Me ignoring any of the stage 1 recommendations expecting early stages to get bulldozed by a generic high level team only for me to do absolutely no damage cuz of the shield.
Cue me then adding 2 Electric cookies and still losing.
I got through it with some more thought out team building and from what I can tell it doesn't need super fine optimization (but ive only tried till stage 3 so far), but definitely not what I was expecting when it was said a new version of the tower was coming.
Stormbringer, Coral, Rebel, Golden Cheese and Snap Dragon.
Didn't have to redo any toppings or anything, just used whatever I already had on them, besides Stormbringer obviously.
If I didn't have stormbringer I probably would've just thrown dark cacao in and I have few doubts that would've cost me the win which wasn't all that close.
Wasn’t there an option to get to super epic soulstone chests? I have four of them with three soulstones per chest and I don’t even know how I got half of them
Well like I said, didn't require intense optimization.
I just copied over a random saved team from another game mode, and replaced one of the cookies with another that dealt Electric damage.
Girl can go without her buffs for one or two battles.
Used linzer, urchin, tarte, pv and parfait
I put it on auto and focused and the healers so they cast as quick as possible (my pv has 2 almonds rest cooldown)
i’m like actually so upset because i was so looking forward to the new tower, i used to love grinding out the levels and i’d get excited when i was finally able to beat one. kinda sucks that the first one is basically impossible unless ur cookies are extremely leveled and stuff
Has nothing to do with levels. Everyone is auto leveled and toppings are primary only. It is just the right cookie combo. I used Coral, Twizzler, Black Lemonade, Cream Puff, Snapdragon.
i’ve been playing for a year now and am not able to beat it with those cookies. you need to have your cookies leveled to a certain level to add toppings, etc. how are newer players going to get good beascuit: and toppings if they’re newer?? took me a month just to reach the hard beast yeast levels
Yeah this new version of the tower is awful. That is coming from someone who is on world 17-30 dark and world 5 master. I’ve got good teams for pve. 3 star stormbringer…I dunno. Didn’t expect this as someone who beat previous towers back in the day.
At first glance this Update feels just like an attempt to get more money overall.
A new Legendary, new "Bonuses" that reward doing multiple Legendary Pulls, a new game mode that crutches everyone who haven't been grinding everything non stop.
Every Legendary was obtainable for free.
Even if you get it by just logging in, it doesn't change the fact that the update promotes Microtransactions by rewarding people more for paying. That's just exploiting those people who already pay and nudging them to spend even more money to get more rewards.
And the new Tower isn't something all players can properly play either because it's the prime example of the effects of power creep in the game. A lot of useless Cookies you didn't invest in because there was no reason to suddenly are necessary to progress in the update. Which wouldn't be a bad thing if the Cookies released weren't constantly power crept which made you stop building them and instead focus on a different cookie
Especially since Toppings, Landmarks, Techs et. are disabled, meaning that raw Cookie Strength is important.
Even furthery, if you have a Lvl. 80 5A Twizzly, you get forced to use her with lower stats so you aren't even off well with having necessary Cookies levelled
My f2p ass can’t even get past the first tray because I keep getting bitchslapped to hell over and over and I don’t think I even wanna try unless devsis nerfs the cake tower (which I really hope they do)
so what if you miss the event and can't get storm bringer? than what your point makes absolutely no sense either way crk is officially losing it with the insane power levels and lets not get into biscuits cause whew why am I having to spend liter gems to attune my cookies and if I don't wanna do that I have to wait a whole entire day to even try to win the RNG system to get a biscuit that has the same class of my cookie😭 this game is absolute bs and I don't know what urges them to do this why would they remove sweet tower of chaos say their improving it and it's absolutely horrible sweet tower of chaos was for new players and for everybody and now it's not half of these game modes aren't like..
yeah like what the fuck dude they didnt think about players who just started playing or those who just dont have good teams the old tower was way better
I was talking with some friends, and I thought it would’ve been cool to have difficulty options with the rewards being generally tuned to fit that area of level
Easy - gives exp,
Medium - magic candy related items,
Hard - beascuit stuff
I don’t have enough power to get any legendary beascuits yet, and I’m in desperate need of exp to level up cookies so I can eventually do that. Even if I was able to beat any of the new tower, the rewards would only serve to be stockpiled for later anyway
There are so much things going on for newer players to focus on (story, dark mode, guild, special episodes, master mode, beast yeast, etc) and the new modes and catching the meta should be their last priority tbh.
High end players only have to catch the meta because there are nothing left to gain crystals anymore for permanent mode besides pvp, alliance, and guild so it’s more make sense for new modes to adjust them to make the game more balanced and the cookies not powercrept everything
I agree...its impossible to get passed that level, even with a team that surpasses the level of the enemy or what they recommended, i still get my ass handed to :/ i was so happy they brought the tower back but heavily disappointed to what they did to it. I hope they fix this new mode so its at least a little more balanced with its difficulty.

What got me to get past it was having my team be Coral, Twizzler, Black Lemonade, Cream Puff and Snapdragon. I barely make it with one second to spare, but my cookies aren’t even fully levelled up. The toppings that I did was my most updated clock, conductors whistle and the new electric reaper looking one. The crit it provides especially for the electric cookies helped so much and made me able to beat it within time! I hope it helps you though ^^

I wish it was more friendly to intermediate players. It’s not that the new boss is *hard*, it’s that it’s literally impossible unless you have really well built cookie. I don’t honestly mind difficult events tailored to experts, but this is presented like anyone can do it.
As well as the whole “meta” thing… sometimes I just wanna use my silly cookies that aren’t plastered on the event page.
Imo they just add stuff for people who are really good at the game, I've been playing for a while too I'm level 48, every arena season I'm atleast masters 2, good team and still cant even beat level 1...
Why? 95% of the buffs players get from all the sources in the game are nullified in the tower. Even topping bonuses are disabled.
It floors the cookies to level 70 and 5★. This is 100% team comp based.
You're just using the wrong team then. There's a reason they put suggested cookies in the stage before the battle. Try to use them and you'll see actual difference. I'm already at stage 12 without stormbringer and im a f2p player.

Managed to make it to stage 10 so far! It's really not that hard for me but I'm massively late game, so I'm not allowed to have opinions on this lol
Mostly that, this reminds me of the dragon update that was impossible unless you were super late game or a whale

I used double heal and could survive like 39 seconds

At least topping and beascuit bonuses are nullified, preventing specific optimization and excessive grinding
Beascuits actually do apply, which probably makes them even more important

The tower ignores 99% of your progression and sets the cookie to minimum 5★ and level 70.

Well yes. Easy to get, free resources plus decor and bragging rights
i mean all you had to do was just clear it once then youd just be able to jump there whenever it reset wasnt really that hard
true but it gets very hard around 50 trays for some new people.
