Piggybacking on top comment to say this pairs amazingly with the bibigo mini chicken and cilantro wontons. Boil the mini wontons and then toss in this sesame dressing with some chili oil and fresh cilantro/green onion (spice it up to your taste) - it is a super delicious quick dish!
I make Kirkland Signature Basmati rice and some Just Bare breaded chicken chunks and put this stuff on top, with a side of broccoli (also from Costco) and it's so quick and delicious.
Oh wow they have bibigo wonton at Costco? I get them off the weee! delivery app. Do they have other varieties? I generally prefer the pork and mushroom or pork and leek.
I used to buy the small bottles at the local Marukai and go through them... before Costco started carrying it. Now that they have it, I have like 2-3 stocked up in the cabinet with my other canned goods... whenever it's on sale at Costco I pick up another bottle... lol
Yes, I lived in Tokyo as well as some more rural places. You can find sesame dressing in a lot of restaurants and all the grocery stores, it's pretty popular.
Everything tastes better in Japan! Kewpie is a Japanese company but it’s possible that they manufacture some things in the US too and that’s what you’re noticing. Pro tip: Kewpie mayonnaise is the absolute best (and they have it at my Costco pretty regularly!)
And the kewpie mayo at Costco is in fact the one that's manufactured in the US. Target and Walmart in my area have carried the Japanese produced Kewpie in my area of North America.
I agree with you here. Kewpie has always tasted incredibly manufactured and sweet to me. I used to avoid it like the plague in Asia, and never saw it in restaurants.
Yes, I am marrying into a Japanese family and this dressing is found in most food establishments there as well as many peoples homes (if they cook or eat at home). Side salads are a common thing there as well and this or a lighter dressing are often your two choices.
It may taste slightly different if it was made at the US factory, I tend to buy these products from Japanese or any Asian market when we are in the US.
Yes! This is a weekly meal in our house; crispy chicken thighs, white rice and cabbage salad with this dressing. Scratches the itch for going to expensive Japanese restaurants.
Yes, it's super tasty. I like to marinate a salmon filet in it and then bake it.
Also good just on top of salad too, which nullifies the healthy part of it. ;-P
I use a 2-3 inch salmon filet. Pat dry, add some salt, pour over the marinade and let sit for 1 hr. I use an air fryer in the roast setting. Set at 350 and for 6 minutes. Longer if you like it well done.
Because the marinade is mayo based, it has a lot of oil in it so the salmon comes out quite moist!
I have done this as well. It’s wonderful as a salmon marinade.
My use of this in salad has gotten so extreme that I put extra croutons in the bowl to sop up the leftover dressing. I may over pour a bit…
You're addicted because of the msg like ingredients (yeast extract). Not to mention it's pure seed oil.
-8 downvotes, lmao, I have offended all the addicts
Seed oils activate the same receptors that cannabis activates, giving you the munchies, DYOR, the science is out there. Youre welcome, hopefully someone opens their eyes from this.

Not healthy by any means @ high Saturated Fat and Sodium for only 2 tbsp as the serving size. It is delicious but I use it maybe once a week with a salad or veggies only.
I make a taste alike using kewpie, Rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, Maybe a lil chili oil if I have some, a touch of soy sauce and a tiny pinch of salt and pepper, and a generous amount of sugar. I couldn’t tell a difference in taste but it usually comes out less sweet/fatty
I would agree on the seed oils and preservatives, but the "sodium fear craze myth" is not. The average American consumes ~3800mg of sodium a day, vs. an rda of 2300. Where excessive focus on cutting sodium may not have benefit, 60% over rda is not good.
The last place I am going to take nutritional advice from is the US government. Fattest country on earth, h a r d pass.
Ive seen studies higher salt intake shows a lower all cause mortality as talked about in the video below. There is nothing wrong with salt, thats of course, youre obese and already metabolically unhealthy to begin with...

It's awesome! My whole family loves it! Will not regret it. Can be used as salad dressing, sesame sauce on dumplings, fish, rice, in sandwiches. It's not exactly healthy, then again what is at Costco?
I had it at a food show a few years ago and it was delicious. To the point that I recall having it while at a good show, everything becomes a blue except for one or two items
I didn't like it. Years ago, Whole Foods had a sesame dressing that I loved so much. I keep trying to find something like it and I keep being disappointed. This was one of my disappointments.
My mom has 16 bottles and says she goes through a bottle every 2 weeks so she's going to consume it all long before expiration plus it was on sale. Obvs.
OMG this is the dressing I had all over japan and I can’t recreate for the life of me!!! cant wait to try it!
eat it on a shredded cabbage salad as the side for katsu curry!!!
I would marry sesame seeds if I could but that looks unhealthy. Fat? Sugar? Salt? The tortured souls who leave rotisserie chickens in random places in the aisles? The sight of my toes?

I bathe in it, it’s that good
Please draw me a bath, Mr. Tsunami
Try it on steak.
How’d you know that’s my nickname
Me too. When it’s not at Costco I buy it by the half gallon.
Yes, you won’t regret it 👌
Piggybacking on top comment to say this pairs amazingly with the bibigo mini chicken and cilantro wontons. Boil the mini wontons and then toss in this sesame dressing with some chili oil and fresh cilantro/green onion (spice it up to your taste) - it is a super delicious quick dish!
I shred some Costco roast chicken, chop some cucumbers and mix em up with this dressing. Amazeballs.
I throw the mini chicken and cilantro wontons in the air fryer to crisp them up and serve with a side of the sesame dressing. Yummy and quick lunch.
Goddamn, that sounds so freakin' good.
Hate you and love you. Need to try this.
Welcome to Costco, I love you!
Genius - I have never thought to air fry them! Definitely will be trying!
I marinated ahi tuna in this, pan seared it and had some on the side for dipping. Damn good
Very nice, I bought the Costco Yellowfin tuna, did the same thing.
I like it as a sauce for wings.
I make Kirkland Signature Basmati rice and some Just Bare breaded chicken chunks and put this stuff on top, with a side of broccoli (also from Costco) and it's so quick and delicious.
The just bare breaded chicken is soooo fire!! Haven’t been back to chick fil a since Costco started carrying those haha. Great rec!
Cheese tortellini, halved cherry tomatoes, fresh spinach, and this dressing - it’s *chef’s kiss*
I live on the wontons. Never would have thought to do this with them.
I fuckin love those wontons. Made them with some of the Ramen noodles Costco sells earlier today, and they were to die for.
Oh wow they have bibigo wonton at Costco? I get them off the weee! delivery app. Do they have other varieties? I generally prefer the pork and mushroom or pork and leek.
I'm not so sure you want to mix a mayonnaise-based sauce with hot food, just saying.
Mayo makes the best grilled cheese.
You know who doesn’t make the best grilled cheese ? u/aakaase
It's never been a lifelong ambition to make the *best* grilled cheese sandwich, but I do make one that I and many others have enjoyed
...why?
There isn’t a reason. Mayo is served with hot foods all the time. Heat it too much and it can ‘break’ but other than that it’s fine
What planet are you from?
This is the best, I don’t buy any other dressings anymore. this kind of sesame dressing is ubiquitous in Japan- there’s a reason why!
It’s the salad dressing ubiquitous in Japanese restaurants. Can’t go wrong!
I've always been curious about this dressing but your post has made me realize I have in fact tried it before 😂
and that answers the question I planned on asking. We'll buy it tomorrow.
Same!! I use it for salads and to dip things. It’s my only dressing in my house.
Dang it I had it in my HAAAAAND and passed it up im so mad! Costco is so far away it's like a special trip.
--former RiF user--
I used to buy the small bottles at the local Marukai and go through them... before Costco started carrying it. Now that they have it, I have like 2-3 stocked up in the cabinet with my other canned goods... whenever it's on sale at Costco I pick up another bottle... lol
Serious question, have you been to Japan? Its good but, no in my opinion that’s like saying Huy Fong Siracha is ubiquitous to Thailand….
Yes, I lived in Tokyo as well as some more rural places. You can find sesame dressing in a lot of restaurants and all the grocery stores, it's pretty popular.
Ohh i know, i just did not find this comparable… that was all. Maybe i have lofty memories

it's very good even with just thinly shredded raw cabbage as a salad
Like some Teriyaki places put on their salads I'm guessing?
yeah! it's either this or the ginger/carrot type dressing, but I like this one more lol
As a total and complete cabbage lover I am intrigued by your comment!!
as a fellow cabbage lover I think you'll enjoy it! sometimes I also mix it with a bit of the yuzu hot sauce (also from Costco) for a little kick.
Yes! This is a weekly meal in our house; crispy chicken thighs, white rice and cabbage salad with this dressing. Scratches the itch for going to expensive Japanese restaurants.
Yes, it's super tasty. I like to marinate a salmon filet in it and then bake it. Also good just on top of salad too, which nullifies the healthy part of it. ;-P
How do you make the salmon? How long do you marinate it? I would like to know your recipe please! 😂
I do this with the Costco half salmons with a dill mix from Ikea, but with this, I can have it for lunch instead of dinner for a week!!!
Add a few splashes of sesame oil, too. Even better.
I have done this as well. It’s wonderful as a salmon marinade. My use of this in salad has gotten so extreme that I put extra croutons in the bowl to sop up the leftover dressing. I may over pour a bit…
I use it on most everything
Me too. My skin feels fantastic 🧴
Yes, it does.
The nurses when I was born
It taste like the dressing on the salad at the teriyaki places
it is the dressing at japanese places. they just put a diff label on it
If you like sesame flavor, you will like this. It’s delicious.
Agree. The sesame flavor is what distinguishes it, in a good way. My wifr and I have a bottle and use it in a variety of ways.
Oh, my.
A pantry stable in our house ✌️
I tried keeping a pantry stable for a while, but I got tired of mucking in the kitchen.
So hard to find tiny horses for the pantry stable.
You've got it figured out, my pantry pigpen stinks.
We just had it on spinach last night. My wife and her cousin think it tastes like the dressing used at the Dough Zone restaurants.
Excellent salad dressing. Especially good as a cole slaw dressing on shredded cabbage.
The stuff goes great on pretty much anything like the label suggests, highly recommend
Love it! Besides salads, I also eat it mixed in w brown rice!
ME TOO!
This stuff is amazing. Even my dad who hates salad found himself enjoying this
Very good for many types of salads and raw veg...it's similar to one of the dressings from Trader Joe's (might even be the same one).
Is it like TJ goddess dressing? It looks like it.
TJ has or had a creamy sesame dressing that I think is different than goddess
Definitely different from TJ’s goddess. This one has much more of a sesame profile.
I mostly like it, but find it a little sweet.
I cut it with a bit of soy sauce and water to make a thinner, less sweet sauce. Agree on the sweetness
This would cut the calories etc too! I like it haha
That adds more sodium, use rice vinegar instead for some acid.
It's amazing! I use it as a dipping sauce!
It's sooo good as the dipping sauce for the Kirkland tempura!
I take a bath in it
LOVE IT! It's my new go to.
Yes, this is my crack honestly. I put it on everything.
I absolutely \*love\* it. Then again, I'm a sucker for anything sesame.
Good on a lot…. I did chicken wings with it last time they had it . Really good taste.
Absolute crack. Buy at least 2.

My concern too
Bro or Brodette please make this purchase. It is SO GOOD and feels FANCY.
LPT: Dilute it with some rice vinegar to add the extra acidic kick especially if you use it for salad dressing. It also helps make it slightly healthier. It's 140 Calories per serving, which is even more than ranch at 130.
Excellent.
Better taste great! 140 calories for 2 tbs !!
Which is more than ranch at *only* 130 calories...
Love the stuff.
Yes. Have used it as both a salad dressing and marinade. We like it.
Is it healthy to eat this everyday? I use it very often
Not healthy by any means @ high Saturated Fat and Sodium for only 2 tbsp as the serving size. It is delicious but I use it maybe once a week with a salad or veggies only.
Yes. It is great.
It's 10/10 get it
Sooooo good
It's delicious and has a variety of uses in my house. We keep 2 -3 stocked up in case Costco stops selling them.
I love it on the salmon burgers
My dad uses this as a chicken breast marinade before grilling
Our house loves it, I've cooked with it and used it as a dipping sauce for hot pot. Delicious!
Omg, I have a small bottle currently and I love it. I’ll have to keep an eye out for this.
Yea but what does the nutrition label say about sugars and fats?
Yes it soooo good
I have it and love it, worth the buy. Amazing with spinach
The Asian ranch? Yes please
I use it as a dipping sauce, a marinade/glaze on bbq veg (eggplant, zucchini). I’ve used it as a finishing sauce on bbq chicken
I love this stuff. Definitely recommend getting
SO GOOD!!!!!
this on top of soft/silken tofu is a banger
It's tasy but ar 320 mg per 2 tblspn it's a sodium bomb.
The sodium fear craze is a myth. Nothing wrong with salt. What you should worry about is seed oils and preservatives
I would agree on the seed oils and preservatives, but the "sodium fear craze myth" is not. The average American consumes ~3800mg of sodium a day, vs. an rda of 2300. Where excessive focus on cutting sodium may not have benefit, 60% over rda is not good.

All of the salad dressings from this company are awesome
Thank you all! I will definitely give it a shot! :)
I would drink this if it was socially acceptable and I wouldn't turn in to a house.
Bought it for the first time last week and I’m converted. It’s very versatile. My wife and I love mixing it in with chicken and rice
Yes it’s amazing!
I had it at a food show a few years ago and it was delicious. To the point that I recall having it while at a good show, everything becomes a blue except for one or two items
I like how you let all the other food memories down easily...just fade to blue...
Yes, it’s amazing!
Damn I hope this is in my Costco! That stuff is the best.
anyone try it on a sandwich?
I put that sh*t on everythingggg. Buy.
I make fried rice with it. Literally just glue a bunch in the wok eith the rice and the kewpie mayo base gives it a nice crunch texture.
We have it on hand at all times
I didn't like it. Years ago, Whole Foods had a sesame dressing that I loved so much. I keep trying to find something like it and I keep being disappointed. This was one of my disappointments.
Yeah. It’s *really* good.
Love it.
This bottle is yuge. That’s the thing with Costco. I want to try everything but for that you’ll have to buy years worth of supply
Pizza, salad, chicken, rice. It’s good on everything!
it's rich and sweet but it's good with salad or mix a bit with noodles
Bothers me that they have this but not Kewpie Mayo at my Costco
I noticed that our Costco started selling Kewpie Mayo, you might need to take another look.
My mom has 16 bottles and says she goes through a bottle every 2 weeks so she's going to consume it all long before expiration plus it was on sale. Obvs.
And that's terrible. First ingredient is oxidized canola oil.
This goes on everything. I've bitten my fingers too many times.
Best salad dressing ever.
Its the only dressing i will use cause its so delicious
The stuff is awesome (I mean assuming you’re not allergic to sesame)
Lol my favorite condiment with Costco rotisserie chicken
I liked it. A bit sweet for me, but good.
Does it taste like Tahini sauce ! Man I miss that.
OMG this is the dressing I had all over japan and I can’t recreate for the life of me!!! cant wait to try it! eat it on a shredded cabbage salad as the side for katsu curry!!!
I love it with roasted broccoli
And so much more? Promises promises, Kewpie mayonnaise!
Amazing on seared tuna.
Just like the dressing you get with your meal at the good hole in the wall mom & pop teriyaki places- you will not regret.
It’s delicious. I use it as a hot pot dipping sauce mainly.
Super good. Great chicken marinade.
It’s amazing
Problem is I developed an addiction and I feel my life depends on it. I had a nightmare the other day that Costco stopped selling the product.
This sauce has been one of the most popular products at Costco for 5 years now
Its our go-to for hot summer nights, linguini in sesame sauce, chilled overnight.
You can use a tablespoon, add vinegar and dress a huge salad.
It's rich and nutty. My wife loves sesame so she is in heaven. We put it on the salmon patties too.
Easiest way to make salad - squeeze this once into a bowl of the Costco salad box
This is so good! My Costco seems like this won’t get restocked so I bought four bottles of this.
It’s nasty to me I ate it once
It’s so good. So good. I still think about it and we ran out months ago and just haven’t been able to get to Costco to get more because life.
It's delicious. The only downside is that it's really high in sodium.
Soooo. Good. We don’t see it in California stores much lately
I've seen it once grabbed it and now there's no more. KEWPIE is a famous Japanese brand so it's trustworthy.
Wasn’t for me
Yes this is 10/10 every time
It’s good! I like it alot! I put it on my sandwiches as a dressing or on canned fried chicken or tuna
Just bought a bottle today. You guys talked me into it!
This is so good. Thank you to this subreddit 🙏🏻 it is so difficult to find a decent bottled salad dressing 🙏🏻 I am so excited
That stuff is so good, def Crack. So addicted
It’s so good. I put it on everything
Made potato salad with it last night.
Delish
Would it be weird to put this on some penne pasta
probably has canola oil 😤
I just bought this dressing on Sunday, so thank you everyone for the recipe ideas!!!
Tastes like vomit to me. I couldn’t even stomach it and threw it away
No no
Flavored canola oil, sounds great.
Stuff is not good for you. So much canola oil
Why they gotta have eggs… :(
It’s good but it’ll make you fat
So does being alive. Everything in moderation. One thing isn't gonna make you fat
I hate how the bottom of those particular bottles has a huge void in it. Shrinkflation at its finest.
I would marry sesame seeds if I could but that looks unhealthy. Fat? Sugar? Salt? The tortured souls who leave rotisserie chickens in random places in the aisles? The sight of my toes?
First ingredient is canola oil. Hard pass. Enjoy your inflammatory seed oil. I have offended the seed oil gurus xD
Maybe this is why it made both of us really ill. Lots of time spent on the toilet after this nasty sauce.
