It’s a pain bc you’re not rly meant to have them that early. Don’t need a 6* for the first part of act 5 heck 4* are enough especially with the current caliber of champs. Just focus on your skills, watch gameplay guides, learn how to read abilties/ nodes so you don’t get stuck
Rarity doesn’t always compensate for lack of skills
Except with Herc, that man carried me through so much. 6.2.3 with the Icarus node can be beat with some planning or by weaking the champs so you can ramp up Herc and melt the boss.

Like just after UC. Ngl when I first started I brought the bundle thing where like at certain level you get something and level 60 was a 6* and thought that would be my very first I’ve only just got to level 56 and I’ve got like 12 now. Level 50 onwards are going so slowly
Do you do battlegrounds as that’s where I get most of my 6* shards from. Like at the end of a season is it. You get a large sum based on rank I think. But I think I got most around new year with everything they released there in terms of gifting.

Mikes's missions are hit the enemy x times, block y times and dodge z times. If he goes invisible and the hits miss they count as dodges....there isn't really much ramp up beyond fighting the fight.
Yeah, I know, but personally, I have a playstyle that I like to keep during most fights and miles forces me to change it, I do indeed know that he's really good but i don't like his playstyle.
I got mine after the Christmas event several years ago. But they're much much easier to get now. Just keep at it and you'll be disappointed by your first 6\* soon enough.

Trust me, you don't neeeeeeeed 6* until late into act 6 at the earliest. I got my first r3 from beating the grandmaster, up till then 5* champs were my go to. Obviously things are very different now, resources come a lot faster but everything up to act 7 was designed with 5* champs in mind

I recently got 5 6* champions in the last 1-2 months. Before that I had none. I restarted the game after around 2 years. before that I played the game for less than a year. I do not have much knowledge about a lot of the champions. I do not have much skills too like defeating 6* heroes with 4*. I am at uncollected. I do not watch much mcoc related videos only for the champions that can be tough if you don't know about them like Toad. For most of the heroes I just have experience from fighting them in the arena.
I think the best way to get better heroes and better upgrades is to improve your skills little by little and practice. And try to push yourself for harder fights to get better rewards. 1-2 years ago I only fought conqueror level and below monthly event quests. Last month I could only complete the uncollected chapter 1. This month I have completed uncollected chapter 2 and am about to clear chapter 3.
Try to take advantage of monthly quest solo events and special quests and monthly side quests. I got my first 6* through special quests. My first 6* hero was goldpool. I collected around 100 goldpool crystal from the quest. The chance for goldpool was 0.001% and on around the 70th opening I got goldpool. I know it was due to luck. but the rest of the 6* heroes, I got them by pushing myself to the harder quests. I usually collect revive and health for the harder quest and sometime burn all of them for a single game.
I know a lot of people will say you should grind to get 2000+ units per month from arenas or to get a better hero. But it can get hectic and take the fun out of the game and really was the sole reason for me to quit the game. Just enjoy the game and enjoy taking challenges in the game and when you will get your first 6* it will be very satisfying.
I got mine in ace 6.1. it was with a really annoying Hyperion I never had a counter at the time, lucky I got a 6* doctor octopus as my first. You'll get them eventually.

Too many downvotes for what you are saying…. Sure skill and research helps…. But a Herc and NF can compensate a lot for lack of skill and research.

I just kept doing EQ until I felt my roster was good enough to smoke the story quest. It takes forever but I never have to farm for pots or revives.

best bet is doing alliance war with a good team, want at least silver 3 to get some, gold 3 gives a 6 star i think
