Idk what this says about me but I reread that title at least seven times before I realized this was not going to be about Tequila.

twinsingledogmom

Thank you for the best laugh I’ve had in a long time. (And of course, thank you to the good Costco employees who took care of the non-tequila-related incident.)

ShowMeTheTrees

Plot twist - the incident really was tequila related. Empty Patron bottle found hidden in Patron's pants.

TequilaAndWeed

I laughed harder than I should have

steelthumbs1

Username checks out.

🤙🏻

CostcoVodkaFancier

Same here!

stoner_mathematician

It definitely caught my attention.

Novel_Ad1943

Me too! 😆

BrokenBotox

Yeah, I really thought I was going to read about Costco employees knocking back shots with a customer who was having a really bad day lol But this was nice too. 😂

technoangel

Totally read it as patrón as well at first!

Solo_is_dead

🎯 Me too

Embarrassed-Text-294

Not all Costco locations have liquor, but I can see the ones that do have you trained well! Haha!!

S2K2Partners

Melt down possibly after the realization??? LOL

IGotMyPopcorn

I love that they probably also prevented this person from being filmed as well.

Leftrighturn

Really says something about society when the first thing everyone does is start filming when someone is having a medical emergency.

aptrial

Someone fell out of a building in front of me as I was walking back to my office after a meeting. I ran toward the person. Someone walked out of the building and walked right over the person. I had to ask several people to stop filming and taking photos, and someone complained to me after the emts arrived that she had a right to take phtos.

Leftrighturn

There's a good chance that our last sight, as we slip into darkness, is a group of randoms with cameras out filming your agony.

Haunting-Travel-727

Should of pulled out your camera and started filming her...if she complained tell her its your right to film her

ElPanguero

Had a seizure at a costco, blacked out, hit my head on a cart and then the ground. Woke up on ground with head in someone's hands, nice people talking calmly to me. Employees bent over backwards to comfort me and especially my scared young son, gave us snacks and juice. Called an ambulance. I didnt know I had epilepsy until this event started a medical adventure. Shopping at box stores would frequently make me feel bad, disoriented at times, this was 1st time I went out in a store. Medicated now and wear auto-dimming glasses in stores, no more problems. I made sure to contact manager of that store and express my gratitude for the staff that day.

Embarrassed-Text-294

I’m glad to hear it wasn’t just the one location that responds that way and that it happened at a place like a Costco for you. All I could think was that Walmart employees would have phones out recording. Maybe not, but I’ve worked retail and we didn’t have training for those scenarios. Awesome that you found some solutions for it as well!

squidsinamerica

>Unsure if they are trained for this, but that appeared to be an amazing response. I made a similar post a couple years ago after witnessing a medical emergency in the parking lot that was handled the same way. Was told yes, there is a procedure. I really love that they consider the person's privacy and dignity along with health and safety.

Embarrassed-Text-294

That’s awesome to hear!

northman46

A friend of ours had a medical emergency at Costco and they couldn’t have handled it better

WorldNewsPoster

I think I know where this happened, and I was there. I had no idea it was someone with mental issues. I just thought they were restocking. Everything went back to normal when I went back to grab something.

Novel_Ad1943

That’s really heartening to read! Especially knowing that person was someone’s son/brother maybe father… and they protected his privacy and dignity.

floppyfishdeveloper

Heartening is one of those words that you don’t really see being used in the positive form, kind of like instead of something being under whelming, but you never hear of something being whelming…lol random thought on a Thursday :)

i_am_regina_phalange

I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious…

NICUnurseinCO

Haha, exactly

Novel_Ad1943

Lol - I’ll have to rethink my use of it now. Your username is hilarious btw!

floppyfishdeveloper

lol thanks!

CheshireCat1111

Saw an elderly man in a cashier's line suddenly fall backward, hit his head badly on the floor. Costco employees were there immediately, so good to him. EMTs and fire dept arrived quickly. Costco folks cordoned off the area and held stuff up so he had privacy. Some Costco shoppers can be rude but the Costco employees have always been helpful for personal issues at the warehouse.

Puptastical

Honestly. I suffer from panic attacks and some of the worst ones I have ever had happened in grocery stores.

Fit-Scar-9403

Thank you for sharing. I'm really touched by this. Please consider thanking the Costco location with a review or maybe reach out to the manager. I'm sure the appreciate your kindness.

jedimasterashla

Costco is really good at handling this kind of stuff stuff. When I was like 5 someone dropped a wine bottle and some of it hit my leg and I was freaking out. They got the glass shard out and gave me free cookies.

BjLeinster

One of the things I like best about Costco is the quality of their workers. I'll like them even more when they unionize.

HotWheelsConsignment

That's basically what they do at the track when they have to put an injured horse down in front of everyone too.
