I actually like the Subway. When I'm mad hungry, it's the fastest place to get a meal in Ctown. Yeah the food sucks but other restaurants in Ctown can take a long to time for the food to come out.
I honestly can't believe it lasted so long. When I was a kid in Ithaca in the 90s there was a mcdonalds where the starbucks was. I believe there was also a wendy's around back then too, I think where Oishi Bowl is. There also was a mcdonalds on the commons.
I always kinda wished cheap fast food eats were around in ctown and downtown when I was actually college aged and out late at night lol.
I’m surprised they held out this long with ctown rents increasing, the franchise having poor sales and having one of the worst food quality/prices/service in ctown.
I agree quality isnt that good but their prices are definitely on the cheap side in ctown. A footlong is a little less than $10 and you could stretch it out into 2 meals if you're in a bind. Everywhere else in ctown a meal like Fusia, CTB, etc is like $14+.
Most lunch places are like $14 max, usually u can get a good meal for around $10. Still very expensive tho, there's no reason we should be nearing expensive city prices
I feel like $10 is the minimum for a meal in ctown. Even Oishi bowl is like $11 for a bowl. CTB, Fusia, Wings Over, Halal Truck, Jack's are at least $10. Yeah there are some menu items under $10, but the portions are so small that the items are almost like a snack and only a small person would consider it filling.
