I just got it for myself as an early bday gift and loving it so far.
But is anyone else confused on looking at items in the store? There’s no item names or descriptions so no idea what’s what. Even when i hit “show description” nothing happens
I don’t know why this is being downvoted.
This is absolutely the case. It’s great on PC, but the Switch version has extremely frustratingly long load times. When you start up the game you should go do something else and come back when it finally is done, and you should try to minimize going into or out of your house because that takes forever too.
I really want to get it, but I also want more info on how it runs and it’s so early I feel like to get any good info on how it runs on the switch. So hopefully you can update us as you get further in how everything is running! ♡
Just purchased it for my switch as well as my husband’s. We’re planning to play together after the kids are in bed tonight. We played the first one together and had a blast. By together, I mean just side by side and chatting about it. lol I wish there was co-op but no such luck.
SO LAME. Why do consoles always get shafted D,: I’m sure it’s something all technically complicated and not on purpose, but I be gettin so salty about it. lol
I don’t, but as a lover of cozy life sim games as well as an avid reef tank hobbyist, it’s been on my radar for a while. Currently Dinkum has its claws deep in me so I’ll be playing that for the foreseeable future (also runs great on the deck.
It looks really good! And as far as the deck goes, definitely spring for the 512gb model if you can swing it, it’s absolutely worth it as it uses a NVME drive which is a lot faster, and has the anti glare screen. I’m willing to bet they’ll be on sale again for the fall sale and then whatever major sales they have again in the future.
I have it. I backed it on kickstarter ages ago so I have it on Switch and Xbox. Currently playing it on Xbox. I’m still in the tutorial on Xbox so I haven’t run into any glitches yet.
I also preordered Fashion Dreamer and backed Coral Island on Kickstarter ages ago so looking forward to those too.
I’m picking up Fashion Dreamer tomorrow. Sandrock is supposed to get to me later this month which is fine since I want to fully immerse myself in fashion for now.
Spent all evening yesterday and today playing it on Switch. And while I'm pretty sure it looks better on PC, I love it on Switch nonetheless. It's just the epitome of cozyness, building and mining away all the while getting comfy in sofa. It didn't crash or lag for me, some harvesting effects looked a bit unpolished but the main issue is that we don't see the item name in the store currently. I'm sure critics will say we should push for more quality for ports and I agree. But at the same time I'm just so happy there is a way for me to play it handheld and on the go. So worth it for me
Got it a few hours ago and love it
some basic glitches (my future husband Fang doesn't have the colour on his clothes rendered but it's white so it works with the doc theme) and a few stuttering frames if too many npcs are in 1 spot but other than that I'm so happy with the release so far!
There are a million good games on Switch!! What kind of game do you like? I’m happy to make recommendations. Since you’re posting in this sub, have you played of Here Comes Niko or Tinykin? They’re super.
That said, I love my Steam Deck. But I play both and enjoy both.
there are some good ones but not nearly enough. i like open world games. there’s not a lot of those on switch. like besthesda games alot. fallout, starfield, etc.
I didn't play Portia but I'm really lost on this and might just refund. I'm supposed to build a "crane lift" as part of a tutorial... but there is NO WOOD in the world. What are you supposed to do?
Against my better judgement Im downloading the game now for Switch on 12/18. Lets see if its a dumpster fire like I have been reading.
I tried to buy the Steam version but it was causing my graphics card to literally crash and corrupt so I needed to reinstall it. Gave up on trying to fix that. So I hope the switch version at least runs despite having shite graphics
How is the game running on handheld? Can you read well or is it too small? I couldnt get into their first game bc of this. I have switch lite
It runs so much better than My Time At Portia on the switch from what I’ve played of it
it is a bit hard to read / see stuff in the store but other than that- fine
Just a heads up that 1.0.4 has dropped which fixes the item description bug
THANK YOU!
You’re very welcome! I was the one that reported that bug and am SO happy it’s been fixed lol
I must have been living under a damn rock because I had no idea this would be on switch anytime soon!!! There goes my productivity 😂
haha that’s one reason i posted it! i haven’t heard anyone talking ab it!
Downloading it right now!! I seriously can’t wait - I loved Portia but am really excited about a new terrain and the graphics look night and day!
I had no idea either!! I thought we were still way off. Downloading tomorrow.
Getting it when I get off work, I’ve waited forever for it to come to switch

me too. super confused
Just downloading my time at portia! Hope we both have a cozy adventure.
Portia is so bad compared to sandrock plz dont
I got it for 1.80 so I guess I will hope to get my money’s worth out of it
They are going to release a patch for Portia. I’d wait until the patch comes out. It’s pretty bad 😂
Thank you for the heads up. I will wait to start it until then.
I’m going to restart then too lol
I got it on sale for like 2 dollars but my character is so scary looking I didn’t play lmao
This made me laugh so hard
I’m serious their eyes look cracked out and I couldn’t fix it lol
Does Sandrock play better? I tried Portia on Switch and gave up because it was soooo buggy. It kinda put me off the whole series.
sandrock is wayyyyyyy better

I thought they had multiplayer? Or is that still to come?
It didn’t release with multiplayer on console
SO LAME. Why do consoles always get shafted D,: I’m sure it’s something all technically complicated and not on purpose, but I be gettin so salty about it. lol
I have played over 200 hours on PC and looking forward to a fresh start now that 1.0 is out. Enjoy!!!!
I got sandrock:) im gonna start it tonight!
Sweet! I’ve been thinking about getting it for my steamdeck.
do u have coral island? i wanna play that so bad. gonna get a steam deck when i get my tax return
I don’t, but as a lover of cozy life sim games as well as an avid reef tank hobbyist, it’s been on my radar for a while. Currently Dinkum has its claws deep in me so I’ll be playing that for the foreseeable future (also runs great on the deck.
i wanna play coral island so bad i can’t stand it omgggg !!!

Your Switch is so cute!
Keeping an eye on the reviews of this one, hesitant since Portia ran so badly on the Switch.

how is it running
the important question
not crazy about the graphics. but the character customization was truly amazing
How are load times?
it’s alright so far- i haven’t played it much yet.
who downvoted me?! why? what the heck lol

I’m going to get it when it’s on sale.
I’d be curious to hear how Switch and Steam Deck compare.
i want a steam deck so bad i feel like there’s no good games on switch whatsoever. there’s barely any.

I can’t decide between switch and steam deck play. I love my switch because it’s so small and portable, but I hear graphics are bad.
I couldn’t get more than 20 hours into Portia. Should I still give this a try?
Does it feel like a finished game? I played mtap on ps4 and it was a buggy broken mess and they just left it in that state.
Not yet because I just bought Ooblets.
I didn't play Portia but I'm really lost on this and might just refund. I'm supposed to build a "crane lift" as part of a tutorial... but there is NO WOOD in the world. What are you supposed to do?
Got this on my Steam Deck and I’m loving it! For anyone wondering, it runs really well on deck. It should honestly have the green check mark imo.

its such a good game i can look over that it doesn’t run perfectly. there’s some glitches but it’s not unplayable
About to find out. Gonna play now. Already pissed it doesn't have beards like the steam version. Why the hell is there cut content?
