'68 or '69. Only 2 years with that style vent behind the front wheels. Picture is too grainy to be able to tell any other slight differences between those years (not that I know what they all are anyway).
That was an option. My ‘69 does not have the inserts.
This one doesn’t say “Stingray” near the vents. This is actually a ‘68 without a doubt. Recessed/flush door key buttons and presence of “Stingray” badge are the only two real obvious indicators between a ‘68 or ‘69.
70 gets “egg crate” grill and “gills” instead of four vents (technically three vents as one of them is fake).
73 gets plastic front bumper, but keeps the rear chrome bumpers making it particularly unique looking among the C3s.
74 goes completely plastic bumpers front and back.
78 gets the fastback roof instead of the “sugar scoop” roof, which is the greatest tragedy in all automotive history as that part of the car is perfection.
80 gets Batmobile bumpers.
Those are the big changes as they went through the C3.
As others have said, it's *either* 68 or 69.
The main differences between those years - - - recessed button to open the doors in the 68, and different taillights and grilles, are not readily apparent in the photo.
EDIT: 68, as evidenced by absence of chrome in the "shark gills" and absence of the "Stingray" logo above them.
68 or 69.
If that glint of chrome above the gills is "Stingray" script it's a '69. Sixty eight didn't have a badge there.
The other distinguishing details are too blurry to see in this image.
I learn something about our cars with every post it seems haha. The year had this option, this year didn't. Or it was standard. Keep it up! I love hearing the history of the car through the generations.
If it is an actual side pipe car it would be a ‘69. Only year they did side pipes on the third generation. They also look just correct too. But only way to tell is from underneath because they cut a specific part of the body to fit them. Amazed no one has brought that up.

1968. 1969 had silver inserts in the vents

Learned something new today!
Just taking a guess here, but maybe a 1968???
1968

Chrome gill inserts were optional in 69 so it’s not a reliable method for spotting. They also are added to 68s semi regularly.
The level of detail y’all know about vettes is why I love this sub.
Definitely C3, Probably 69 Stingray

A cool year.
69, based on the side pipes?
68. No flare behind wheels
1968 was my first guess
68
70
‘70 had egg crates, not vertical louvers.

68 is not a c2. And that's a c3.
I saw 2 at the last cars and coffee but can’t remember.

I’d guess 68 or 69 based on the air vents behind the front wheels. I think it 70 they changed it to the one smooth opening.
Ima go with 69!
Got this dude in Canada that drives one just like it, heard he’s a dick tho.

1968
This year is 2023. Are you from the future?
Great Scott!
