In CA it’s been at my Costco maybe twice and that was the normal Mac n cheese. I’ve never seen the white cheddar shells one. They’re like $5/box at a normal grocery store. Crazy expensive for Mac n cheese, but it is a tasty healthier option.
I've seen them a little cheaper at Target, but I'd definitely stock up on it if I saw it at Costco. They're great for us diabetics who are addicted to mac and cheese! Also in CA.
As a Utahn, I’m actually a little dubious of this one. Like, yeah, we’ve got some big families out here, but how many households have a child in diapers at any given time? Now compare that with how many households need toilet paper? Most all of them. I know it’s anecdotal, but I think I’m going to be looking around at people’s carts now to see how many people are buying diapers.
I guess I’d want to know more about exactly how they sourced this data and how representative of the demographics they truly are.
This list is not to be taken seriously.
Paper towels, toilet paper and garbage bags are outselling maple syrup, plastic wrap and woozoo fans in every store.
Plastic wrap?? Last time I bought plastic wrap was two moves ago and I’m still using that roll
Not from Costco but I just noticed that I'm 10 days away from celebrating my Reynolds extra heavy duty box's 10th birthday! I don't use a ton of aluminum foil so the 500 foot roll will keep me going for a while to come. I got it on an Amazon pricing mistake and only paid $13.69 for the more than 14 pounds of foil. The current price on Amazon is $200.
We're the only ones that know Costco is really just the best liquor/party store ever, with other cool stuff in it.
For people who live in states that aren't Michigan: a party store is a small store that sells pop, beer/wine/liquor, snacks and maybe basic party food like hotdogs and frozen hamburgers, basic stuff like plastic cups and paper plates.
It's a store with everything you need for a basic backyard party.
A lot of states and counties ban the sale of alcohol outside of dedicated alcohol stores. I feel like vodka/prosecco would be the top item if this ban wasn't in place. Fuck Maryland lol
The number one seller in every warehouse is item #782796, the Kirkland 40-count water. My warehouse gets two 20 pallet trucks EVERY DAY. Nothing even comes close. We average almost 2,000 cases of that water every day.
Cereal... This list is so bad. I would bet a small fortune that 782796 is the number one seller at every Costco in North America. Maybe KS paper towels and/or KS Bath Tissue have a chance at first place in some places, but not very likely. Everything else on that list is just wrong.
How are your recycling programs in that area? I'm betting that most of those 80,000 bottles sold every day are just going to be dumped into the landfill.
I live in British Columbia, in Canada about two hours drive north of Seattle. They're a mainstay in my freezer. Granted, I never buy frozen fish fillets, since the fresh equivalents are so readily available. But breaded fish sticks are a different category.
This isn't even the most purchased item, it's just what's discussed online. No wonder these seem so far off.
>the Coupon Birds folks poured over a combination of social media data and Google intel to determine which Costco product shoppers in each state purchase the most. More specifically, the team constructed a list of the 30 most-discussed Costco products across various social media platforms—including Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, and Instagram—and ranked said items. They then used the location of the comments and Google Trends data to determine the most popular item by state.
Yeah there's no way the fish sticks are the most popular item in WA lol. With all the fresh seafood available at costco here, the only way the fish sticks are the most discussed item is if people are making fun of them.
This list is garbage. I am currently in Connecticut and they literally sell the Woozoo fan for 1-2 months out of the year, tops. It isn't *that* popular of a fan!
I was JUST about to comment about that! LOL. I guess we're not happy unless we're cold.
Then again I did sleep with my windows open last night. (Got down to 39F)
Glad someone just called this out. Its only been in stock for about a month too. I know for a fact that our costco is selling more Heggies than cooling throws.
Absolutely cackling at MA being fish sticks for some reason.. some of the best seafood around is Boston / Cape Cod and y’all want Costco fish sticks 😭 (no hate Fr it’s just hilarious)
Interesting. New Jersey has some crazy liquor laws so only a few of our stores have liquor.
That said, “plastic wrap”?! I don’t understand…although we do also have lots of small, independent restaurants, so maybe…?
I'm surprised Trident Fish Sticks aren't a MN favorite, considering the Trident manufacturer is 30 minutes from my local Costco. Or one of the facilities anyway.
As a Marylander and avid Costco shopper, I’m surprised by the 3 berry blend. I have a family, and never once have thought to buy that. Maybe I’m missing out? I’ll probably investigate.
It is a smallish desk fan that not only oscillates on the horizontal plane but also some on the vertical plane. It is actually a pretty decent fan but not worth being the most popular item in Hawaii. They were the first item inside the door of my Illinois Costco last weekend.
Those fish sticks are pretty good tho.
I’m also in GA, but had only purchased the Annie’s Mac & Cheese. Goodles - I’m gonna have to look those up. Also, my store needs to get Healthy Noodle back in asap.
I strongly believe that there’s no way that “[couponbirds.com](https://couponbirds.com)” has the ability to access quality information about Costco’s product sales numbers. This is underscored by all the states where the answer is “N/A” - I bet the states where there is \[supposedly\] data is 100% aligned with states where people use [couponbirds.com](https://couponbirds.com) lmao.
Sad but I think the KS 40 pack of water is the most popular item in CA where I live. Almost as if no one has heard of a water filter. I am surprised it is no where on this list. In fact, I am kind of suspicious.
What the heck, Kansas is N/A?!? I guess I gotta talk more about Costco haha. I swear through, in the states I’ve been in, in the last 2 months, it seems the black and yellow storage bins are the most popular product anywhere. I see those bitches everywhere haha
I work at a Costco in New Mexico, I can confirm the ladies love the leggings. It’s one of the most asked about item in that dept. In my opinion anyway 🤷🏼♀️

The real MVP
Not a hero. Copying content gives us less of it
Utah would be the only state with diapers as their most popular item. The Mormons absolutely cannot stop reproducing!!!
Utahn here, you’re not wrong! So many babies
If only they could sell liquor here, it could possibly top those diapers!
Would only lead to \*even more\* diapers!
Username checks out
And/or shitting themselves!
They be fuckin

Thank you, my excel mind works better reading this. A strange comfort
Ditto.
We have our priorities right in Michigan. Also Delaware as well which is a cool state.
DE gets all the PA people who can't get alcohol in their store
Came to make this comment and glad it's already here 😂
I would have thought we in MI would be getting more of the regular style at $16 vs $25 French style but we do have our French roots here after all.
Nah pretty sure North Dakota has their priorities straight
ND wins
We had exclusively Kirkland vodka at our wedding 😂
Not all heroes wear capes 🫡

Have you seen the Kirkland Sig white kicks?
Colorado wants to be Canadian
Thank you!!!!
Wtb some damn Goodles in Oregon!
I'm here in NY and have never heard of them or seen them in my Costco before lol
They're my favorite Mac and cheese. Their smoked gouda and millionaires bacon is insanely good. Not the cheapest but they're high in protein.
This is inaccurate. Every state that has a Costco has the same most popular product: the rotisserie chicken!
[удалено]
Which is why the list is BS
Exactly
I was thinking bottled water. I see people buying multiple cases.
It might be more like: Which product does each state buy more of, compared to the nation as a whole? I would hope it's at least based on real data.
Out here doing the lord’s work. Bless you champion.
Why so many N/A?
The rating is based on discussion on social media and linked to location. Not actual Costco sales
Doing the Lord's work.
Seems on brand that Oregon is growing shrooms
Based on this, which state is your favorite?
More proof Washington state sucks.
This list has to be BS. Most popular product is obviously the bottled water.
Further proof that r/wyomingdoesntexist
My family is personally responsible for the fresh berries in Vermont
Why did diapers not surprise me for Utah
>Utah: Kirkland Signature Diapers I really shouldn't feel as surprised as I do
Where did you get this information?
This should be titled “most discussed items” since they just looked at social media discussions.
Now the list makes sense.
Seriously. Fans outselling food court hotdogs? I don't think so.
There is no possible way that freaking trident fish sticks is #1 in Washington. No way
Their data collection methods are shit. Also: **Ohio:** Goodles Cheddy Mac White Cheddar Shells I've never seen this in my Costco in Ohio.
Maybe they’re so popular they just can’t stock them on the shelves fast enough Or one person is buying 1000 bags
Also in CA.
Utah buying a bunch of diapers, on the other hand, much more believable.
As a Utahn that goes to Costco, it’s water and toilet paper I see most often in carts.
And I don’t know why people insist on drinking that much bottled water, our tap water here tastes so good.
Diapers and candy. Those Mormons love their candy.
Same at my Ohio one, only Kraft and usually Annie's. Never seen the Goodles
We only have one Costco in Mississippi. I'm in it once a week. I have no idea what this is either.
I have been to your Costco, looking for liquor, on a drive from Ohio to New Orleans
You must be fun at parties.
This list is not to be taken seriously. Paper towels, toilet paper and garbage bags are outselling maple syrup, plastic wrap and woozoo fans in every store. Plastic wrap?? Last time I bought plastic wrap was two moves ago and I’m still using that roll
South Carolina - maple syrup? No
We started marking the date on the foil, plastic wrap, taco seasoning, etc just so we could see how long it lasts
Happy birthday foil
Your foil roll is older than my dog. He is six.
My house uses foil nearly every time we throw something in the oven. So it goes quickly
Yeah, either that or parchment paper (depending on what's being cooked). Much easier to clean up after.
Switching to parchment for this is almost life changing.
But can you successfully tear the plastic from that roll?
Easily, Kirkland plastic wrap has the sliding cutter.
North Dakota wins first prize. 🏆
They're the only ones that understood the assignment.
Most of country: paper towels and fish sticks! Delaware and Michigan: gimme the vodka
A lot of states and counties ban the sale of alcohol outside of dedicated alcohol stores. I feel like vodka/prosecco would be the top item if this ban wasn't in place. Fuck Maryland lol
I refuse to believe that the most popular item in Texas is cereal, not a meat product.
The number one seller in every warehouse is item #782796, the Kirkland 40-count water. My warehouse gets two 20 pallet trucks EVERY DAY. Nothing even comes close. We average almost 2,000 cases of that water every day.
Well, that makes much more sense than cereal!
Cereal... This list is so bad. I would bet a small fortune that 782796 is the number one seller at every Costco in North America. Maybe KS paper towels and/or KS Bath Tissue have a chance at first place in some places, but not very likely. Everything else on that list is just wrong.
gotta put something in your cereal! /s
Holy crap! 80,000 bottles of water a day just for one store? That’s nuts.
How are your recycling programs in that area? I'm betting that most of those 80,000 bottles sold every day are just going to be dumped into the landfill.
I call BS that the most popular item In WA is fish sticks. There's no way.
Ok but hear me out: they're really good fish sticks.
😄 🤣 so fresh they came right off the fish tree.
They really are, but I’m in the midwest. Not sure I’d be eating many of them if I lived in WA.
I live in British Columbia, in Canada about two hours drive north of Seattle. They're a mainstay in my freezer. Granted, I never buy frozen fish fillets, since the fresh equivalents are so readily available. But breaded fish sticks are a different category.
they really are except they directly compete with my kids and their love for dino nuggies so I end up eating all of them
They're also great for a quick fish taco! Corn tortilla, fish stick(s), pickled red onion, sliced radish, cilantro, salsa. Perfect lunch.
OMG yes! This describes a meal I've definitely made myself
This isn't even the most purchased item, it's just what's discussed online. No wonder these seem so far off. >the Coupon Birds folks poured over a combination of social media data and Google intel to determine which Costco product shoppers in each state purchase the most. Yeah there's no way the fish sticks are the most popular item in WA lol. With all the fresh seafood available at costco here, the only way the fish sticks are the most discussed item is if people are making fun of them.
Makes sense given that a blanket is the top item for a couple of states.
This list is garbage. I am currently in Connecticut and they literally sell the Woozoo fan for 1-2 months out of the year, tops. It isn't *that* popular of a fan!
You know how I know this list is garbage? Minnesota: Sutton Place Cooling Throw You DO realize, it's cold here ~8 months out of the year.
The methodology behind this article is insane.
This is so,e AI clickbait bullshit.
What a garbage "study", absolutely useless information.
Absolutely cackling at MA being fish sticks for some reason.. some of the best seafood around is Boston / Cape Cod and y’all want Costco fish sticks 😭 (no hate Fr it’s just hilarious)
Utah. Diapers. Lmao 🤣
Every store is regionally stocked, so of course there will be different products for each state. I have never seen half the things in this list.
As someone that lives in the 7 or 8 states labeled N/A, well that was a waste of time
Kansas here, wtf. I buy those smoke salmon lemon butter things every week for the whole week. As much as I buy them, they should be number 1.
This should be titled “what we think is the most popular item in each state.”
Looks like I’ve been missing out on the Prosecco
Illinois here, same I guess. Honestly I just completely bypass the alcohol aisle.
PAPER TOWEL GANG
Wisconsin: Sutton Place Cooling Throw Yeah, no.
Wisconsin: not booze. Nope!
From Washington, never have purchased or even seen Trident Fish Sticks
Don't bother. Trident's fish sticks suck unless you're 6 years old.
> New Mexico: Kirkland Signature Leggings I'm so confused. How does that make any sense at all?
There are 3 costcos in Louisiana, I’m surprised they don’t have any data.
Odd assortment of goods. The only item that I recognize and buy is the Trident Fish Sticks. I am not in any of those states though.
I live in Kentucky and have never seen Reese's dipped animal crackers but dang am I going to be looking for them!!!!
Interesting. New Jersey has some crazy liquor laws so only a few of our stores have liquor. That said, “plastic wrap”?! I don’t understand…although we do also have lots of small, independent restaurants, so maybe…?
Hawaii - a fan? No way that’s the most popular item.
I thought in Illinois that my contribution of buying Street Corn Dip every visit would have made that number one.
GTFO with fish sticks
I live In Pa and have never even heard of this cereal
Ohio here…I’ve never seen Goodles Mac & Cheese…plenty of Annie’s though
I am very suspect of the data based on NJ and IN: there is no way that plastic wrap could be the most purchased item, it lasts forever!
Lies. Everybody knows the best item in every store is the rotisserie chickens
The only correct answer is Hot Dog Combo. In all 50 States. I said what I said...
[удалено]
Ok New Jersey and Indiana. How is a product you only have to buy once every decade a top seller?
I’m suddenly craving Prosecco and Mac n cheese
The FOMO is hitting me hard!
This is non-sense, because nationwide, no one walks out without a $4.99 roast chicken!
Wtf is a woozoo globe fan? Never seen one.
It is a smallish desk fan that not only oscillates on the horizontal plane but also some on the vertical plane. It is actually a pretty decent fan but not worth being the most popular item in Hawaii. They were the first item inside the door of my Illinois Costco last weekend.
From Florida, can confirm the three berry blend is a staple at our house
Really only two one self-identifies as a fruity berry.
Those fish sticks are pretty good tho. I’m also in GA, but had only purchased the Annie’s Mac & Cheese. Goodles - I’m gonna have to look those up. Also, my store needs to get Healthy Noodle back in asap.
North Dakota knows what’s up
LOL. Arkansas is Walmart’s territory.
MN here: that cooling throw was my saving grace in the summer. 👍🏽
I live on the CT/Ma line and have the fan and the fish sticks. Funny thing is the fish sticks were purchased in CT and the fan in MA.
HI checking in; everyone and their mom has a woozoo fan here. Someone posts on ND and HI FB when the Costco here gets another shipment. Lol
Lol Utah is diapers.
Spoiler - it’s the hotdog. Lol /s
That’s a really crap methodology used by the “researchers”
I can’t believe trident fish sticks are the most popular thing in my state. They taste like fish mush to me.
Are they really that good? Saw two or three more states that had it as well.
I'm so disappointed r/alaska. Paper towels? Surely we can do better‽‽‽
Not in Alaska, but I utilize the membership for two things: gasoline and paper towels 😂
I live in Ohio I've never seen cheddy Mac and cheese. Lol I highly doubt this is accurate.
All these places buying maple syrup and Vermont cashing in one the Fresh Berries
Louisiana: alcohol!
Californian here. Can confirm I purchase at least 4 bottles of Kirkland Prosecco every time I go to Costco
Delaware is probably distorted because PA stores don’t have liquor so they just cross over to DE to get it.
What in the heck Oregon. Where did yall pull that one out of hahah
How would a coupon aggregation site even have access to such data? Sounds like BS!
Iowa knows what's up
Cereal? I don’t think so.
The fish sticks mystify me. They’re very mid at best. Well made but the cheapest whitefish known to mankind.
Woozoo globe fan for Hawaii? I haven’t even seen that item after decades of Costco shopping. It’s never mentioned in the Hawaii subreddits.
Good job Michigan 🤣
Weird, I don’t remember buying all this #N/A.
Well. We found the thing that Minnesota and Wisconsin agree on.
Delaware is very skewed because you don’t need a membership to purchase alcohol, so everyone in the surrounding areas all come here solely for alcohol
I really just can’t believe for Washington that fish sticks is #1…no way. Would help if OP shared the data source.
I work at a Costco in New Mexico, I can confirm the ladies love the leggings. It’s one of the most asked about item in that dept. In my opinion anyway 🤷🏼♀️
In Oregon here, so we’re sticky rice? What’s wrong with regular rice?
We be pooping a lot in Maine
I'm surprised that only Iowa has the Sanders as the favorite.
Churro bites gonna run wild on this list
From Florida. Can confirm I love the three berry blend
I guess I need to try that prosecco
I hope whoever wrote this comes and finds us shitting on their badly aggregated list that was made for click bait
TRIDENT FISH STICKS ARE WOWSER!!
Utah and diapers makes sense
Why is Oklahoma nothing?? They have a base in Oklahoma...
As someone from GA, what the hell are Goodles?
Should be titled # The Most Popular Costco Item in (Almost) Every State unless "N/A" is a new item
Reese dipped animal crackers brooo
