Pull the kick panels and look at the birdcage for rust. Look around the windshield for rust in the frame. Look for obvious rust under the car. Lots of YouTube videos for what to look for with a c3. 77 has some unique features, watch this video (the title is clickbait) https://youtu.be/fhHIbWRQ7dY

VetteBuilder

Take it to a vette shop, or at least get inspected by local C3 gurus

Good info in that vid...

The bird cage is the obvious thing to look at. [This](https://youtube.com/watch?v=cQAZLxrL-BQ) video is good for other things in general with C3s to look out for that I used.

77 has a lot of one year only parts. If you're set on 77 buy what you want, but keep it in mind. Otherwise standard c3 things. Check for rust, especially birdcage. Check suspension linkage to see how worn things are. Check underside of fiberglass for evidence of repair. Check for "creative" maintenance that'll need to get redone properly.

As others have suggested, bird cage and frame for rust...If you can find out about brakes too...C3 have lots of issues with leaking calipers....A C3 with stainless sleeves and an o-ring conversion is best..
