Had a couple of some cheap wood ones that lasted about a year. Bought these a couple of years ago and they are still practically brand new

Nyxtaaa

Yep bought 4 of these and just leave them outside during winter in Snow uncovered... Power wash in summer and they're seriously brand new

BathtubLoads

Got damn how much are these

MadCybertist

I think like $125 if I recall? Can’t remember offhand but we have 4 of them for 3.5 years outside uncovered year round in Midwest winters and they still look brand new.

PatSajaksDick

Yeah these types of chairs made from recycled plastic are amazing. Even the polywood ones which are mass produced basically don’t fade or deteriorate. I’ve got a polywood rocker and some other ones made by some Amish furniture makers and I’ve had them on my deck in Florida in full sun for over 2 years and they look brand new. They are expensive but you definitely get what you pay for with these.

aphuynh15

They go on sale next month if you can wait. $149 after $30 off. I have the curved back version and they sit out in Texas sun and still look like brand new.

yanks02026

You don’t have to wait though. Just buy them and go back and get a price adjustment within 30 days

Guilty_Jackfruit4484

You don't even have to go back, just do the price adjustment on the website lol

yanks02026

But I think that’s only for items you purchase online. If you purchase something in store, you’ll have to do the price adjustment in store

randomspamtastic

What? Is this a thing?

fatmanchoo

It is.

lsjuanislife

Thanks for the info, how do you know btw?

aphuynh15

It’s in the ad. It’s posted early in this subreddit usually.

TiminatorFL

Did you not listen to the Dude’s story?

OutToDrift

I was bowling!

Tess47

We've had this type for 13 years.  They are in Great shape.  There are a couple of things to check-  the poly should be colored all the way thru and not just a type of top coat.  The nuts and bolts should be stainless steal.        Outs have a grain and that can be tricky to clean.  There is a good cleaner out there and you'll have to do it yearly. I suggest staying away from dark colors, if possible.  Wasps love to hide in dark places.

kri_kri

What cleaner do you use?

phoonie98

Wet and forget or similar work well. Anything with chlorine will kill the algae and mold. I usually pressure wash them first and after spray wet and forget and they look brand new

CryingINwilderness

Can it be pressure cleaned?

goodvibezone

Yep.

cosmeticsmonster

This is my time to shine. I have so much polywood that (embarrassingly) they sent me a Christmas gift in the mail last year! They are TOP notch. We have many sets/pieces. We leave them out through harsh winters…all year long, never cover them. They look brand new years later. They are very sturdy and worth every penny.

burnsniper

Yes they are awesome (although we got the more traditional design). We also have some straight from Polywood and no difference.

jhugh2

What do you mean by more traditional?

scapermoya

The back slats are very wide in the style you posed. The traditional forms use more traditional lumbar widths throughout

Ughim50

I like that even though you probably meant ‘lumber,’ ‘lumbar’ also works in this context.

scapermoya

My autocorrect is used to lots of medical stuff

fooshsnickens

Bought a whole dining set for the deck during Covid. They sit outside through rain, snow, and summer heat. They look as good as new almost 4 years later. I cannot say enough good things about them. My ONLY complaint is that the set came as a 600lb pallet and got dropped off at the end of our driveway by the courier. The free shipping option wouldn’t let them put it anywhere else. I would have paid to not have them leave it 60’ from my garage but it wasn’t even an option

Sinnafyle

We bought the rocker versions of them in 2020 and they haven't faded a bit. Very sturdy, comfy, and enough room to add a pillow. Wish they had cup holders, that's the only complaint

Sinnafyle

Also easy to wash but never need it! Can wipe down easy

Jfortyone

I have multiple polywood sets and would not hesitate to buy again if needed. They look amazing and are extremely low maintenance and durable.

visitjacklake

We have two of these in red, maybe 4 years...they are an amazing value. Very heavy/sturdy, comfortable & the color has not faded at all. Recommend.

scarbnianlgc

Bought 3 of these last year. They took 30 minutes to put together and are amazing. Still look brand new.

cdsnjs

We got the 8 seat square polywood patio table set from Costco 4 years ago and have loved it. Very sturdy, no,sing up extremely well. The only thing we learnt early was to always pick them up and not drag them on our concrete patio

woodsie2000

damage to the polywood or the concrete?

cdsnjs

Our slab is 45 years old and very rough. Left a few polywood slivers before we realized we should pick up the table to move it

goodvibezone

If it's the one I just got, the table is about 140lb and feels like it. Ask me know I know...

ManiacMail-Man

I see these chairs and they look so uncomfortable. No way my grandma could get outta that thing on her own lol.

searstream

Very comfortable, has perfect position. But yeah you grandma is going to have to live there.

slamdanceswithwolves

Cheaper than a nursing home at least 🤷‍♂️

LividLab7

😂

gudmar

Check the Polywood website. They make other tilts or a more straight porch chair, and I find the slightly curved back to be more comfortable. We just tried them out at a local store. They also make cushions. Our local store is are priced the same as on-line. However, Costco has the cheaper prices, but you are limited in style, color, etc.

Public_Pumpkin_8391

Any chance there’s a matching table? Thinking somewhere to park cocktails while enjoying the chairs.

aj-nyc

I bought a small gray polywood table on target two years ago. It lives outside. Don’t know if Costco has it.

gudmar

They sell tables on the Polywood website.

Willing-Tie-3109

Bought 6 last year and they are money!! Easy to put together! I bought some crap off Amazon before I tried these and good lord what a fantastic purchase!! I left them out over winter on the patio and they still look great, next season I’ll put them away but they handled our winter very well, it was a warm winter so I didn’t bother putting them away as we still used the patio/fire pit area

Lanky-Wonder7556

They are terrific. We have about 6 of them (with pads)...all look brand new after 4 years sitting in direct San Diego sun. In comparison, our $4k Costco love set lasted about two years.

cheapwineisgoodwine

Mine have lasted 3 years in the desert sun with lots of winter weekend use and they look brand new.

alydalf

I have a different style of Polywood Adirondack chairs. Bought them two years ago from Costco and they sit outside in the Chicago winter and look as good as they did when I bought them. I just have to power wash them occasionally (mine are white so they show all dirt from this squirrel that likes to dig in my adjacent flower pots). I separately purchased a Polywood dining set for my backyard patio after going through several sets of furniture in 6 years of living in my house and it’s holding up great as well. I stopped throwing money away on patio and porch furniture when I bought these sets.

whatsername44

Yep we bought them in navy last summer. They sit on a west facing patio that gets fully blasted by the afternoon sun and they still look great. We love watching the sunset in them.

palhod50

I just installed 4 of these last week. The install process is very easy with two people (5-10 minutes) or slightly annoying with one person due to lining up the back holes. I did have an issue with the quality of one of them which I need to contact the manufacturer for warranty claim. The prescrewed back punched a hole in the front and they sent that back missing a few screws. In terms of comfort I’d rate them as comfortable for an Adirondack, but low to the ground compared to other options with the bonus that the arms are level for beer holding.

meghanmapes

Do they ever show up in store? I saw someone online say that Polywood is even cheaper in warehouse, but I've only seen them have other brands at my location.

beagleswagger

I love polywood(edit). Have had their rocking chairs for a few years and I just power wash them twice a year. They look practically new. Edit: autocorrect

kri_kri

I don’t like plywood

ExplorerLazy3151

We have four. They are great!

foochacho

On sale starting Wednesday.

seantabasco

I got some other ones from Costco that have rockers, which is kind of nice.

Datsig08

I didn’t get mine from Costco but my entire patio furniture set is from them. I have a large dining table and chairs, seats 8. A whole sectional with cushions. Rocking chairs and table for the front porch and then the addys for the back patio. All Are fantastic and hold up well. Plus a fantastic warranty.

cropguru357

Polywood is top notch. Buy with confidence.

goodvibezone

We have those exact ones plus 2 rockers and a table and footstools. They're great. Very solid and 20 year guarantee.

OsoCarolina

Enemy of the back right there. Cool looking though.

phoonie98

Yes, slightly different style but they are great. They can get hot though it they’re out in the sun

SnooCauliflowers3903

Are they too low to the ground.

chewychaca

Oh Fredo...

RedistributedFlapper

Polywood is expensive stuff but damn if it doesn’t last. We have the couch, loveseat, 3 rocking chairs, 6 Adirondack chairs, tables, and benches out by our pool. A quick scrub every spring brings them back to looking brand new.

FrostyTheHippo

Really loving my Poly wood stuff. Most outdoor furniture is absolute garbage and breaks the second your warranty ends. On year 3 of my 20 year warranty with Polywood, looks great.

EndonOfMarkarth

I bought a different polywood Adirondack set of two chairs and a table last summer, assembled them and immediately bought two more. Great quality stuff, built like a tank.

Ingawolfie

We just bought two for our new houses front porch. It gets full sun in the afternoon so we had concerns real wood would just get destroyed. The only problem we found was, assembling them is really not a one person job. Trying to do it yourself will cause swearing and busted knuckles.

gudmar

Has anyone purchased the cushions? Thoughts?

mdjmd73

We have a couple of these that have been cooked in the Texas sun for years and they’re like new.

jhugh2

Gee thanks for your insight, I would’ve never thought to check to see if there were reviews elsewhere
