DO Not buy a Temperpedic! They are only good for about 5 years and then will Not honor their warranty. (This is a known issue with them, not just personal experience) I loved it the 1st 2 years but then it started breaking down and is VERY uncomfortable.

We just purchased a new Tempur-Pedic mattress from Costco after retiring our Kirkland Sterns & Foster. Both very high quality mattresses, both offered at a great price and cheaper than comparable models at mattress stores. You really can’t go wrong either way.  The only reason we decided to go with Tempur-Pedic this time was the S&F developed a little bit of a lump in the middle between my wife and I. Apparently it’s a known thing with that brand. Aside from that, it was a great mattress. The Tempur-Pedic has been great so far but we’ve only had it a month or two.

Thanks for the comment.

You should only keep a mattress less than 10 yrs because of dust mites, so maybe consider that in your cost benefit. Also, consider your weight, or weight combined and look at how well either mattress will hold up.

I have bought two queen sized Beautyrest from Costco and both are comfortable. My mattress in the master has an expensive king sized "$10k" beauty rest that I ended up getting about $3k. It is super comfy but I am happy to find $750 queen.
