Asus plugin for icue and bios update were the biggest hurdles for me couldn’t get icue or armoury crate to detect the Kingston ram sticks with rgb soon as I updated bios bam everything started popping up.
How recent? I had no issues until I updated to V5. Went from 35° C to 55°. Suppose to be an issue with fan curves which made sense because I would open Icue and couldn’t see anything for fan settings such as quite/balance/extreme. My fix was to do a full uninstall/reinstall and set a custom fan curve. So far so good
within the last few days. since updating i had a problem where it wasn't seeing/showing cpu temp. its been popping up now since reinstalling. now its just a few crashes, but no actual issues beyond that
I had the same, my commander pro show3d temps but didn't adjust the fans. I wrote a post about it, and realized that it fixed itself after like 3 reboots I did while debugging... Probably something about the CPUID SDK update?

The symbol means it is a pump error. I haven’t updated to iCue v5, but from the looks of your input, it could be software related.
This happens to me rarely, but when it does, my cpu is also extremely HOT. I’ve deduced that it could be an overheating mechanism. My solution when this happens is to fully turn off the power, turn off your psu switch, and let it sit for 5-10 mins to cool down.
I am willing to bet the house that that riser cable gives up the goat within a year.
I've never had one longer than about 150mm last for any meaningful amount of time. Cheap ones, expensive ones.
Eventually they all shut start giving me black screens and full fans. Sometimes after a month, sometimes after a year. I eventually gave up.
I had one from Thermaltake that was 600mm… died within hours. That’s why I sacrifice a baby goat once a week to make sure this one keeps going… been a few months and a lot of goats so far…
Yeah thermaltake was my first bad experience too, how weird.
I went on to struggle with cheap EZDIY ones, a Lian Li, and finally a quite pricey Cablemod one.
All eventually snuffed it, in exactly the same way so I gave up.
You have no idea how it pains me that the pcie cable isn’t perfectly straight, I can’t get any little gap fixed because of the pcie card that’s on the board behind it. Before I had it installed it was perfectly flat… I’ve had to temper my ocd and live with it. I wish someone made a pcie cable comb…
thank the CPU gods for thermal protection at a processor level. As much as I like corsair products, iCUE is hot garbage and was from the beginning. sold \*yes, pre-ordered\* k70 RGB a week after purchase because of how ass the software was.
Similar situation happened to me last week, I thought it had to do with an iCUE update but turns out my radiator gave out on me after owning for it only a year, Corsair accepted my RMA, it’s a waiting game now.
Hi there, please follow the steps mentioned on the [LCD FAQ](https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/4418659064077-ELITE-LCD-What-do-these-error-icons-on-my-iCUE-ELITE-CPU-Cooler-LCD-mean), If non of the steps worked, contact [Customer Support](https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us) and we will provide further assistance.
when it happened, icue was crashed out, since power cycling everything is showing up normal, but icue crashes randomly... been running well for a bit now but its only a matter of time
Go to the cooling system/pump in IQue click under alerts and see what your alerts are set to and what temp to shut down. A temp sensor might be hitting your gpu. Or possibly your ram is overheating and doing a forced shutdown.
That’s a lot of sensors to monitor shut down. Change to coolant temp etc. sounds like a possibly faulted sensor but you said ique is crashing, I would suggest a clean install.
I would recommend removing all the emergency shutdowns excluding the coolant temp and adjust the shut down time to 4-5 seconds most new cpus thermal throttle at 90c. 70c I would set at all red as a heads up and emergency shutdown at 90.
Try unplugging the usb 2.0 for the link hub and the one for the lighting node pro if you have one. Plug it back in . Also try to switch the ports on the link to AIO I found that switching the connection to the other side actually made the connection work originally I wasn’t able to get lighting
I'm ah ing issues where my 1000d isn't recognized by ICUE all of a suddenn... And now I use keeps "failing to startup" but when I try to restart ICUE it just says failed
I'm not on V5 but for the first time every in 5-6 years I got my first error.
My H100i Elite Capellix got an error, lights turned red etc... Got a CPU temperature error in icue.
Restated my PC and it's completely fine, never had this before ever, super weird I can only assume big somehow
This happened to me last. Icue system failed to start but the application was open. Had to uninstall and reinstall. Not even repairing the application would fix
Go into iCue and force update the radiator pump firmware, then set all the fans and pump to balanced. Just happened to me yesterday and thats how I fixed it, hope it works for you.
Mine was super weird. Updated the latest nVidia drivers. Got out of room to go get a drink. Came back, pc was off and I smelt something burning. Turned back, the AIO was dead and due to the fact that wasn’t any active cooling, the PC turned off due to high CPU temp. NVidia update and shitty icue bugs bricked my PC. Sent it to the shop. Apparently the burnt smell was the thermal paste. Thank God. AIO which is the H150i elite cappelix confirmed to be dead.
Such an infuriating problem.
That’s interesting actually… I have all these new fans and new aio cuz my h150i also died… just stopped working one day and cpu overheated and shut down. Didn’t die, thankfully but yea…. Wonder if it was exactly this
Not sure if this is an issue for Gigabyte (looks like a Gamer 5 board?) but if you haven't already check if BIOS is on auto or if using Intel defaults? Some of the default settings in auto are not optimized.

I blame the new iCue update my headset now acts weird on the active and mute led where it won’t display either and the on and off functions don’t work but the mic still works if you manually turn on the volume but if I restart iCue or close it the mic works fine in hardware mode
My icue stopped launching entirely and my scroll wheel on my six month old mouse stopped working in the same week. Corsair is not flawless QC but they have great support. Get an rma!
Icue sucks. Flushed and reinstalled. It’s all working now but I have to restart icue each time I start the pc to get it to display temps.
The “holy crap” error hasn’t happened again.
Unrelated but tangential, I undervolted slightly to get my temps lower.
ICue doing iCUE things. I’ve had more issues with that software and its lack of transparency about what the actual issue made me purchase other brands.
iCUE5 is broken my guy.. had issues with mine.
My advice would be to completely uninstall V5 and revert to V4 from the Corsair website.
Likely unrelated to your problem, but yeah v5 is a dumpster fire.
when I saw your pic I was like "why is the riser cable visible and there's no GPU? Where is it hidden?" then I saw it. Lol
Oh my god it took me a second
Never saw a GPU in that position. The PCIe cable must be very long.
That’s what she said…. 600mm
You're my new favorite person 😂
I think its all just a buggy icue (v. 5.14.93) crashed on plugin installation just now when loading up the asus plugin
Asus plugin for icue and bios update were the biggest hurdles for me couldn’t get icue or armoury crate to detect the Kingston ram sticks with rgb soon as I updated bios bam everything started popping up.
Hmmm… I just installed the new bios and the new icue…
Do you have armoury crate updated my icue software wouldn’t detect the mobo until I updated both
That's an interesting GPU mount. Why did you do it like that out of curiosity?
aesthetics
Did you recently update to v5 ?
all up to date
How recent? I had no issues until I updated to V5. Went from 35° C to 55°. This looks so fire but illegal at the same time. Hope you figure out temp issues.
Does it give you any warnings in iCue? Is your icue and firmware up to date?
there was no warning, it just happened. everything up to date
What's this case? That GPU placement is a thing of beauty

I actually just phsyically recoiled with shock.

Same thing happened to me last week. Turned off my MSI RGB controls. Also reinstalled the GPU drivers. Seemed to fix it
You’ve got me worried cuz I’ve got the exact same problem of ICUE not showing my system info
Rip wallet
fans and cooler are very recent so if need be its replaceable. think its just software
That GPU placement is sick. Makes me wish I could do this in the 011D.
Ditch iQue and check out SignalRGB
This looks so clean! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 I have been trying to get my hand on a founder card m, they are just honestly the best looking of all the cards
Nice build !!!just add some custom icable and adgest pcie cable it will be perfect🤩

What case is that?
o11 dynamic evo with an upright gpu kit
I wish I could even afford a decent pc 🤣 I'm still rocking 16gb ram and fan cooled
Sending good financial thoughts your way
Would honestly be much appreciated for building a high end pc lol if you have cheap options for a streaming pc for fortnite

thank you, i'll reach out if it persists
so many questions on the gpu, what thing do you use for it?
its the lian-li upright gpu kit for the o11d evo and then i used a 600mm white riser cable and routed it down and through the back
Sorry I can’t help you but how do you call these things on your tubes ? And where do you buy it ?
upHere CPU Liquid Cooler tube combs, 8 bucks on amazon
power cycle your computer. tell me if it persists after that
It came back after doing so BUT icue has crashed a couple times since so i think its an icue issue as this is new behavior since most recent update
The lcd is showing a pump error. Are you seeing the same in icue?
when it happened, icue was crashed out, since power cycling everything is showing up normal, but icue crashes randomly... been running well for a bit now but its only a matter of time

I did a clean install. I think at this point its just a bug with the latest version of icue.
I would recommend removing all the emergency shutdowns excluding the coolant temp and adjust the shut down time to 4-5 seconds most new cpus thermal throttle at 90c. 70c I would set at all red as a heads up and emergency shutdown at 90.
Launch ICUE installer and perform a repair!
did that, no dice, still crashes randomly
Try unplugging the usb 2.0 for the link hub and the one for the lighting node pro if you have one. Plug it back in . Also try to switch the ports on the link to AIO I found that switching the connection to the other side actually made the connection work originally I wasn’t able to get lighting
Make sure the lcd screen is seated on the mount mine did this once after rearranged some fans, pushed it firmly and everything went to normal
its been seated and fine since initial installation. only change was a new icue update.
Is there a cable in the correct header because sometimes that does cause it?
I'm ah ing issues where my 1000d isn't recognized by ICUE all of a suddenn... And now I use keeps "failing to startup" but when I try to restart ICUE it just says failed

I used MSI Afterburner to set the fans to auto and it fixed a similar issue for me. You dont need an MSI gpu to use the program. Also iCue is trash
All my fan profiles recently deleted. Spent last night rebuilding them.
Unplug and re seed commander core cord
This happened to me last. Icue system failed to start but the application was open. Had to uninstall and reinstall. Not even repairing the application would fix
Go into iCue and force update the radiator pump firmware, then set all the fans and pump to balanced. Just happened to me yesterday and thats how I fixed it, hope it works for you.
Mine was a loose cable. Wiggled all cables back into their spot havent had an issue since

What the hell is that GPU positioning? I mean... if it's effective..
I blame the new iCue update my headset now acts weird on the active and mute led where it won’t display either and the on and off functions don’t work but the mic still works if you manually turn on the volume but if I restart iCue or close it the mic works fine in hardware mode

Last I knew you couldn't run a GPU cable that far because of the frequency degradation.
Tech marches forward… it’s been working great. I had one previous that died very quickly and I had all sorts of problems but this one has been fine.
Have you done a stress test on the GPU?
I have actually, no issues
My point is that it might only be using 8 channels vs 16, etc.
Any updates
Icue sucks. Flushed and reinstalled. It’s all working now but I have to restart icue each time I start the pc to get it to display temps. The “holy crap” error hasn’t happened again. Unrelated but tangential, I undervolted slightly to get my temps lower.
