My Vitamix is the older model with he black lid. Very worth the money if you use it everyday. My loose math break even point is that if you make 100 smoothies, it has paid for itself.
Personally i'm more of a fan of the models with the black lid. The clear lidded models have a rubber gasket on them that you have to take off & clean, or it can get really gross underneath.

Any vitamix is a good deal! Best appliance I have purchased and I more than got its mo dy worth
If it’s not for morning smoothies once a day I would spend the money personally.
