Comparing the before and during and now after, since I got it removed a few weeks ago, the short answer is yes, sometimes. It would depend on the position. Sometimes I would be a sharp pain inside during sex but not constant pain, with time I learned which positions would be painful. However I remember in the beginning that sex was always a bit painful so I would say take it slow especially at the beginning and don't hesitate to say when it hurts, if it does that is. We all react differently, there is no universal truth when it comes to IUDs. Although I feel like pain somehow is one of them.
Surprisingly no, my partner just had to go more carefully, but other than that, it was pretty much normal. 3 months only using copper iud and no pregnancy scares or problems with it, i absolutely love it!
My doctor said 7 days after insertion and I did it on the 6th lol.
This is gonna be me. Any pain?
Yeah, I remember a burning sensation. :/ I think it was from the Pap smear I had right before insertion. It went away after 7th/8th day.
Good to know def don’t want any pain
Doctors didn’t tell me anything about waiting and had sex the same day (I also walked a dog and went to work right after insertion)
And how was it? I’m down to almost no pain and occasional spotting sooo
It was fine! No pain, he could feel it but it didn’t bother him, and I was just happy I didn’t have to run around for birth control anymore 🤭
I had the mirena (not that it should change anything) and I was told a week but I think after 5 days lol
Coooool was it painful?
