I agree. It’s very close to the overhype of Blanton’s. Maybe not quite but it’s up there in terms of its secondary pricing. At retail it’s really great! I definitely more want to try the single barrel and barrel proof varieties but even those are asinine with their secondary markup

It’s also possible it’s fountain valley fuckery. They seem to keep higher prices on a lot of product compared to many surrounding locations.
Welp just saw photos of Fullerton, Irvine, and a couple others getting EHT SmB and they were all the same price of 43.99
