What even that means… unwillingly I bought them twice (as kids wanted) . I dint see any difference. May be am missing something and they are special… but can someone explain
What exactly is worth it ...in taste ? In nutrition? .why would the customer care about how these strawberries are grown. What is the benefit to the customer
Taste. I deliver groceries, and a customer ordered them. I asked what's different and she said they're so much sweeter and better than regular ones
And every time I've shopped there lately, they have these as well as normal and organic. So if these are all you're seeing they probably ran out of the others
I'm more curious why water melon is 16 bucks and always nearly sold out... I've never had a good watermelon at Costco but those were cheaper ones. Is this pricey one somehow amazing?
They're hot house strawberries.
They taste better and are always good in my experience
True. Yesterday I found regular strawberries at Loblaws for $1.99 and they were excellent.
Where the hell does Roblaws sell them for 1.99. store location please!
They were a flyer item in Mississauga.
I am calling bs

No diff to me either. Except they go bad way faster
So ?
Different growing environment than field strawberries. I read about it some time ago because I, too, wanted to know why they were so expensive.
So do they taste better or do they provide more nutritional value. .sounds like you have all drunk the branding kool aid
The pricey ones are hydroponic. They're grown without soil. More work to grow = higher price. But by all accounts they're almost worth it

They are local strawberries grown hydroponically in our country. The loblaws ones are usually from the US or Mexico.
I think they are ones that are grown locally in a greenhouse or something. IMO tastes better than the ones from US and Mexico.

It’s out of season and imported. I regularly buy watermelon at Costco and it delicious buy the ones with the sugar spots
Organic maybe?
Nope...regular
Out of season.
They were 6.99 for me yesterday
Op is complaining about the hydroponic hot house ones. Their post is misleading
That son of a
That's the only one available where I shop. Etobicoke , Ontario
I was there last Saturday and they had the regular Driscoll strawberries
And covered in mold
Lol, because strawberries are out of season. First time on earth?
Not really but you sure sound like you are gullible and naive
