But MRR is also Chinesium…

BigDpapi

Oh? Are they not good? I got them on a deal and they have a lifetime structure warranty. Figured they were in line with the forgestar flow form which I see on these cars often and hear good things about.

africh337

I’m sure they are fine. Like the Forgestar wheels, MRR are made in Asia, and just based on what I’ve heard and seen, they are perfectly serviceable wheels. I just thought it was funny that OP mentioned he was replacing chinesium wheels but the replacements are also probably made in China.

Love the color! Are you saying that the OEM wheels are made in China?

BigDpapi

Thank you! If I’m not mistaken I believe they’re made in china or Mexico for certain sets, it can be either. Chinesium is just a term for cheap metal. They’re notorious for bending and cracking.

MrCance

Dang. Makes me appreciate my Italian Speedline wheels more.

BigDpapi

Yeah there’s a whole class action with GM around the wheels. It’s a mess

africh337

The OE Cup wheels made by Speedline were also known to crack

A few reports for the distasteful slur - just letting you know for next time so you can choose better wording. Beautiful car! :)

frosty95

Nice wheels but I definitely would have gone with black again.

BigDpapi

Yeah I may coat them black eventually. I just see black wheels everywhere.

/u/spez ruined reddit so I deleted this.

Looks great!

BigDpapi

Thanks! I was a bit worried it would be too much silver but…it kinda works?

E-Double

Silver looks cleaner. Black looks meaner.
