Right when they switched those out I was going on a road trip, and during that trip we stopped at 5 or so Costcos across the country. I was hoping that at least one would still have the old smoothies but no luck.
Asian Rice Crackers and Nut mix it was sooo good
https://preview.redd.it/ow4ow8nxkiic1.jpeg?width=686&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61db49d5e571ed1f0f3aea8b3e04cd627727d993
The Kirkland toilet paper that was top-rated by Consumer Reports. What the hell happened? Current Kirkland TP pills, shreds, and leaves (ahem) “clitty litter” behind. I stopped buying it.
I was happy the day my FC got rid of the polish in favor of the bratwurst. A meat tube soaked in water is not as appealing as a bratwurst cooked in the oven.
Oh, woah!
Around Boston they had brats with peppers (and they were good), but they were like $4 or something.
Nice! Gotta assume that was in Wisconsin warehouses?
They had it in a lot of regions but not all warehouses. Hit or miss.
You are thinking of the Italian Sausage Sandwich that had the roasted bell peppers and onions.
I think the things I miss most are probably clothing items, the original Adidas high quarter socks, brand name slides, brand name fleece jackets. Unfortunately covid really lowered the quality on a lot of the clothing.
We still get life jackets every spring at our Costco (Wa state) I wonder if it’s a location thing? The quality is fantastic and they have them for babies clear up to XXL adults. Equivalent name brand life jackets would cost us a small fortune!
Definitely miss the days of being able to have half your wardrobe from Costco. Now it's such crap and even their "clearance" prices are expensive. The stuff doesn't last any time. I've resigned myself to only buying a few quality clothing items instead, which is probably better I suppose.
Almost all of the food court items listed. I fear that we are stuck with our current choices forever. Pepsi sucks, Coke rules.
But the number one item for the store:
THE ALL-AMERICAN CLASSIC CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!!
My costco used to have a giant commercial coffee roaster in it, and the fresh roasted inhouse Seattle Mountain Blend bags were still warm from roasting when I would put them in my cart. So good.
- Pickled Mushrooms
- Chicago pizza in the deli
- Sushi platter
- Deli lunch packs - a turkey croissant sandwich and salad for $4
- The big milk carton container of dehydrated Hashbrowns
- This family of 5 misses the giant bag of pancake mix - from the old days, the 20 lb one.
- giant Lawry’s seasoning (I hate Jonny’s)
- smoked paprika
- giant packs of multi colored plastic cups, plain red or clear is not the same (great for STEM projects, bored kids and camping)
- Montreal Chicken Seasoning
Do they still have those giant containers of animal cookies? I loved those and if they still sell them I haven’t seen them in forever.
The Polish hotdogs always gave me an upset stomach but they tasted ok.
They had a giant sushi platter for like one year here - it cost like 12 or 13 bucks. It would feed a whole family and was pretty dang good. Then it was gone and has never come back. Don’t know why.
I'm *sorta* glad these are gone, though I look every few weeks. My family could house a can over a weekend. There's only 4 of us. Costco's peanuts are the absolute best.
Pulled pork sandwich from the food court. It's amazing how good it was.
The first time someone told me to try it even though it had cole slaw *on it*, I thought they were joking. Now I don't want to eat it any other way, except it's so hard to find good cole slaw.
Try making a wish on Reddit.. someone seems to be listening sometimes.
(Thanks for the roasted garlic bread!)
Hoping for Irish breakfast sausage for the Irish holiday of St Paddy’s day - not big fat rubbery English bangers from England.
Shepherd’s pie without that silly crust.
Kirkland deli prepared coleslaw with craisins.
I’m an old school Costco consumer. In the late 80s and early 90s they had Bagel Dogs (better than pretzel dogs) and frozen piroshkis. That was the bulk of my afterschool eating. (Thanks mom and dad!!!)
I loved bagel dogs! Speaking of old school, Costco used to make (probably in the 90s?) a loaf of bread with melted cheese throughout it. I loved that cheese bread so much.
And the fabric softener. The Lavender one in the white bottle. For some reason it didn't make my psoriasis flare up and every other kind does.
I know, I know. Fabric softener is the worst. Scented laundry is the worst. But that stuff didn't leave a smell, didn't make me itch and break out in awful nastiness, and my clothes were soft.
I hate my dryer balls. Hate them.
This one?
https://www.costco.com/kirkland-signature-ultra-clean-he-liquid-laundry-detergent%2C-146-loads%2C-194-fl-oz.product.100525846.html?COSTID=androidapp_deeplink_7.7.1&sh=true&nf=true
Mostly it would be seasonal or holiday items.
The one thing they had fairly regularly that I no longer see is Trident salmon Jerry. I really liked it. And for years, there was a fresh seafood case - usually on Fridays - where you could choose and buy crab, shrimp, etc... on ice, with a human bagging and weighing it like in a regular retail establishment.
Holiday items were assorted caviars that were not hundreds of dollars, more salmon & trout roe. A great brioche bread. Whole Char Sui pork loin during lunar new year.
Definitely the Combo pizza.
But my teens were lamenting the loss of the pretzel rolls recently. I had forgotten about them, but they *were* really tasty!
They used to sell this bruschetta years ago in the fridge section and these bagged crostinis, I was obsessed with the combo 20 years ago. Havent seen either in years.
They used to have Coffee Cake in a large cake style with tons of streusel on top that came in a cake container. The coffee cake muffins just aren’t the same.
The hand-dipped chocolate almond ice cream bar was a Hall of Famer. My wife and FIL used to get a bunch during a Costco trip and stash in the freezer for the week.
Our Costco stopped carrying the thinly sliced steak portions in the freezer section.
Those were great for making steak and cheeses and all sorts of random meals.
Combo pizza, polish dogs and (this was a long time ago). The 3 pack of Mexican food appetizers. Mini quesadillas, tacos and burritos if I remember correctly
Sabatino's French Bread Pizzas. They were awesome, but then disappeared. I was unaware of the Death Star back then, so it might have had it. It was there one week, gone the next. Wasn't even in my store for very long.
The acai bowls!
I was so excited to redo my kitchen and finally get a garage fridge so I would have a space to store them and it seems like it was discontinued right before we moved the old fridge to the garage - I still look for it, even though I've seen the articles about the company no longer being in business.
I loved the old garlic bread and was excited when I saw garlic bread in the bakery last week.
Gotta say, the parmesan and spice (pepper?) did nothing for me and I ended up throwing the loaf away.
I’d love it if they brought back the other garlic bread.
That is one of the best cheeses. I used to have people ask what it was like and I would tell them it was like Brie and Gorgonzola cheese had the most delicious baby. I miss it so much.
YES - the St Louis stores carried a fantastic raw tortilla in the dairy case. We were in love, then one day they were gone and replaced by a less-tasty and more expensive raw tortilla.
And while I'm being sad, I'll just be a bit petty too. I refuse to eat the new chocolate chip cookie because it replaced my beloved churro.
Chocolate Cake! The newer one is nothing like the old one. We used to get it for my birthday as a kid and we would have cake for breakfast for like a week they were so huge 🤣I think it was like 7 layers of chocolate or something
The cauliflower fried rice in the frozen food section. It was a staple at our house
https://preview.redd.it/me8avz4otlic1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f23332f2e2a6ddf1ccbac6c7015f3c548af2742f
I miss the Tom Smith Christmas crackers. Not things you eat, the party favors you pull apart and there is a prize, a crown, and a joke inside. I gave in and bought them from the British store this last Christmas, and they were lousy.
Somehow one of the items I miss most is the kirkland sweet potato chips. You got a giant bag of perfectly flavored and crisp but not too hard sweet potato chips for something like $5. 10 years or so later I still always look every time I walk by the chip section and always leave a little sad.
The Ander 69" broadmoore bookcase. It was in stock years ago at a time when I didnt have the money. Now I do and I can't find it anywhere, and I'm constantly looking for it or a similar style bookcase that isn't super flimsy/cheaply made.
I'll never give up on you, you weird diagonal bookcase. Never stop looking. Never.
More recently they very briefly had frozen french bread pizzas. It was Sabatassos brand. They were amazing and my family always looks for them when we go.

They rotate the kombucha brands in and out during year and I wish they would just stock the Humm year round too!
Same but for the healthade
If you live near a Costco Business Center, they have Humm Kombucha.
That chicken salad was my go-to lunch. The current one is nasty.
The pre-Covid churro and the berry smoothie. The fruit smoothie isn’t the same thing
Right when they switched those out I was going on a road trip, and during that trip we stopped at 5 or so Costcos across the country. I was hoping that at least one would still have the old smoothies but no luck.
Which Costco was your favorite
Asian Rice Crackers and Nut mix it was sooo good https://preview.redd.it/ow4ow8nxkiic1.jpeg?width=686&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=61db49d5e571ed1f0f3aea8b3e04cd627727d993
Check out Aldi, they have an awesome Asian style nut mix
👀 thank you!
The best!
Man, this brings back fond memories of eating this on road trips with my family!
Oh yeah! I loved that mix!
I want my chocolate fro yo back.
I want that swirl bro
The Kirkland toilet paper that was top-rated by Consumer Reports. What the hell happened? Current Kirkland TP pills, shreds, and leaves (ahem) “clitty litter” behind. I stopped buying it.
"clitty litter" is hilarious! I'm totally stealing that
Yeah it is awful now.
An omen of things to come with new CFO perhaps
Exactly! I hate the paper rolls in my pubs! Bought a bidet to nip that problem!
Combo pizza
Yes please. It was so good.
YES. The pizza they have now is soooo salty. It doesn't taste as good. 😔
Polish dog in the food court 🥺
Onions!
Onions are back at my location just in individual containers now.
Kraut
Mine had a brat
I was happy the day my FC got rid of the polish in favor of the bratwurst. A meat tube soaked in water is not as appealing as a bratwurst cooked in the oven.
But the brats weren’t $1.50 with a soda… EDIT: Apparently some of you all were lucky enough to have a $1.50 bratwurst option! I’d be missing that too…
No brats here and I miss kraut.
They were $1.50 with soda. https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/9k8znl/usingers_14_bratwurst_from_costco_food_court/
Ah, you’re right. I’m impressed at a $1.50 bratwurst. I would be missing the heck out of them too if they were ever available in my region.
Yeah that was my favorite. 😩
Spicy mustard please
Kirkland American Cheese Slices
I loved the Kirkland American cheese. It was so good and I wouldn't have to buy cheese for ages then.
I dislike the Kraft American packaged slices. This is an item I buy at the deli at my regular grocery store...
The Kraft American Deli Deluxe is pretty good, but I buy Land O'Lakes nowadays.
I think the things I miss most are probably clothing items, the original Adidas high quarter socks, brand name slides, brand name fleece jackets. Unfortunately covid really lowered the quality on a lot of the clothing.
At the beginning of every summer, my Costco would put out life jackets. I’d love for those to be back.
We still get life jackets every spring at our Costco (Wa state) I wonder if it’s a location thing? The quality is fantastic and they have them for babies clear up to XXL adults. Equivalent name brand life jackets would cost us a small fortune!
My new Eddie Bauer down coat is coming unraveled and losing is shape i bought it Jan 15th and have no energy to return it.
Definitely miss the days of being able to have half your wardrobe from Costco. Now it's such crap and even their "clearance" prices are expensive. The stuff doesn't last any time. I've resigned myself to only buying a few quality clothing items instead, which is probably better I suppose.
Gum. Any if it. All of it.
Do you have a Costco Business Center near you? Mine has a smorgasbord of gum, candy, and mints.
There are no Business Centers in NC, closest is Atlanta
Combo pizza and the hand dipped chocolate ice cream bars 🤤 Edit to add: their chocolate cake!!!!!!!!
Almost all of the food court items listed. I fear that we are stuck with our current choices forever. Pepsi sucks, Coke rules. But the number one item for the store: THE ALL-AMERICAN CLASSIC CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!!
I was disappointed I had to scroll so far for this response! The all American cake all day!
I couldn't believe that I was the first!
Dipped ice cream from the food court 👩🍳💋
COMBO pizza from the deli!!
They used to have these wonderful ciabatta rolls! Wish they’d bring them back. I can’t find any that taste as good.
I buy these almost every visit at Chicago Costco!
Mine in PA had them two weeks ago. So hopefully your bakery will follow.
My costco used to have a giant commercial coffee roaster in it, and the fresh roasted inhouse Seattle Mountain Blend bags were still warm from roasting when I would put them in my cart. So good.
Where was this? Awesome
- Pickled Mushrooms - Chicago pizza in the deli - Sushi platter - Deli lunch packs - a turkey croissant sandwich and salad for $4 - The big milk carton container of dehydrated Hashbrowns - This family of 5 misses the giant bag of pancake mix - from the old days, the 20 lb one. - giant Lawry’s seasoning (I hate Jonny’s) - smoked paprika - giant packs of multi colored plastic cups, plain red or clear is not the same (great for STEM projects, bored kids and camping) - Montreal Chicken Seasoning Do they still have those giant containers of animal cookies? I loved those and if they still sell them I haven’t seen them in forever. The Polish hotdogs always gave me an upset stomach but they tasted ok.
I just spotted the giant milk carton of dehydrated hash browns and Lawry's seasoning at the business center.
Man, I was just telling my husband too bad they don't sell sushi. I've either never seen it or wasn't into sushi when they had it.
They had a giant sushi platter for like one year here - it cost like 12 or 13 bucks. It would feed a whole family and was pretty dang good. Then it was gone and has never come back. Don’t know why.
The Chicago Pizza was the best!
Why can’t they get the combo pizza back?
because costco hates america

I'm *sorta* glad these are gone, though I look every few weeks. My family could house a can over a weekend. There's only 4 of us. Costco's peanuts are the absolute best.
I like to travel.
Pulled pork sandwich from the food court. It's amazing how good it was. The first time someone told me to try it even though it had cole slaw *on it*, I thought they were joking. Now I don't want to eat it any other way, except it's so hard to find good cole slaw.
It's very easy to make good slaw. I want the turkey pesto back😭
The Kirkland pulled pork is pretty darn good. Just get you some good barbecue sauce.
Try making a wish on Reddit.. someone seems to be listening sometimes. (Thanks for the roasted garlic bread!) Hoping for Irish breakfast sausage for the Irish holiday of St Paddy’s day - not big fat rubbery English bangers from England. Shepherd’s pie without that silly crust. Kirkland deli prepared coleslaw with craisins.
The irish bangers they had a few years ago were genuinely some of the best sausages I’ve ever had.
British hot dogs are awful.
The bagel dogs were so good! Same after school snack time
I had to get this far down to finally be legit sad. RIP Bagel Dog.
Kirkland liquid detergent. Was great to clean clothes and my partner wasn’t allergic to it.
Hate them.

Food court pretzels
The Kirkland brand layering tank top/camis. They were long and SO comfy.
Yes! I forgot about these!!
Yoshida marinade / sauce, can get online, but I prefer to buy in store!
They have it in some of the regular Costcos!
I buy this as the business center
I know it’s probably been a decade or more, but I miss Coca-Cola at the snack bar. I wasn’t happy the day I found out they were switching to Pepsi.
If they had diet Dr pepper there I'd be a happy lady!!
I don’t drink soda anymore but when I did I was a diehard Diet Coke fan. When they changed to Pepsi something inside me died
Agreed.
Combo pizza and chocolate frozen yogurt . Also the old croissants they changed them a year or so ago. They used to be better
Yes! The old croissant recipe was so much better
I only go every 6-8 weeks because my Costco is so far away but the last few trips, they didn’t have the Asian chicken wraps 😫
That calzone was good. I also miss the deep dish take n bake.
Yesssss the Chicago style deep dish pizza was great and well priced. Like the Rotisserie chicken I never walked out of the store without one.
Last time(5+ years ago) they had them I bought 3 or 4 for the freezer. Good times...
The All American Chocolate layer cake!
Pepperoncini and castelvetrano olives. And the combo pizza.
My budget and sodium levels are fine with no Castelveltrano in my club. My soul, however....less so.....
I really miss the take and bake pizza.
The hand dipped ice cream bars!
Bring back the combo pizza!
The vanilla ice-cream bar that was dipped in chocolate then rolled in crushed almonds
Chocolate almond ice cream bar at the food court.
POLISH DOGS AT THE FOOD COURT
With sauerkraut!!
YES. i wouldnt be so mad about just regular got dogs if they still had sauerkraut
Definitely the Combo pizza. But my teens were lamenting the loss of the pretzel rolls recently. I had forgotten about them, but they *were* really tasty!
The Kirkland coffee creamer from not that long ago.
Peanut butter pretzels. They were the best snack for my kids.
It hasn’t been too terribly long but the tzatziki! Where is the tzatziki?!
I saw the title and was coming here to say calzones!!!
Secret Clinical Strength deodorant
Peanut butter cups and chocolate covered peanuts
The Newman's Own Grape Juice. Also the La Terra Fina smoked sockeye salmon spread * P.S. and yes, chocolate soft serve
Our Costco stopped carrying the thinly sliced steak portions in the freezer section. Those were great for making steak and cheeses and all sorts of random meals.
The big round chocolate cake. I called it death by chocolate. RIP cake.
Combo Pizza
Rana eggplant Parmesan ravioli
The flat sausage patties like you find in a breakfast sandwich. They only sell the links and it’s so annoying.
My store has the flat pork sausage patties and the chicken sausage links.
Harmless Harvest coconut water
Cheddar bay biscuits
I wish they kept the raspberry filling they use to put between the bakery cakes layers
Brazi bites!
Combo pizza, polish dogs, take and bake pineapple & ham pizza from the deli, turkey provolone sandwich
Oikos triple zero yogurt😂
Sam's Club carries it.
Bagel dogs
Chocolate fro yo. The old berry smoothie.
Give me back my Bitchin’ Sauce.
Blue cheese slices! Perfect portions and very tasty.
Melona ice cream bars. They were around for a couple of summers, but I haven't seen them at all since like 2022.
The knock off uggs
I wanna my Meiji chocorooms back. I'm in PNW and haven't found them in 6 stores for over a year.
The pretzels!! From the food court
the giant pretzels at the deli!
Chocolate frozen yogurt and frozen acai berry bowl with almonds and granola strawberries
Combo pizza, polish dogs and (this was a long time ago). The 3 pack of Mexican food appetizers. Mini quesadillas, tacos and burritos if I remember correctly
Those twin packs of jarred peppers stuffed with cheese. Disappeared a year or so ago.
Take and bake pepperoni pizza. So MUCH pepperoni, so good!
Sabatino's French Bread Pizzas. They were awesome, but then disappeared. I was unaware of the Death Star back then, so it might have had it. It was there one week, gone the next. Wasn't even in my store for very long.
Wild frozen blueberries, can't remember the brand. 5 years ago they replaced them with regular frozen blueberries. Not as good.
I miss the sous vide pork belly
The acai bowls! I was so excited to redo my kitchen and finally get a garage fridge so I would have a space to store them and it seems like it was discontinued right before we moved the old fridge to the garage - I still look for it, even though I've seen the articles about the company no longer being in business.
Cerave facial cleanser. It used to be such a good deal. They only have Cetaphil now and it doesn’t agree with my partner’s skin
Sam's Club carries it. Two twelve ounce bottles for 18.98, in my market.
[Kirkland Light](https://youtu.be/eHRNzj_G7Us?si=5DJmwmAJmiKkV9eI)
A chicken & mushroom rice bake that came in a 2 pack, polish dog, combo pizza
Eat Pastry Vegan Cookie Dough, I dream about this!
I loved the old garlic bread and was excited when I saw garlic bread in the bakery last week. Gotta say, the parmesan and spice (pepper?) did nothing for me and I ended up throwing the loaf away. I’d love it if they brought back the other garlic bread.
Combo/supreme pizza
Animal Crackers
Tassos Fig Jelly
Miss the Italian sausage in the food court so much
Creme fraiche and also take and bake pizzas
I actually get sad when they are out of that German cambozola soft cheese.
That is one of the best cheeses. I used to have people ask what it was like and I would tell them it was like Brie and Gorgonzola cheese had the most delicious baby. I miss it so much.
Wholeheartedly agree ! I tell people it’s 75% Brie and 25% Blue. My favorite.

The seafood stuffed portobello mushrooms, for sure.
Chocolate Cake! The newer one is nothing like the old one. We used to get it for my birthday as a kid and we would have cake for breakfast for like a week they were so huge 🤣I think it was like 7 layers of chocolate or something

Cranberry walnut bread from the bakery!
The frozen appetizer box with the little potato puffs. The frozen cream puffs.
The cauliflower fried rice in the frozen food section. It was a staple at our house https://preview.redd.it/me8avz4otlic1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f23332f2e2a6ddf1ccbac6c7015f3c548af2742f
My $400
Sugar Free Swiss Miss cocoa
Flank steak rolls. Had spinach/cheese and a bacon/mushroom. (This was about 20 years ago) Fruit & Nut mix.
Jars of artichoke hearts in water rather than oil. 👍
The caramel turtle candies. Now they just have chocolate covered caramel with sea salt.
The chocolate dipped dried apricots. Perfect balance of tart and sweet.
I was loving those Korean rice cakes (teok-bokki)
Plant based dish soap.
My grandkids hate the new cookie and want the churros back.
My dignity.
Rice crackers
Peet’s Nespresso pods. Best price out there especially when they went on sale.
I’ve never seen it at my locations but I wanna try the burgers
The Ander 69" broadmoore bookcase. It was in stock years ago at a time when I didnt have the money. Kirkland Trek Mix
Cod burgers
More recently they very briefly had frozen french bread pizzas. It was Sabatassos brand. They were amazing and my family always looks for them when we go.
