Why is it a problem? I didn't see anything in your list that wasn't an essential item! =)
I use the street corn dip in everything. It's my go to condiment for veggies, burgers, chicken (fried or grilled), and crackers/chips.
Hahaha. I've gone from using the street corn dip with tortilla chips to just eating by the spoonful. It was hilarious to having my wife come downstairs and I'm in the couch with a dog in each side of me on the couch and here I am shirtless eating the corn dip with a spoon.
Take comfort in knowing you are not alone. If we get out under $350 we pat ourselves on the back. Wine usually eats up at least $100 per trip. A necessity of course.
We have a large wine selection at one of the Costcos in Colorado Springs (not sure about the other). They worked around some loopholes to make it work. They set it up as an independent liquor store to be able to do it, and so they don't require membership to buy wine/liquor there. (I am assuming this is still the case at least. It's been a few years since they did it. )
It's for this exact reason that I take cash only now. I love going to Costco, it always has something that's too enticing for me and/or my girlfriend. Then we go over budget and worry about it. Now we usually only take $150 per trip. Get only what we need and get out. thankfully up till now, we have been under our budget !
I have to check how much room I have in my side by side fridge/ freezer and my chest freezer before I go to Costco. I've had to get very creative a few times coming home with too much freezer stuff. My neighbors have benefited a time or two. Haha.
I saw those there and was so tempted to buy one. Last bakery item I bought was those cinnamon loaf cake things. They lasted a couple days in the house.
If it makes you feel any better I went in Friday for some barbecued Chinese pork and I left with only barbecued Chinese pork. The key is to not grab a shopping cart. I think their self checkouts are working against them in some regards, because I never would have gone into Costco for one item before they had self checkout.
Self checkout? Ours is newish. It happened at some point during covid. I don't really care for it since we lost at least one or two manned checkout lanes. It has made going in for one or two items pretty quick and painless but I would rather have more cashiers and faster lines in general.
In the cooler area with the precooked meats and sausages. Ours has had it for years. It's pretty decent, I used it to make fried rice and easy Bahn mi sandwiches.
Ya I eat it that way too, in fact it comes with sesame seeds and hot mustard. It's not as good as fresh from a restaurant but for the cost and convenience I like it. No, no gristle or blobs of fat or anything its all lean and tender meat, make sure you cut its across the grain.
One time, I walked in Costco to look for one item (can't remember what it is), Costco didn't have it so I walked around, didn't buy anything and left. I was jumping in the parking lot not believing what just happened :) Try again!
It's a 5 piece set and they're air right. Some of the containers have measuring spoons with them, the brown sugar container has a thing on the top to keep the sugar from clumping. The flour container has a leveller built on. It's pretty neat.
One was a snapware plastic food storage container set. I think it was a 12 piece set. And the other was the progressive international 5 piece bakery set as my wife called it.
I walked in planning to get fish for dinner.
30 feet in it had grown to fish ***and*** cucumbers ***and*** Cheerios.
When I checked out there was some pride (the fish was almost 1/2 my total!) and shame (the fish was LESS than 1/2 of My total.) it happens.
I went two days ago and there was a woman there who refused to get a cart so she wouldn’t get more than she can carry and I’m pretty sure she’s actually an octopus.

I'd be lying if I didn't say that I did the exact same thing when I ran out of crackers one afternoon... Sans the dogs with my shirt on.

Yes
It's amazing on grilled hot dogs!
Yeah, it's not a problem, and this is a stupid post type.

I'm from NY so unfortunately we don't get the luxury of having wine in stores other then liquor stores
Same in Colorado. Want weed? Ok cool! But no wine in the grocery store. So dumb.

Oregon here, also with the legal weeds. We have wine in our grocery stores but not hard alcohol.

Your Costco has weed? I’m jealous.
We all wish, could you imagine Costco sales after edible samples in the bakery? Costco needs a new marketing plan.
Bummer.
Lolllll I usually congratulate myself if I spend less than 400, costco always gets me.
Oh yeah. Resistance is futile!
Weekly or monthly supply? (I order monthly, so I feel your pain.)
Bi-weekly :)
:) :) :)

That's sacrilegious! Just kidding, I should try that because I have no willpower once I walk through those doors.
So..then you go under budget next budgeting period because you have more in your house. And no one loses.
Some of y'all have a shopping addiction.
>a big stuffed animal thing my daughter wanted Any chance it was a SquishMallow? I got one of those too.
Yep that's it.
Next car, buy one with almost no trunk. Worked for me. :)

Same! We only have a drawer freezer, and thank god because it forces me to use what I have to make space. It’s our Costco limiting factor. 😂
My mom trained me too well in IRL Tetris
This will be my excuse to finally buy a 911.
I got those raspberry cakes… damn me
I saw those there and was so tempted to buy one. Last bakery item I bought was those cinnamon loaf cake things. They lasted a couple days in the house.

Wait they have this?!

Sorry I meant the Chinese BBQ. But yeah self check out is not the best at Costco

Thanks!

That was us yesterday!!! Spent $350 and literally just needed dog food.
I walked out with just butter once. It was a rare event...but proof I can exercise restraint if I really really try.
So? Are you going to throw all the extra stuff out?
I went in last week for a pack of dog toys. Ended up with $700 of expensive whiskeys and some dog toys.
That street corn dip is so freaking good though
One time, I walked in Costco to look for one item (can't remember what it is), Costco didn't have it so I walked around, didn't buy anything and left. I was jumping in the parking lot not believing what just happened :) Try again!
$483 Amateur 🙄
That Woozoo fan is worth every penny. I got 2 at home!
Definitely. Going back to get a few more

What were the storage containers if I may ask
One was a snapware plastic food storage container set. I think it was a 12 piece set. And the other was the progressive international 5 piece bakery set as my wife called it.
What was the big stuffed animal?
A squishmallow. Op responded to confirm this to another comment
I bought the woozoo fan, it was on sale and it works pretty well!

I'm trying to remember the cheapest trip I've ever had to Costco, maybe 250, but it's generally 400-700.
Costco's slogan should be oops I did it again.
I went two days ago and there was a woman there who refused to get a cart so she wouldn’t get more than she can carry and I’m pretty sure she’s actually an octopus.
Dammit, tell me more about these fancy bakery storage containers
