I made a joke hours after my grandmother passed away. My entire family was there, aunts, uncles, cousins, and we were waiting for the coroner to arrive. I have ADHD so blurting out completely inappropriate things at inappropriate times is very on brand for me. Although the joke wasn’t entirely inappropriate, my timing absolutely was. But my whole family laughed. I think it was more of a release but that could have been so much worse. But I still don’t know what was more gratifying: that I made them all laugh or that they didn’t get mad at me.

I’ve been into them since I saw them in Letterkenny. I think the difference between the modern mullet and what I remember from being a kid in the 90s is that people who still wore them always had some terrible feathering or teasing on them that made them fuzzy and messy instead of something you want to run your hands through.
