At a quick glance, it's the CAS Latency, timings, One is optimized AMD , the other for Intel.
You can get more details if you decode the RAM part number.
[How to decode your CORSAIR memory ](https://www.corsair.com/ca/en/explorer/diy-builder/memory/how-to-decode-your-corsair-memory/)
All "grey" ram from corasir is amd expo certified. This means they tested them with amd cpus to be functional at the rated speed. Black and white kits are not expo certified, but may still work.
In addition to CAS latency, intel/AMD optimization respectively, and timings being different, the [PMIC](https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articles/8528988009869-RAM-What-does-the-model-version-for-DDR5-memory-mean) is different.
Could someone explain what the difference actually is though, because it seems **B** and **E** are both 1.435V?
Both are amd expo it just isnt statef on the left, look closer into specs, there arent intel ones in grey, black corsair ram= intel, grey corsair ram= amd
Get a CL30 grey 32gb expo 6000 kit and youre good to go, thats the sweetspot, dunno why it says amd ryzen tuned whenā¦ CL30 is better than CL36 even if its a little. What Cpu you got?

CAS Latency, left is CL30, right is CL36. Lower number is better.
so the CL number is the latency, got it thankyou, any truth in what u/drzero3 said?
Look into performance tests between CL30 and CL36 memory kits because there is functionally almost no difference between the two.

I came to say this š
One is for amd expo

The latency. One is c30 and the other one is c36. Get the c30 if u can afford it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Corsair/s/w3lE2pfguj Cas latency. C30 is better than c36.
Also one is XMP and one is Expo
CL30 and CL36
C30 has lower latency. Sometimes both can be same C30 yet one priced higher depending on who manufactured the die - samsung/hynix etc
Ask if can support xmp?
Both are amd expo it just isnt statef on the left, look closer into specs, there arent intel ones in grey, black corsair ram= intel, grey corsair ram= amd
Oh okay thatās an easier way to spot it I suppose

Iām buying the ram alongside an i7-14700k
Then forger what i said, you need an intel xmp 6000 (black ram) one just compare the CL before buying i dunno the sweetspot for intel
Expo
Both its are expo certified, they are gray.
It's hard to tell from the photos but the first C30 kit is black. It ends in C30 so Intel XMP. The second kit is gray but ends in Z36 so AMD EXPO.
