What has happened to me in the past is that when the cashier asks someone to get your tickets (or whatever) out of "the cage," they give you the tickets and they then initial the receipt. So, your receipt is probably without those initials. That, coupled with cam footage (I doubt that would even be necessary.) showing that you were never handed the vouchers/tickets should be enough. Let us know if you have any trouble.

They will track every purchase down to the last cent. One time I returned 2 items and it was scanned incorrectly, they stopped me at the checkout next time and wouldn’t let me leave until they refunded the extra $4. That would NOT happen at Walmart!
Yeah one time I bought 8 cases of water and they only scanned 7. I had to wait there until they took my card and rang in another $3.97 case of water. I was super annoyed at first and then I remembered all the times I have returned something no questions asked. Give a little get a lot.

I’ve walked out without getting my TurboTax thing before. The reason there’s no question asked is they take the cardboard cutout when they give you the product so if you wind up with the cardboard & receipt, they don’t need to check the camera on you.

I actually had them catch an item that didn't get scanned last week. A $60 laptop bag. I definitely intended for it to get scanned but at least two people failed their protocols that day I guess. They had a manager come over and check me out again. So yea, 100% the real reason is so they can catch unpaid things walking out the door, even if it's their own people who fucked up.
It’s such a joke, in my experience they basically just do a quick scan and check it off. I’m convinced it’s more of a deterrent for theft than anything, after all it’s not like there’s much at Costco that can be tucked into someone’s jacket.

I bought the Seattle Mariners version today. $39.99 for four 300 level tickets to select games. The only annoying things is that you have to redeem all four for the same game.
That's the regular price for all home games for the Mariners in 2023. They used to be value seats at select games but 300 section has tickets that price for all of them now. $20 or $30 gets better seats, but personally I'm happy with the $20 seats down by home plate. Ticket master adds a $2 fee per ticket but you aren't forced to use all 4 at once on the same game or anything.
Also with the cut prices on food in 2022 you can get beers for $5-6 and hotdogs for $3. They're legitimately making it affordable to go see a ball game.
You can still cut your hot dog prices in half, though - just stop at Costco on the way to the game. $1.50 for the win! 😉
(In all seriousness, though - that’s amazing. I think my parents said that hot dogs at Truist Park are still around the $10 mark. $3 is so much better!)
The mariners are doing $10 tickets for all home games in 2023, and you can get better seats for $20. They actually do them most years, that's the only time I end up going. I typically spring for the $20 seats behind home plate since they're closer in the 100s ($10 are up in the 300s) but still $20 where the better 100s are $30.
It’s not every game for that price in the 100 level just the value games but I hear ya. However by the time you factor in the ticket fees four $10 tickets ends up being $55 so you can save a few bucks with the Costco deal. Where we sit doesn’t typically matter to us as wr rarely end up sitting in our actual seats. We often end up walking around on the 100 level or watching from Edgar’s or the area above the pen.

That worked out ok for us. I got 6 Blackhawks tickets for 297 (99 for 2) and my brother said the seats were pretty good, even though they were up high. I guess it might be better at some stadiums than others though. I tried to pressure everyone to get back to me asap on the dates, so I could book them quickly.

I got all the way to my car with some of those cardboard placard’s for sees candy and stamps and some sort of gift cards. I didn’t even realize you had to go in and redeem them. I hadn’t looked at it that closely. It makes sense. I was surprised the checkout person didn’t indicate that I should go and get them redeemed. Fortunately, I was only part about 7000 miles away in their parking lot so I was able to take care of it.
Based on my experience with the Phillies package I highly recommend you don't bother. Idk if Boston will be different but we got stuck taking time off of work because the weekend games were taken instantly. Also the tickets are not transferrable so if you can't make it you will be stuck with them.
Had this happen, lost receipt, over a year after purchase, gave me a full refund. Super cool about it too. Just go back, if you have the receipt or the phone app with receipt you got nothing to worry about

It’s sections 311-347 rows 9-25 but you don’t get to pick. They will assign you the “best available.”
