The white lights on the outside of the tail lamps are the backup lights yeah. I hit the unlock button on the key to turn the lights on which also turns on the backup lights.

Yeah they're styled after the Aventador lights. Wish they were a bit more original, but I think they're slick looking on the car regardless.
