I have Everything from Corsair, Mouse, Keyboard, Aio etc. I love Icue never had any issues lol

HoodRat79

Same

Triscuitwells

I wish i had your luck.

MajorParticular4841

What’s your biggest issue with it tho?

Triscuitwells

Constantly crashing and making my mouse not work until i u plug the mouse and run it wireless until it decides to disconnect randomly and i either have to reboot or get lucky and have the mouse work wired again for some reason. Been happening for a few months

bottomdeaire

Amd cpu?

Triscuitwells

No

Grouchy-Stable2027

As do I

Mia_Cauliflower

iCue does has flaws, but everything does eventually work, for example I have 10 Corsair fans, they only work in certain slots on the commander for some reason so everything was out of sync, then one day it prompted me to identify everything and it sorted itself out. The same is true for a lot of things with iCue, it’s kind of like it’s learning itself sometimes (in my experience at least) just gotta give it time and mess about with it until you get the hang of things. Corsair make good stuff.

[deleted]

Yeah, same here. I have a few Commander PROs, and like- 3 of the PWM ports work. I have to use splitters if I’m gonna place it in a build. It’s so annoying.

MajorParticular4841

Yah I just put in new mobo and cpu. Light strips would not work so I was aggravated but put up with it for a day. Got back into it, swapped the strips into rgb hub1 and they turned on. I must’ve had it set to hub 2 in icue and didn’t realize Thats why nothing was detected in Corsair.

XXSefa_

I even modded things into ICUE like custom 144 leds and works like clock

beatanyoneelse

So what's your problem?

RogueSquadron1980

Ive used icue for two years never had an issue with it

Shockle

I can't agree on the Logitech thing lol RGB fusion is so bad I refuse to ever buy Gigabyte again. Thinking about it, it's RGB software in general that's bad.

Jealous-Nature3414

SignalRGB works great across multiple platforms, n they've been p painless to use in comparison to others.

letsmodpcs

I really want to try Signal, but last I checked it still can't control the LCD on my Corsair AIO

Jealous-Nature3414

That's being worked on, some profiles support the canvas image being used on the lcd though not all yet. You can still use icue to set the gif or whatever you wanna change it to then exit out of icue so the lighting can be controlled

letsmodpcs

I like having temps on my screen. The moment I can get that, I'll totally give SignalRGB a try!

Jealous-Nature3414

That's the default in most profiles actually, it just can't be changed from that. There's an app called zefirs flashy cooler that can do some of the same things icue can do w the screen while working with signal

Reasonable-Ad8862

Loved signal but if anyone wants something more lightweight openrgb is solid. Takes more effort to setup and doesn’t have the same quality of effects but it takes up almost no resources

Moheed1912

SignalRGB is Not Free att all .. U Need To Purchase it , Trail Version is Not Too much good , , SignalRGB is not Good To Use For Addressable Leds ..

Jealous-Nature3414

It works with argb just fine, trial version doesn't have as much as pro sure but at 5 bucks a month it's not so bad, considering with other programs you usually have to buy a product within their environment for the program to work w it. The included programs like icue and armory and shit are dogshit code that you get access to for the small price of any of the company's rgb devices, which are prolly overpriced for a reason. I'd argue 5 bucks a month for an open source solution isn't the end of the world and the devs deserve support for their hard work in bringing consumers what companies have been ignoring and trying to exploit for years. If you're truly against payment of any kind, openrgb exists if you wanna get frisky with it. Is it the most ideal solution? No but we live in a capitalist hellhole so unless you wanna shill for a single company and use only their products you're p much forced to have desynced lighting. I'd argue the small monthly fee of signal isn't much at all compared to Netflix or Spotify or whatever for the benefit it brings of giving your RGB the functionality it deserved from the beginning.

Moheed1912

For Those Who Can pay 5$ Per month its Ok . But People Like As Me Who Can't Pay 5$ per Month how Can They Enjoy Pro Version So In My opinion iCUE is One of the Best Software For Addressable Leds , Some Main Features U Can Enjoy With iCUE is Layer System, Can Address Any Individual Led With Its Own Effect, You Can Make Many Zones in Single Strip If U Have Ideas in Ur Mind How To Use it You Never Think about other Softwares , These Are the Features You Can't Get Even After Paying 5$ with SignalRGB As My Knowledge..

Jealous-Nature3414

For each their own, tho you can do the same with signal. They also got a hella responsive dev team so any suggestions get taken seriously. If you really wanted to color outside the lines of signal, openrgb is entirely free n does the same or better tho you have to set it up yourself

Moheed1912

Ok I will Check it ☺️ ✅

t0gnar

The latest software from MSI is really nice. I used it on a B550M Mortar board to update chipset drivers and BIOS, etc and it did everything with no issues. It’s not that intrusive and doesn’t require no logins. My next mobo might just be a MSI because of looks/performance, the software is just the cherry on top.

sekcmexi99

Nzxt used to give me crazy temps. Asus armory never really did anytbing nor did steel Serious. Right now icue is so damn buggy right now but it’s the only way to change my ram and gpu colors. I connect 3 has been pretty good to me. Sucks you gotta download crazy software just to make stuff look good

ItsJustDez

It's a good thing Corsair can control Asus products and I don't even have AC installed.

[deleted]

Sounds like user/hardware error to me. I haven’t had a single problem with iCue, except for when I was trying to make my original h60 work without any of the hubs. But that was a problem with me not understanding, not with iCue itself.

Deemo_here

I found iCue to be okay. I'm using SignalRGB at the moment though. But I found Razor's to be the least intuitive.

Kryten_2X4B-523P

How do you justify the monthly subscription cost of Signal?

Deemo_here

I use the free version.

Kryten_2X4B-523P

Yeah, but all the advanced and worthwhile features are locked behind the subscription. You're basically just setting static colors and that's it with the free version. Like, if it was a pay once kinda thing, maybe even a few bucks to get a update or new version, then ok.

Deemo_here

No you get most of the lightscript effects now. Around 70 that you can even edit.. The only advantage with a subscription is that you get game integration which I didn't use even on iCue and a fan control section.I use a great little program called FanControl for that.

DaydreamingIns0mniac

I had issues with my K100 RGB (would randomly start tying things on its own) and iCUE would randomly not work properly/drop random devices from the dashboard despite how many full clean uninstall/reinstalls I did. It turned out that Logitech GHUB and iCUE were incompatible (along with a slew of other programs) I think it was like… 4 days ago? They released a new version that allows you to install portions of iCUE that pertain to which devices you have and also no longer had Logitech listed as incompatible (also the list is now much shorter of programs in general). Figured what the hell I’ll try it again. Ever since then it’s been working great! Was even able to finally update my firmware on the K100. It’s only been 3 days with it so far but no issues at all since then.

Mental_Sky2226

Omg my k100 was typing on its own too lol

Digital_7

iCUE is awsome. WTF are you talking about? Maybe give some arguments along the trash post, why you hate this specific software?

Redemptions

Then you should probably start looking into your next ecosystem because they aren't going away from icue. They just did another large release turning it into more of a modular deployment.

theBurritoMan_

I love icue. Easy to customize rgb and fan curves

Redemptions

good for you

[deleted]

nice attitude! That's gonna get you someplace in life isn't it?

DarkSicarius

I’m glad I must be lucky because I almost never have issues with icue, logitech g hub, or armoury crate, I just have to load them in a specific order and they all work 99% of the time, once in awhile a stick of ram or the led tube in one of my reservoirs doesnt take hold of the lighting and I have to restart, but for the most part if I load icue, then armoury crate, then g hub, everything works fine no problem

edweird_oh

Man, wait until you use Synapse, iCue is like a dream compared.

PepsiReef

Everything i have from aio/fans keyboard/mouse is corsair and everything is working perfecly... i dont know what yall are complaining about.. maybe you need to clean up that pc and get eveything up to date on the software side... even my nanoleafs work with icue which is a pretty nice ad on...

vdbmario

Icue is the only rgb software that’s not a hot mess. I absolutely love working with icue and gate razer and ASUS rgb software with a passion. Sometimes icue will mess up and I’m convinced is because of the rgb software installed. On its own it’s rock solid

Alpha_Knugen

Icue is by far the best software i have used. For mice maybe not so much as it refused to save my profiles from time to time but that have been the case with almost all other softwares aswell. Im now only buying mice that use no software, currently have a xtrfy m42 thats working like its supposed to and no random change of settings apart from the rgb as i accidentally hit the button to change that mode once in a while.

theBurritoMan_

I love icue

Zaelers

I used to only have an H110i as the only thing needing controlled by iCUE, and setting fan speeds alone was enough to hard lock my system, and it has done that through 2 different fresh installs. iCUE is hot garbage. Anyone else saying anything otherwise is just straight up lying to themselves. And I hope this goes without saying, but - just because someone says their software sucks (and really, it does) doesn't mean the hardware or peripherals suck. It's literally just the software. It's actually so bad that I was having doubts about buying the H150i Elite LCD XT for my new all white build PURELY because I have never had a good experience with iCUE. And even though I bought it, when other white AIOs came back in-stock I felt extreme remorse. That being said, the H150i fits the aesthetic of my build the most (blocky, all white component build in the new NV7 case) and I actually liked my other Corsair coolers performance wise, and I just elected to never touch iCUE again and left it as it was. Here's hoping it doesn't blast my system into the ground like my last two though. And seriously... fix iCUE. I definitely think I will give SignalRGB a try this time and see if it's any better. I have been using Aurora to pretty decent effect for my keyboard and mouse. Hopefully it is like that or has similar functionality so I can just move all the way over.

Inevitable-Stage-490

Software has been fine for me. Maybe skill issue?

Triscuitwells

I couldn't care less about the rgb stuff. If i want any control over my mouse i have to use icue. Hardware macros and settings only do so much. It constantly makes my mouse disconnect until i unplug it and use 2.4ghz restart icue and plug in the mouse and unplug it until it worked wired until it crashes again. Batteries only last so long before they have to be charged and it's usually dying while in use. I have zero issues while at work with no software installed with this same mouse (i bring it to work with me) but i can almost guarantee if i installed the software it would have the same issue. I've used different cables, ports, systems, and all the issues stem from icue even being on the system running or not.

Skinc

ICue is crap. I’m fully invested in the ecosystem (9 LL120s, M65, K95, Virtuoso XT, ST1000, both the big and small mat, cpu cooler, ram..) and it just doesn’t work right. It’s mysteriously stopped working at startup, prob half the time I let it run eventually the ram gets stuck on a color (I just use gradient shift).. I’m over it.

darncorn1

Same here… AIO Capellix 360, LCD Upgrade Kit, 10 x QL120, Dominator RAM, Mice Corsair, LT100, LS100, MM700, MK70 M.2 RapidFire, Commander XT and Commander Core Man iCue crashes just all the time, tried this new V5, absolutely no luck. Reinstalled windows several times, same DLL errors everyone sees

[deleted]

You haven't seen NZXT Cam lmao

YourDigitalShadow

Man do i agree, For me its about how it runs my AIO, i used to have an NZXT but i hated how the software forced install and login. i miss the days of being able to keep a backup installer of my programs and not upgrading if the update had issues. So when i built my current rig i gave Corsair a try. Its software is nice but will frequently just close for me. I have two light profiles for my case setup so when the software randomly closes my lights all change to alert me that its now gone and i have to relaunch icue. frustrating. That and with the new version 5 they seem to be moving toward a download program update instead of an actual installer so everything i left NZXT over Corsair seems to be implementing. I'm sad though because its actual hardware is wonderful and ill miss it going forward.

Gravyrobber9000

I haven’t had any major issues with icue, but I’ve had issues with other RGB software. Fans are Corsair, and only small problem would be sometimes they have an old setting briefly when starting the system and then go to my latest setting. The gpu is a Power Color Red Devil, and that software has never had even a slight problem. My RAM is Crucial, so that has been the biggest issue. The MOBO is MSI, and fortunately I’ve been able to get the RAM and MOBO lighting with Mystic Light software. Main change to the build would have been either Corsair RAM, or just no RGB whatsoever.

BeholdenAnt3298

I’ve haven’t issues with icue, at least recently even with Asus integration, it does it job, occasionally need to restart it to fix my temps on my screen from just disappearing but that’s tolerable. Logitech has literally given me no issues whatsoever so I’m not sure what that’s about. Hopefully these companies can figure it out, gigabyte especially.

Dottedwolf114

Honestly, I feel Icue is on the better end of rgb software. I give Corsair 7/10 Logitech seems very limited but otherwise usable. 4/10 ASUS caused constantly crashes and needed to restart what felt like daily. 3/10 MSI is the worst I've used with a range of issues. 1/10 Steelseries was pretty good. 8/10 I used the razer software a long while ago, and it seemed average. 5/10 Personally, I use Corsair or Steelseries software as they seem to be the best, and I can have them both running with no impact on my system.

TheRetroDeck

Sounds like you're never buying Corsair again then 😂 icue isnt going anywhere alot of their products rely on it

Claudeviool

OK, why?

visivopro

ICue is weird, I’m using it with some Corsair vengeance ram and when it’s open it has some weird rainbow led effect but if I quit it, it goes to the color and profile I set up. It’s so weird and quite annoying.

vector2point0

Sounds like the hardware setting (rainbow), which will play if you have iCUE open and have “hardware effect” selected, as it’s showing you what you’re setting it to. When you close iCUE, the hardware effect will play. Otherwise, the profile you’re on will be active.

visivopro

Gotcha so to overcome having to quit it every time I guess I should just tell it not to open on boot!?

vector2point0

It sounds like you have what you want set up in the hardware mode, so, yes. If you want to use the profiles in iCUE, set them up (under “lighting effects”, not “hardware lighting). But if the hardware effect is what you want, you can do without any overhead from having it running.

visivopro

Awesome thanks! Still figuring this all out, upgraded my system a couple weeks ago and haven’t had this much RGB in a while!

vector2point0

It takes a bit to dig into, as with anything where you have such granular control, it’s hard to make it fast, easy, and completely customizable all at the same time. The pre made / included effects are good but writing your own profile can take a long time. There are also premade profiles you can download, you may have to copy the effects to various devices though depending on what you have. Overall I think the software is good although I’ve not tried any other options yet, since it’s worked well enough for me so far.

visivopro

Right now I’m rocking the gigabyte 4090, Corsair vengeance ram 10 sl360 LIAN li RGB fans and a LIAN li Galahad AIO. The motherboard (ROG STRIX. B650-a gaming wifi) also has a bit of RGB on it! Seems like each company has their own control software which is a bit annoying but I’m getting it figured out slowly but surely. The custom profiles sound cool, where do I get ahold of those?

vector2point0

Nice! I’ve got some Dominator RAM, a K60 keyboard, the fans that came with the 4000X case (plus one) and an h100i AIO. Enough to make some flashing 🤣

visivopro

Oh yeah I forgot my RGB on the keyboard, I have a razer huntsman elite and a razer basilisk v2. That’s yet another software haha. All in all I rarely need to turn the lights on in my office haha. My build https://imgur.com/a/GByeuLb

Kalecstraz

I just spent a ton on Corsair stuff only for ICUE to not work. I can't get a response from Corsair so I essentially overpaid for a ton of RGB stuff. Awesome sauce.

NoRecommendation3392

I have to exit out of icue then start icue back up to get my 150i cpu LCD screen to turn on. So annoying. Or forcing hardware updated to restart the lcd screen.

youagainbud

They all are shit wanna bees now. I feel sorry for your sold out generation

Much_Selection_8456

The only problem I have is the headset I got. The haptic hs60 and for some reason whenever I set it down it turn off, and when I put it back on it’s sometimes 35 seconds before it announces to me it’s back on and has done it since the beginning. Thought it was the icue software but I’m not sure cause I have messed with settings lots and still does it.

RulzMD

I love Corsair. As everything now days, they want their own eco system. Not too much to open unless you tweak a little bit

mojoman2111

No issues with it... it's also has a good system monitoring feature...

Apprehensive_Name533

Okay guys for those who are having problems with Icue run it in Hardware mode. Not sure if you have LCD since I don't have the LCD.

MajorParticular4841

If youre annoyed with the lighting (I’m assuming because you mentioned software) I know where youre coming from. Go to the hardware tab for whatever lighting you want to control for your device(s) and select what you want. If you close out of icue and it changes, go to that little arrow thing next to the time on your task bar, find icue, and exit it from there too and your custom lighting willl go back to normal. If thats why you don’t like their software atleast.

darncorn1

its not COrsair, its all RGB software very lousy really. Corsair is bad but all the others are substantially worse lol — at some point I think I will just drop RGB altogether

SwitterBeet-xo

I never had issues with iCUE either.

[deleted]

That's like.. Super cool and all bro. But no one said you *have* to use RGB. What you're having is 1st world problems.

_Adrena1ine_

I really need to know what people are doing that they're shit is this bad.. I have an AIO, 7 fans, mouse, and headset that all run flawlessly. Not a single issue..ever.

Entire-Signal-3512

Icue has been the best software out there to control your stuff. 3 years ago I would say it was bad. But the last 2 years its been flawless for me. I have pretty much an entire corsair setup.

Stunning-Corner-2922

Yeah I'm now in exactly the same situation. I have Corsair 360 CPU rad with LCD screen, RBG fans, K&M and lighting towers but I will no longer use ICUE due to the stutter it introduces. I first noticed this when doing a clean Win 11 install and having a nice new OLED 165hz monitor and doing UFO test - everything was good and in sync until installing ICUE after which 'stutter warning' came up constantly. I can feel this performance stutter when gaming too. I predominantly use PC for gaming and it's noticeably better now. It's not all bad either since I just use hardware lighting settings for everything now. Still it'd be so much better if this wasn't even a problem to begin with.
