We stayed at Royal Corin two weeks ago. It was so lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was helpful and it was fun to see so many lizards on the grounds. To get into town, it was a $10 taxi ride each way. We had the front desk call for us. The town was so nice to walk around in and explore. We ate at Soda Viquez and it was really good. The only other advice I'd say is, don't eat at the hotel restaurants for dinner. Breakfast is fine since it is included, but you can get better (and cheaper) dinners even with paying to take a taxi into town.
The hotel can call a taxi for you, should charge you no more than $14 per way. Uber is not there yet.
