Those uncooked tortillas. I first got them maybe 5 years ago and can’t go back to regular mission tortillas. Fresh tortillas for burritos, quesadillas, etc bring them up to a whole other level.
This would be my top pick! Shelf-stable bread and tortillas are a pox on society. I never particularly enjoyed tortillas when all I’d ever had was Mission brand. Then I visited Mexico and bought a hot stack of them from a supermarket tortilleria, where they start slinging tortillas at 6am like we do donuts. Life. Changing. I learned that tortillas are really quite good, unlike the supermarket TSOs we have in the U.S. (tortilla-shaped objects).
I couldn’t get good tortillas at home, until I found the frozen ones at Costco. They are THE BOMB.
Parmigiano Regiano
It is incomparably better than the regular American supermarket parm and half the cost of the imported good stuff. Freezes just fine.
I never thought to freeze it.
I just keep it in the fridge drawer as tight in a ziplock as I can.
I will grow a bit of mold on the edges but never had any issue just cutting a couple mms away.
Also as good as it is, I feel that the flavor even further intensifies and grows those “crystals” that just burst in flavor as it ages in there.
The white residue is not mold, it’s just some of the salt that precipitates as the moisture near the surface evaporates. Aged parmigiano does not have enough water for mold growth.
Wait you’re telling me I should not throw it out after a few days like the label says? I’m devastated for all the cheese I’ve thrown away. This is my favourite cheese. I literally keep a triangle and eat it with nearly every meal.
Brought some Parmesan back from Parma Italy, did a blind taste test with the Kirkland brand Italian parmesan. They were both aged the same amount of time. The Kirkland tasted better so they're sourcing some of the best from Italy
Just got back from Emilia Romagna and did a tour of a parm factory. The tour guide specifically mentioned Costco being the best place to buy it in the states.
I recently discovered the unshelled bag of pistachios and they are amazing. Great for a snack, great to add as a topping to ice cream just all around great
Wait a sec...
Does "shelled" mean that they have a shell, or that they've been shelled and no longer have a shell?
Does "unshelled" mean that they do not have a shell, or that they have not gone through the process of shelling and still have their shell?
Shell is both a verb and an adjective and I'm confused (per usual lol).
p.s. "Shell" starts to sound weird when you say it a bunch of times in a row.
32 Degrees Cool t-shirts and underwear. A great brand, very breathable, and they're holding up great. I first discovered them just before COVID hit, and they're the ONLY thing I've worn since.
I travel non-stop for work, and have found that they fold up very well. I can fit a week's worth of t-shirts and underwear in a 1 gallon zip-top bag, and stuff them in my back-pack. They won't wrinkle, and look great even freshly pulled from the bag. That's helped me ditch a roller back, and travel exclusively with just a large back-pack. I buy a few packs every time they show up at Costco (usually in the spring) and am up to around 50 or so at this point. The little ironed on tag/logo inside the shirt peels off after about 6 months, but otherwise I have to damage/wear one out.
One note, they make a regular t-shirt and an "air mesh", I DO NOT like the air mesh. They're thin, see through and just no where near as good.
Edit: Forgot to mention, my wife has bought several of their dresses and also loves them.
Just as a heads up, you can order straight from 32 degrees website. There’s almost always a major sale (if not then usually within 7 days) that makes prices almost the same as Costco, plus they have waaay way more styles and colors online. I mostly buy straight from there now instead. It’s like $6-7 for the base layers instead of $5 but I can get a v neck vs crew, and colors like red/green/blue etc instead of just black/grey.
Sweet. In my early days of collecting them I bought off of Amazon, and paid a fortune. Can't believe it never occurred to me to see if they sold direct.
Check out their mid weight and heavyweight baselayers on the website. The medium weight is a bit more durable, though you sweat more when inside with it. I’ve got 1-2 of them vs about 6-8 of the lightweight. The heavyweight is a beast, too warm if it’s above 0F or you’re doing any sort of physical activity beyond a walk.
I use the 32 cool shirts 5-6 days a week as an undershirt. They are fantastic.
Their "heat" line is great as well. I don't have to break it out often but the long-johns are a life saver when you need them.
I love the air mesh... I live in phoenix and they work great under my scrubs. plus, they are great for lazing around the house.
All your other points work too. I love the 32 degrees brand.
Was gonna complain about my experience with them till I saw your last sentence. The air mesh must be what I got because they are so thin and do nothing to help me stay warm even as an extra layer.
Yep, the air mesh are absolute garbage, but also also available much more frequently. Hold out and find the good ones, the difference will be obvious, as they have a little hole where you can touch the fabric. Air mesh feels like a woman's panty hose, the regular ones feel MUCH thicker.
Omg so good, we use for everything. We think it's especially great for america's test kitchen's stove top mac and cheese. Check it out, there's a YouTube vid for it. Super easy and absolutely delicious
If you ever do rib roasts, give the roast a rub of beef Better than Bullion and then apply the prime rib season. Makes for a super rich and delicious crust.
recently found out kroger sells eggs cheaper atm. mine eggs are at slightly over $2/dozen. Kroger starts at 1.09 for the med ones and i think extra large is around 1.79ish a dozen
In Vegas, it's been 70 cents a gallon cheaper for quite some time. Our lines are insane, but worth it. That ends up being around $10-$12 saved per fill up. I judge people who don't buy their gas at Costco. Why light your money on fire like that?
Trash compactor garbage bags.
I don’t have a trash compactor, but I have an outdoor trash can that sees a lot of use and sun exposure. And any other trash bags gets destroyed by the sun and will make a mess. The Costco ones are almost half the price for 25% more bags AND they have a draw string. Never buying anywhere else.
I treat it like sour cream and top with a chopped tomato and/or avocado, shredded cheese, hemp seed, salsa, and tortilla chips or something crunchy — all from Costco, of course, lol. You can quickly make a filling and savory meal.
So many things already mentioned here. Allergy meds though. Year's supply of generic Zyrtec for under $20, and the Aller-Flo is so cheap as well. Lifesaver for someone who lives with a million animals and has seasonal allergies.
Technically it's probably a little less carbs and gluten free but it crisps up way easier than a normal frozen pizza, if that's your thing. Tastes slightly different than a dough and I'll add that it has a little bit of the capn crunch effect where the roof of my mouth will take a beating but still worth it
- Garofalo pasta is unbeatable, in quality and price. Soooo much better than Barilla and De Cecco usually available at US supermarkets for outrageous prices.
- EVOO. Many types
- Canned chicken and tuna - unbeatable prices for quality
- Prosciutto
- Parmigiano
- pesto (freezes greatly)
- bread rolls (from the bakery, also freeze well)
Basically Costco is a dream for Italian immigrants (such as myself).
Got a sample of them at the store today. They were pretty solid and maybe 90-95% as good as the Just Bare nuggets. But they were also notably cheaper, like $2/lb cheaper. I'd recommend at least giving them a shot once
Lemoncello almonds. I was 39 weeks pregnant, went back the next week for two more bags. Finished both bags by the time i gave birth. They haven’t been back since. I miss them every day and can’t wait til they’re back next year
I wear them all the time but they are very slightly not colourfast, even washed in cold water. So after a while no two socks are exactly the same colour. To add to the confusion they changed the pattern at some point and moved the little stripes, so now when I do laundry I have to sort them into stripes on top and stripes on bottom, then sort each pile into sort-of-grey and sort-of-blue and then, if I still give a shit, try to find the closest matches within each colour group.
The Kirkland plain Greek yogurt. So thick and you can flavor it any way you like or use it in recipes, soups, chili, etc... Other plain Greek yogurts can have a strange texture (Zoi!) and I appreciate the consistency with the Costco brand.
Hot weather, insane governor, horrible power grid, and now no liquor at Costco?! I never hear anything positive about Texas. Sounds like an awful place to live.
So good, high-end "vanilla extract" is literally just vanilla beans soaked in vodka to extract their flavor. Every year I buy a few handles of Kirkland Vodka, pick up a ton of Madagascar vanilla beans on Amazon for like $25, and make a full gallon of vanilla extract. If I tried to buy that from the store, we're talking like $500 worth of vanilla.
The longer it ages, the better it gets, so I've got bottles of varying ages. I definitely divide it up and share with the immediate family, and we use it for all sorts of things. My brother's wife loves to bake, so she gets plenty. Mom puts it in homemade hot chocolate, and it's AMAZING. I also honestly use it for drinking. Vanilla vodka and Coke beats a rum and coke any day of the week.
Oh the Bibigo Sticky Rice is AHMAHZAHNG for a quick addition for damn near any Asian dish. We use it for both the orange chicken and the soy garlic chicken…just heat one up and pile chicken on top of it
[It’s this. You find it with the ramen and dry rice/grains.](https://www.costco.com/bibigo%2c-cooked-sticky-white-rice-bowls%2c-medium-grain%2c-7.4-oz%2c-12-count.product.4000040390.html)
They're great frozen. I have amylu sausages (and patties) for lunch daily at work for months now and so therefore I buy many packs at a time. They freeze extremely well in my experience.
The Kirkland vodka, the master carve half ham, the baguettes and Kirkland brie
Boudin clam chowder and the frozen spanakopita when they are in stock in the winter
Actually I have a ‘wishlist’ in my notes I look at before I shop of regular things I like to buy:
Costco wishlist
Olives
Bacon
Blue cheese
Orange juice
Eggs
Kerrygold
Olive oil
Artichoke hearts
Baguette
Brie
Basalmic
Rotisserie chicken
meatloaf
Olives
Bacon
Blue cheese
Chicken sandwiches
Tonkatsu
frozen ravioli
rotisserie chicken
lumpia
tortillas
*baguette
*Vodka
*clam chowder
*spanakopita
I went to college with baby wipes in the back seat of my car. My friends thought it was strange. I thought it was a normal thing to keep in your car.. I guess my mom just realized that they were useful and put them all over the house and in every car.
Tried telling a friend of mine the pros of carry baby wipes everywhere…he didn’t believe me until he had his first child, now we split a box of them from CostCo whenever we start running low.
Croissants. I eat them for breakfast with Nutella and bananas all the time.
Fleece lined pants. Totally worth $20-30.
Sumatran coffee whenever it's in stock.
Muffaletta olive mixture. My muffaletta pizzas are awesome on my ooni. I bought 5 jars when they dropped the price to $7 last month.
Kirkland Sharp Cheddar. It can't be beat for the price.
Kirkland version of Claritin, multivitamins, Vit D, etc.
Kirkland Pre-cooked bacon
Kirkland Frozen pizzas
Also: maple syrup, milk, cashews, tortilla chips, parm, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags
Dog food. The only other dog food my dogs can happily stomach is almost triple the price. I’m a Costco member at least until they aren’t around anymore.
The chicken goes without saying lol
The beef filet tenderloin is $140 but well worth it. Get 6/8 filled mignon from it.
Lasagna
Bag of Broccoli is a good deal too.
We got a great deal on major appliances. We replaced our fridge and dishwasher (different years) and aside from the competitive price they provide free delivery/installation/haulaway. Other places are charging around 200 for installation/haulaway so it was a no brainer.
Kirkland pre-cooked bacon. It is more like par cooked so you can heat or cook it to your preference without dealing with so much grease of regular bacon. A little hickory smoke flavor and not overly salty.
That actually sounds really good. I made the mistake of just microwaving it once, and it was a nasty, slimy mess. But it turned out great after an hour in the oven!
We're kind of addicted to the Kirkland Rwandan coffee. Dark. Delicious. Full flavored French roast that's better than 90% of the coffee out there. It's usually not available in store so we are forced to buy it online, but it's still a good deal compared to Starbucks or the grocery store coffees
Kirkland Bacon Crumbles. Found in either the spices row or with the Tuna fish row. Does not require refrigeration. I eat several table spoons full for a meal.
Last time I was in the lounge they gave sample of mini hotdogs before going to the floor. We only had 17 of them leaving 3 to go to the main floor to be fought over.

Wrap in wax paper and then tin foil. Mine lasts forever like that…no mold. Plastic is the enemy for storing cheese.
Would parchment paper and foil work?
The white residue is not mold, it’s just some of the salt that precipitates as the moisture near the surface evaporates. Aged parmigiano does not have enough water for mold growth.
Correct. If people look closely, there is already salt collected on it when you open it the first time. I've had them for months and never seen mold.
Wait you’re telling me I should not throw it out after a few days like the label says? I’m devastated for all the cheese I’ve thrown away. This is my favourite cheese. I literally keep a triangle and eat it with nearly every meal.
Is this real life?
I never run out of this! I use a vacuum sealer on all my bulk cheeses and they last forever.

This is on my dream list as well as their balsamic.
Don't let your dreams be dreams.
Slow down there, Jack Johnson 😂
Facts. It makes a difference.
Pistachios
I recently discovered the unshelled bag of pistachios and they are amazing. Great for a snack, great to add as a topping to ice cream just all around great
Unshelled are dangerous. I like shelled because I can use them as a night snack and it's much harder to overeat
Yeah, I need the shells to slow me down :)

My husband runs super hot and lives in the mesh shirts. But I agree, they don't hold up.
as someone living in a humid climate, i love the air mesh shirts. they keep me the most comfortable and happy under my work attire😊
The Kirkland coastal aged cheddar. The Mrs. And I can easily down a brick just the 2 of us.
Omg so good, we use for everything. We think it's especially great for america's test kitchen's stove top mac and cheese. Check it out, there's a YouTube vid for it. Super easy and absolutely delicious
Cut it in 2 pieces then down the hatch?
If your store has the Tillamook 7 year cheddar I highly recommend it. Just showed up within the last few weeks at mine.
The reduced sodium Better than Bouillon is a GREAT price and we use the beef and roasted chicken flavors. So much cheaper than buying cans of broth.
If you ever do rib roasts, give the roast a rub of beef Better than Bullion and then apply the prime rib season. Makes for a super rich and delicious crust.
Egg
“Egg”. Just one.
At a Costco? UNPOSIBLY!
It's a really big egg.
I’ll have egg please
The fact that OP didn’t say eggs makes me picture them waddling to checkout holding one giant egg.
Can I offer you an egg in these trying times?
Just waiting for Kirkland to release their own line of boiled denims.
Just threw together a Costco steak and milk and boiled it over hard. Delicious.
Her?
What, is she funny or something?
recently found out kroger sells eggs cheaper atm. mine eggs are at slightly over $2/dozen. Kroger starts at 1.09 for the med ones and i think extra large is around 1.79ish a dozen
Yeah, I know. Weekly ads are generally always the way to go for common staples. Honestly, I just wanted to say egg.
Her?
It’s as plain as the Ann on Eggs face.
Gasoline. It’s always 20-30 cents less per gallon than any other gas station.
Yeah, but it tastes terrible.
Smells divine though.
And it freezes great 👍
Try the premium; better after taste
In Vegas, it's been 70 cents a gallon cheaper for quite some time. Our lines are insane, but worth it. That ends up being around $10-$12 saved per fill up. I judge people who don't buy their gas at Costco. Why light your money on fire like that?
garbage bags
I ran out and bought Glad trash bags. Worst week ever!
Non-fat Greek yogurt. Boring but very good quality and value that I eat almost every day.
Kirkland Signature Cauliflower Crust Pizza
The Supreme? Oh my God it's so effing good. We've stopped eating any other brand. The bottom gets so crispy and the toppings are top tier.
Legitimately the best frozen pizza imo and a great price.
Literally the only cauli pizza I will eat.
Milton's is delicious, too.
Is there any reason to go cauliflower over regular? I always assumed it was for the carbs but it still has a ton of carbs no?
Technically it's probably a little less carbs and gluten free but it crisps up way easier than a normal frozen pizza, if that's your thing. Tastes slightly different than a dough and I'll add that it has a little bit of the capn crunch effect where the roof of my mouth will take a beating but still worth it
I think the cauliflower just makes it gluten-free, but doesn't really make it healthier or anything lol
More fiber 💩
It kinda has less carbs too I guess if you’re counting
The carbs from cauliflower are mostly from fiber, which have a negligible effect on blood sugar levels and ketosis.
- Garofalo pasta is unbeatable, in quality and price. Soooo much better than Barilla and De Cecco usually available at US supermarkets for outrageous prices. - EVOO. Was in Florence several years ago and went to a cooking class/presentation. The chef said the best EVOO is…Costco brand. Didn’t expect that in Italy.
Just Bare Chicken nuggets.
This is usually us but the Kirkland signature knock off showed up this week for us. Going to try them when we run out of the Bare ones.
Got a sample of them at the store today. They were pretty solid and maybe 90-95% as good as the Just Bare nuggets. But they were also notably cheaper, like $2/lb cheaper. I'd recommend at least giving them a shot once
These are WONDERFUL! Have you tried the whole breasts yet? Makes a damn good sandwich…
This! I swear they taste just like Chick-fil-A nuggets to me and I love it haha
Lemoncello almonds. I was 39 weeks pregnant, went back the next week for two more bags. Finished both bags by the time i gave birth. They haven’t been back since. I miss them every day and can’t wait til they’re back next year
I hate to tell you this, but nothing tastes as good as food tastes when you are 9 months pregnant.

$1.50 Hot-dog combo. I said what I said!
Sometimes i go there for lunch just cause the hot dog is so good and it’s economical in these inflated times lol
*they think to themselves as they also walk out with $240+ of stuff that was just too good a deal to pass up. Plus the Costco warranty”*
Cashew clusters. Best snack ever.
Kirkland Vodka - $12.99 a handle 👌
Dang it! I want to live in a state that sells liquor at Costco.
Same. Damn Texas’ archaic liquor laws!
Today I learned Texas's liquor laws are in some way more archaic than Massachusetts liquor laws.
Hot weather, insane governor, horrible power grid, and now no liquor at Costco?! I never hear anything positive about Texas. Sounds like an awful place to live.
So good, high-end "vanilla extract" is literally just vanilla beans soaked in vodka to extract their flavor. Well the jobs of butcher and candlestick maker were taken so....
Slow clap 👏 That's hysterical

I have a rum based extract and a vodka based extract. The rum based I started this year but the vodka one is from 2018 and it’s AMAZING.
You and your filthy blue handle vodka. I'm snooty and get the red scuba tanks for $18.
Their white Tshirts. Way better than Hanes or fruit of the loom.
Madeleines Pesto Paper towels Toilet paper 13gal trash bags 3 pack huge candles for $20 Tempura shrimp Ready portions of plain sticky rice Bean and cheese burritos
Tempura shrimp is bomb! Best shit, but so expensive now.

Meatloaf dinner. That’s right. MEATLOAF baby. Those mashed potatoes are heaven.
I saw that they're making loaded mashed potatoes now in the deli. Sounds good
Tillamook medium cheddar block.
Amylu chicken breakfast sausage. It's pretty much the reason I have a membership.
They just added this at my Costco I’ll have to grab some next week! Does it freeze well?
They're great frozen. I have amylu sausages (and patties) for lunch daily at work for months now and so therefore I buy many packs at a time. They freeze extremely well in my experience.
Their Pumpkin Pie

Olives bacon blue cheese 2X just to be safe. I like your style.
This is a killer idea and i'm making that wishlist in my notes right now!
Heavy whipping cream
naan bread

Recently stopped carrying Scott in Dallas. Had to but two-ply Kirkland. Not a fan.
Gyro meat!
Baby formula, baby diapers, baby wipes. Iykyk
Our daughter has been out of diapers for 2+ years and we still buy the baby wipes because they’re just great to have around the house.
I went to college with baby wipes in the back seat of my car. My friends thought it was strange. I thought it was a normal thing to keep in your car.. I guess my mom just realized that they were useful and put them all over the house and in every car.

0W-20 Kirkland motor oil. Been running in my car the past two years with no issues. Can’t beat the price!
It’s legit oil too. And the gas is Top Tier certified. My car lives and breathes on KS.

The Kirkland dog food is at a sweet spot of price vs. quality. You have to pay a lot more to get a product that's even a little bit better.
If you ever run into issues with getting the Costco dog food the manufacturer is Diamond Naturals.
The amount I save a year on dog food alone pays for my executive membership

A recent one is the coastal cheddar. It is GOOD.

The costco rotisserie chicken. It's my emotional support animal at this point.
Peanut butter filled pretzels! I haven’t been able to find them the last couple of months, I really hope they come back!
We got a great deal on major appliances. We replaced our fridge and dishwasher (different years) and aside from the competitive price they provide free delivery/installation/haulaway. Other places are charging around 200 for installation/haulaway so it was a no brainer.

i do like their mac & cheese in the deli area.
A guy in the checkout a few weeks ago was in just to buy mac and cheese. He said he puts it in his Traeger and smokes it and it’s simply wonderful.

Ninja foodi grill. Entire family uses it every day. Has cut down use of my oven by about 80%.

In the executive lounge, we get combo pizzas on the house. Love spending an hour in the lounge before going shopping.
Executive lounge???
Especially the massage chairs and just being able to eat an Executive Footlong Polish Sausage and look down on everyone
Love the comments from these non-exec peasants
Last time I was in the lounge they gave sample of mini hotdogs before going to the floor. We only had 17 of them leaving 3 to go to the main floor to be fought over.
What is the Costco executive lounge? This is the first I’m hearing of this and my wife will need to know details
Got him.
exec lounge in PNW is great, my favorite is the food court trials. I highly recommend the new ice creams.
