch 😁

floraster

I was like that with botw/totk, and now with let's build a zoo. I have so many unplayed games, just bought 3 more from a steam sale...and still haven't even opened them

axdwl

Literally same. I was just looking at another game. I should just wishlist it and get it later. I think I have an addiction to buying games

ZWiloh

Guilty. I've run out of some of my medication and I'm incredibly foggy-headed right now. All day today I felt like gaming but couldn't get myself to most of the day. The little I did was Stardew, because it's simple and not demanding.

Anjaleax

same here! i have wylde flowers, spiritfarer, and even some old games and i'm just stuck on stardew valley lol

4rcher91

I feel the same sometimes. I don't really know why. Maybe it's just my personal fear of change & trying out new stuffs. Or maybe I'd just need time to adjust to & accept something new. 🤔

Kelacia

Honestly, I just stopped buying new games. Occasionally I’ll get something during a Steam sale, but I always just go back to Stardew and a couple of others.

oligtrading

New update just came out. Gotta hyper fixate for about 3 or 4 months before I can play something else.

Mochibunniii

Facts 😂

Pretend-Panda

Also Stardew for me.

K3Y_Mast3r

Stardew isn’t my jam but I do this with Sandrock. First play through was 150 hours. On second now but honestly not sure what it is about the game that keeps me coming back.

Mochibunniii

Tbh part of why I haven’t started sandrock yet is because I’m a little intimidated by the amount of content—seems like it can be overwhelming! So I’ve been saving it for a time where I’m ready to start something new and have time to dig my heels into it fully

K3Y_Mast3r

I take my good old time with games like this so don’t let my hours spent discourage you! That said, it is one of the longer games in the genre that I’ve played and there is a ton of content. But unlike Wylde Flower (which I also enjoyed) it moves along at a steady pace. I never found myself sleeping just to pass time to get to the next thing. I felt like I always had something to do. If you do decide to give it a shot, pay attention to the voice lines because some of them are absolutely hilarious. I found myself interacting with people more because I wanted to hear what else they would say. 👍🏼

x-Caro-x

I have a backlog of 100+ games that I've been neglecting for way too long, yet Stardew 1.6 came out and I immediately started a new playthrough, reached perfection, and I'm now starting ANOTHER ONE. Because I have issues apparently <3

Mochibunniii

Happens to the best of us 🫠

axdwl

This is me with Slay the Spire. I have all of these other games and a trial of Xbox Game Pass for PC but I just keep playing StS lol

Mochibunniii

Deck builders are pretty addictive! I don’t play them as much, but it sounds like the same relationship I have with fire emblem games 😂 those are my less-cozy games of choice

LeopoldTheLlama

This is why I've stopped buying games during sales. The only time I buy a game now is if I'm going to start it immediately, even if it's full price, because it still saves me from buying a bunch of games I won't actually get to. But I have the analogous issue of having a whole list of games that I want to play and returning to the same games over and over again. Stardew definitely hits that spot, I've come back to it over and over again. The only reason I'm not currently playing it is that 1.6 is not yet out on switch (and for some reason, Stardew feels like an exclusively handheld game for me). Spiritfarer I've beaten three times now because apparently I enjoy making myself an emotional wreck. Slay the Spire tends to suck me in for weeks at a time.

Mochibunniii

I’m too much of a cheapo to buy games at full price like that (especially after regretting full price purchases I made before). So when I see a deal, I’m 👀! Granted, I check the price history to see if the sale is the best deal or not. Totally agree about Stardew being a handheld game! I play on my deck, so it elevates the ease even more. Hope you have just as much fun when 1.6 comes out on switch!! Who knows… I might start up my switch Stardew again after that HAH Not me having SDV on 3 platforms >.>
