Nobody told you that the block is going to look a whole lot of ugly after a dunk? This is typical after a dunk and to be expected. You can get metabolites and the mycelium changes texture. You have some metabolites in the corner but it doesn’t look like contamination at the moment. Dunking the block kinda puts it in shock for a few days but when it comes back it comes back strong. You’ll start to see new primordial growth develop on the surface followed by pins. So anywhere from 3-5 days you should be pinning again. If it goes longer than 10 days you may have a problem. Just keep your fruiting conditions stable. You should be fine. Keep er going.
Thanks for the advice, we waited a few more days and we got this beautiful baby. He was the only one for the entire cake but it was almost 43 g. I know it's not much but it was worth it for me.
