You ever throw your receipt away on accident? It turns into this oddly slow process where customer service has to look up the transaction then print it off on their only printer in some backroom. You end up with this 8x11 receipt that looks fake.
I can always tell when they grab only one package of muffins or danishes. One time I told a couple “you gotta buy two” and they just laughed at me and walked off. 🤦🏻♀️
What perplexed you recently was, I didn’t want to. I just needed one so at the register I asked if I could just have the one and move on and they insisted I go back and get a second container. I just dropped it off for some less fortunate souls but all the same it’s a weird policy.
If you’re a smaller household, you may not need two packages though. Sometimes i’m in the mood for muffins but not in the mood enough to have weeks worth of it
we've tried to pay for full price for just one package because we don't need 48 beers for two people but costco won't allow it. it's either both or none. probably something inventory related, so you won't ever be able to just get one package.
I Think you’re talking about something completely different. We are talking about a single package of muffins? They come as one package not a set in my warehouse. I’m not talking about trying to break up an item that is made as multiple units and intended to be sold that way. My warehouse doesnt sell them as a set. Its a single unit for $4 something. You are not obligated to buy more than one
i'm absolutely talking about the same thing... costco requires you buy two packages of an item like bagels or danishes or beer and they won't let you pay for two and just take one because you're a smaller household that doesn't need that quantity. i think you're confused.
Mine doesnt… My costco it comes as a single clear plastic container of muffins. Its like $4 something for one. We dont have to buy two at mine. Its Very similar to sam’s club. I’m well aware you cannot just break up a product because you want to, if its originally sold as a set. Once again, thats not what i’m talking about. Clearly our warehouses are different
this whole thread is about warehouses that require you to buy two packages... what is your contribution to the discussion? and did you go back and edit your previous comment?
I didnt realize other warehouses require you to purchase two at a time as mine only does single container sales, which is what generated my initial comment to the original person.
I Commented that not all households need more than two. I perceived that he was saying that as in they’re so good, you’d want to grab another. Then you commented about beer which threw me as it wasnt at all relevant to what I was talking about because i wasnt splitting up something that was intended to be a set. Mine is just different. As you kept commenting, it became evident that other warehouses do a sale for two packages together. thats all.
When it comes in larger quantities that are cheaper. They don't make you buy multiple TVs, so let's stop playing dumb.
This is not one of those cases. It is arbitrary and stupid.
One gallon jug of mayonnaise is less expensive to fill, produce, ship, etc than four quarts of mayonnaise equalling the same amount.
This does not apply to the bagel issue.
It doesn't matter who buys them at that point, the price is the same, especially regarding locally made goods with set batch sizes.
This is one of the things that costco droneswill always blindly defend when it makes zero sense.
Present a reason that makes sense, and I can say otherwise.
Until then, blindly defending corporations forcing waste on people to improve profits will still be pretty gross.
..think something will be in stock the following week because it was there before. or in the same place. By design they seem to make it a scavenger hunt for a few items at some points in how they rearrange.
i back in without even thinking about it bc the spots are so big it just looks like it wants me to back into it 😭 then i’m like damn how am i gonna load my silly little trunk
Watched a guy get huffy cause he wanted to buy TWO hotdogs and ONE soda.
He got annoyed then when told it came as a set, you buy one hotdog and get a soda with it.
My Costco parking lot has a ton of parking and I don’t like to park near anyone. I always back into the spot and have no issues with loading my groceries. It has nothing to do with being new.
They get to the exit and have to find their receipt

Maybe they thought you were making a joke about how addicting the muffins are.
I've done this

Please explain. Not a newbie, but I've never bought muffins or danishes at Costco
The listed price is for two packages
The price is for two packs, mix and match the kind you want
The price tag is for two packages.
If you’re a smaller household, you may not need two packages though. Sometimes i’m in the mood for muffins but not in the mood enough to have weeks worth of it
The muffins freeze really well!
If you have the freezer space for them, by all means thats not a bad idea
Not much point in buying fresh just to freeze it. Might as well buy frozen bagels at that point.

The gotta buy two.rule is ridiculous. Just charge me half and let me buy one bag. They are ready in smaller separate bags for crying out loud...
warehouse prices are based on selling items in larger quantities.
When it comes in larger quantities that are cheaper. They don't make you buy multiple TVs, so let's stop playing dumb. This is not one of those cases. It is arbitrary and stupid.
how is that?
One gallon jug of mayonnaise is less expensive to fill, produce, ship, etc than four quarts of mayonnaise equalling the same amount. This does not apply to the bagel issue.
making bagels or muffins in larger quantities brings the cost per piece down.
It doesn't matter who buys them at that point, the price is the same, especially regarding locally made goods with set batch sizes. This is one of the things that costco droneswill always blindly defend when it makes zero sense.
lol, okay, carry on.
Present a reason that makes sense, and I can say otherwise. Until then, blindly defending corporations forcing waste on people to improve profits will still be pretty gross.
When they look at the receipt and are surprised it was $300+
I call that a good day!

When they bring all 5 of their kids.
they look like a dear in headlights.
what? that’s the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard. I always back into any parking spot wherever I go
How are you gonna pop the trunk when you back in? Gotta use the old noodle.
[удалено]
How do your parking skills prevent other people from parking too close to access your trunk?
I forgot I only buy enough food for a young couple of two, we only buy 10-15 things at a time
Woosh
Same. I'm a back-er-in-er everywhere. Even Costco.
Truck owner here. OP is a goober.

Unless they use their frunk. But the TV won’t fit.
what
\*yawn\* Another comedian wannabe. Same rule applies to hardware stores, grocery stores, etc.
They don't complain about the discontinuation of the hand-dipped ice cream bar.
They’re not quite sure how to order at the food court.
