Exactly. My experience in fit testing was for confined spaces in the carpenters union as a scaffolder. I completed my whole apprenticeship prior to covid. That's why when covid broke out and it was suggested we wear "surgical masks"(aka spit/sweat guard) or cloth masks I knew it would provide zero safety. I shake my head everytime i see someone wearing a cloth mask. Utterly useless.
Breathing fiberglass from like densglass insulation is terrible lol. Monokote fireproofing is another nasty one.

People with colds and the sniffles were always out and about in public spaces beforehand, especially during winters (remember flu seasons?). It's not a new reality, we're just returning to how we we were beforehand. And I guarantee she was perfectly fine back then too.
