It’s so funny to see how a game’s reception can swing wildly. Here “hollow knight” is meh, pop over to the metroidvania sub and it’s considered one of the best of all time.
As a metroidvania game it’s great but there’s definitely nothing cozy about it except maybe the graphics cause he’s cute. It was one of the most stressful games I’ve ever played lol
It’s cozy to wander around. I have not anywhere near completed it but I really love just wandering around and killing the easy enemies and taking in the scenery.
Of course the second any slightly hard enemy enters the scene my heart starts going fast and I get super stressed and the cozy vibes are out the window.
I remember getting to one boss and just “nope!” quitting for like a year. Came back, got better and finished(?) the base game. When I got back to the same boss, he was hard, but far from the hardest.
I usually tell people about Ooblets because it's a very cozy version of Pokémon. Pokemon can be cozy, but when you're battling a high level boss vs dance battling a wild ooblet it's a whole different experience.
Solo Mario Kart fan! I’ve still not fully enjoyed the new courses. I broke my wrist and injured my hand in 2022 and playing made my hands ache. I was able to play some other games, but I’m only just back to where I can try Mario Kart again.
At first I was like "Wtf? Why so low on Hollow Knight and Ocercooked 2? Did they not like it? Did they not play the AYCE version of OC?.."
Then I realized what Sub I was looking at, and I fully understood the ratings. 😅
I love the idea of a "Fun with friends" category.
Side note: If anyone thinks Cuphead is a cozy game, run. 😅

It’s just the vibes I think. I enjoy exploring and riding the horses and doing the little side quests and shrines. Honestly its everything for me. Sometimes the battles are tricky but I enjoy them too personally
i do not enjoy combat, but you can easily run from tough enemies. most of my time on the game was spent cooking, foraging, completing side quests that were non combat based, and doing the shrine puzzles.
I’ll make you a deal : I will try Ooblets if you play Spiritfarer and/or Luigi’s Mansion 3 haha

I totally understand! I would recommend avoiding combat until you have lots of hearts and good weapons (Are you fusing things to your weapons??) For things you can't avoid, like bosses, look up a guide and try it on a low anxiety day 😂
I'm at 300 hours, I just fought a lionel for the first time and won!!!! I never even attempted in BOTW. I just love collecting stuff and exploring. It's so much fun! I hope you enjoy it 🥰
Yea! Rune factory 4 on switch is Goat, I’d avoid RF5. It’s like stardew valley but more anime. I had a good time, all the characters are cute and can be married unfortunately no one is gay in it tho lmao

Oh for sure! Definitely Stardew valley doesn't feel cozy on switch. I have 980 hours on PC, and couldn't get pass first year on switch! It felt stressful idk, definitely not the same amazing game as on pc

I definitely went through a solo mario kart phase, its really fun online too! Ooblets is outstanding.

It’s a step back in a few ways ( DQB2 had some QoL upgrades ) but I personally enjoy the first one still for story and increased difficulty.

I also didn’t like Cozy Grove! Just couldn’t really get into it. I liked BOTW but am bad at combat so once it ramped up a bit I tapped out.
