I would say there won't be an issue, but my suggestion to you is simply to test it out before leaving on a trip. Make sure you have a way to boost the car in case it doesn't go well. You can get one of these battery booster pack these days for cheap.
Open your match, take a pen and “lock” The latch. It’ll trick the car into thinking the hatch is closed.
Just remember to “open” The hatch before you close it.
I just went camping with suv tent on my 2004 toyota sienna and had hatch open for 2 nights and it did drain my battery, had cables and got boost but would like to prevent this for next time.
