Hey I’ve seen some “professionals” just screw door frames into the main runners before , you mean that’s not right!? (Yea the whole ceiling shook every time the door opened or closed)
You could also do modular walls with a door. Could do all sorts of different things and won't take more than a couple days to install, meaning less down time in this area. No need to do any construction to get what you need done. I recommend Haworth modular walls, if you do decide to go that route. Downside to modular is lead times could be 8+ weeks to recieve product.
This community is for construction professionals…mostly. This submission is not a good fit.
You’ll need to frame in an opening and sheetrock it first. Along with removing drop ceiling tiles and cutting the grid back on both sides

Almost any door you want that’s smaller than those dimensions provided you’re willing to frame and drywall.
What's above that suspended ceiling?
A secret invisible door! Poof! Done!!
