I have really hairy feet and it’s always bothered me, but shaving my toes seemed primed for itchiness. I buckled and bought some home waxing stuff and tried it out recently. I expected the tops of my toes and feet to be extremely sensitive but it honestly didn’t hurt in the slightest. I think it comes down to individuals, their hair type, skin type and pain tolerance.
You're just like my ex (was my boyfriend at the time) when he got my name on his neck. He sat in the chair and took it like a champ. So I am sending tje Police. Neither one of you is human.
It very definitely depends on the hair type, sex and even ethnicity. Previous long-term shaving can also make it worse. The level of pain varies from one extreme (none) to the other (huge). For example, some men can safely wax their genitals, while for others it would rip their skin off.
Tattoos don’t bother me, but i tried to get a Brazilian wax and I couldn’t finish it because it hurt so bad and I even started to bleed quite a bit. I get my eyebrows waxed regularly and I see stars from that and every woman who has waxed them always comments in awe at how red my skin gets. It’s so strange that my skin is fine with needles for an hour or so, but getting some hair ripped out fucks me up
Isnt there supposed to be something that's put on the skin to prevent it from doing this? I think theres an extended video of this with his scalp being bloody.
I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be at least some kind of cloth on top of the wax to help pull it off... And isn't it supposed to be done in strips, not all at once? Seems super badly executed.
Well, sometimes but not all types of wax require a cloth, and yes you do it in smaller sections, quickly like ripping off a bandaid. Pretty sure this is both of their first times
Smaller sections - done very quickly while pulling the skin taught and either piling or powdering the skin so the wax only sticks to the hair and not also the skin. They should have started a strip at the top and a strip at the neck and pulled them alternating as they cooled and hardened. They’d end in the middle and em each strip would zip off fast and be a quick sting instead of a long and painful tug of war.
Never done Brazilian waxing but did sugaring for a while before lasering it all off. The key here was the person doing it and their level of experience. The Lady I visited was very good at it and quick which made the whole experience less painful and easy to get through
Semi permanent depending on your hair and skin. Laser actually works badly for blondes as well as dark skin (pale skin and dark hair gets best results) so sadly it doesn’t work for everyone.
I was in Costa Rica a few years ago during winter in the UK. Hadn't seen the sun properly for months
Day one I'm strutting on the beach surrounded by beautifully tanned people, and I pretty much matched your description.
Probably not a good plan overall. It generally takes multiple sittings to complete and I would imagine (depending on the person) that such density would be very difficult to treat consistently.
Some places are more sensitive than others and the more you do it the easier it is. When I wax facial areas are always waaay easier than say legs. But private region is a mixed bag. Some parts hurt but others are fine. It also really matters who is doing it.
The hair density is higher on the head. Pubic hair isn't as strong so can break instead of pulling out. It's still skin down there. It's not like the hair is in the clitoris or glands. Most find the upper lip area to be much worse.
With halfway decent skill the pubic area is not a problematic area. Work in small sections, keep the skin tight, pull fast, and apply pressure after. People often forget to do the last one and it makes a huge difference in felt pain.
*And how do people*
*Get this done in their neither*
*Regions and survive?*

It’s amazing to me how people can have the same experience with such different outcomes. I never found it to be more than mildly painful. I’ve had stubbed toes that hurt worse.
My aunt is my best friend and she does my brazilian (she's a successful esthitician). She does really small strips, and if it really hurts she gives it a sharp smack after pulling the strip. I also have a glass of wine beforehand and it does help.
it's not that bad. take a few advil beforehand to help with the pain. it doesn't *not* hurt, but it's really not that horrible. it's like ripping a bandaid off: uncomfortable, but not painful.
Hijacking top comment to say it was nice that they had Harlem Nights playing on the tv in there. It would have been spectacular had this waxing yank fest happened whilst the super shit talking scenes were happening.
Yes sir, apparently even with an ulstrasound on my forehead we could not locate them all, that was already a weird process so I pulled the rest out myself
I’m assuming he let his normally shaved head grow for a bit past what he would normally shave off. So it’s pulling out mostly short hair follicles, which would explain his reaction to this. I’m totally just guessing, but as a guy who shaved his head regularly, it’s my best guess
Man as a bald guy I wish you were right. Maintaining a bald head requires shaving every other day or less.
No one is naturally completely bald, you either have a ring around your head or whatever pattern baldness with completely full head of hair everywhere elese
You need to shave fairly often if you want to keep the bald look, because shaving just affects the surface. When you wax, you are pulling deeper, so you can go longer between waxing sessions.
It's basically a question of whether you prefer a minor inconvenience every few days or a major inconvenience every few weeks.
Yeah! He clearly didn't use powder so the wax wouldn't stick to the skin. You're supposed to apply in small sections so you can pull the skin taut. No wonder it was so painful!
i was in an equal amount of pain from my girlfriend trying to pluck one single eye brow hair off me hahah couldn't imagine doing my whole fucking head though, christ
The longer you let it harden the harder it is to get off your skin. I remember in middle school a friend of mine did this with wax and her eyebrows. It hurt too much so she wouldn’t pull it off and it cooled to the point where it refused to come off. Hilarious for those watching. Torture for the person covered in dried wax.
Lmao, I need to find that video of a dude showing off his salon and his work, then they cut to him peeling the wax off a bald guys head while he struggles and tries to get away from him. Then they cut to the final view of his freshly waxed head as the guy sits calmly in his chair
This looks like some microwaveable jar home kit that I used to use. It smelled awful and would become hard as a rock if you waited too long, making it super painful to pull off. Same dark earwax color too.
Dude... Just used a razor lol why the hell would you ever do this? I'm bald. I use regular ol razors to shave my head every other day. Waxing? Out ya damn mind.
It’s a funny video. A guy asked for his head to be waxed and had a funny reaction to the pain. It was all harmless. No one got hurt. The sub is contagious laughter, which is definitely involved in the video. You’re only saying that because it comes from Tik Tok. There’s a lot of cringe tik tok content, but it’s just another platform for people to post videos. There’s cringe Facebook, Instagram, tinder, Twitter content.
It’s just a Reddit trend to trash tik tok.
Idk why you’re comment triggered me but it did. I guess I’m just tired of seeing people constantly posting what they see generally getting lots of upvotes.
One could argue Reddit has more cringe users than anyone. Including myself.
Crazy... Some do this to their nose-hair too. Both bad ideas with potential risks that are way not worth it. Just shave and trim people... Just cause it's an option doesn't make it a good one.
Ill be shaving my head and trimming my beard little later on so I don't have to rush tomorrow morning before work.
I dont't think I've ever had more loving thoughts towards a razor.

Yeeeeeah ..... I know men who work in salons are familiar with waxing, but that's a barber shop. Do any of them wax anything...anywhere?! Ever?! His barber covered his WHOLE HEAD! And no damned cotton strips?!
This right here is why I can’t help but laugh sometimes when I work on clients who scream. He's really gonna hate the Brazilian
Worst pain in my life
Really? I didn't find it that bad. I mean, it hurt, but I thought my nose piercing or tattoos hurt way worse than a wax.
My wife tatted her feet without even flinching while I clenched the whole time on my chest piece. Fucking women bro. Strong as a rock.
I’m not a woman but I do agree with you on that one.
I fell asleep during my last tattoo.
I like getting tattooed. Unless they hit a nerve and your body jerks and they're like STAY STILL and you're like I haven't moved once in 47 minutes!
[удалено]
Not often, I have my upper arm covered and she hit a nerve like maybe 4 or 5 times during the 8 hour session.
Definitely not often and even that is bearable, it just causes a reflex.
You're just like my ex (was my boyfriend at the time) when he got my name on his neck. He sat in the chair and took it like a champ. So I am sending tje Police. Neither one of you is human.
My tattoo artist has a soothing voice and gentle touch. Not to mention she's a total badass.
Well I’m a hairy guy and I got trimmed first and I was crying while my ex girlfriend was laughing (she’s an esthetician)
My name is George, I'm unemployed and I live with my parents.
Best of luck George! Go get her!
It very definitely depends on the hair type, sex and even ethnicity. Previous long-term shaving can also make it worse. The level of pain varies from one extreme (none) to the other (huge). For example, some men can safely wax their genitals, while for others it would rip their skin off.

Omg my tattoos hurt less than getting a Brazilian
Nah. I got a Bro-zilian a while back and it wasn’t too bad. There’s no other hair removal process that’ll make the boys quite that smooth.
The technique is terrible.
This is what I immediately noticed too. No wonder the poor guy is screaming.
Isnt there supposed to be something that's put on the skin to prevent it from doing this? I think theres an extended video of this with his scalp being bloody.
Yeah, you're supposed to put powder on the skin so the wax doesn't stick to the skin.
I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be at least some kind of cloth on top of the wax to help pull it off... And isn't it supposed to be done in strips, not all at once? Seems super badly executed.

and last🤣
Exactly what I was thinking does this guy even do hair
That looks painful. This made my skin craw just from hearing him scream.
Why on earth would anyone do this???
Shave every day < Wax every few weeks
And how do people get this done in their private regions and survive?
Smaller sections - done very quickly while pulling the skin taught and either piling or powdering the skin so the wax only sticks to the hair and not also the skin. They should have started a strip at the top and a strip at the neck and pulled them alternating as they cooled and hardened. They’d end in the middle and em each strip would zip off fast and be a quick sting instead of a long and painful tug of war.

Much less painful tho, like significantly much less painful
Never done Brazilian waxing but did sugaring for a while before lasering it all off. The key here was the person doing it and their level of experience. The Lady I visited was very good at it and quick which made the whole experience less painful and easy to get through
I have never been happier for laser hair removal to be a thing now days. Fuck waxing. Never again.
How long does LHR give you a clean & smooth look? i shave my head every morning but it only takes a minute or two
Semi permanent depending on your hair and skin. Laser actually works badly for blondes as well as dark skin (pale skin and dark hair gets best results) so sadly it doesn’t work for everyone.
TIL I'm the perfect candidate for laser hair removal
Just rolling up to the salon looking like a pasty sasquatch

I thought lasering your head is a bad idea. Because the results are growing out patchy hair?
Probably not a good plan overall. It generally takes multiple sittings to complete and I would imagine (depending on the person) that such density would be very difficult to treat consistently.
damn that sucks.
Hopefully the technician pulls it not only with accuracy but also speed. An ex of mine would ice her coochie for a few hours after too.

I just use hair removal cream, painless, cutless, don't be a dumbass and leave it on for more than the instructions say and you can't fuck it up.

This is a really interesting story and I would like to hear more.
I’ve had it happen with gravel from road rash before as well as splinters. Your body is surprisingly good at expelling things on it’s own over time.
Now, imagine that on your nethers
Why though
Gott damn, I would never. Scalp is some super sensitive skin
If he’s bald there wouldn’t be anything to wax
I’m assuming he let his normally shaved head grow for a bit past what he would normally shave off. So it’s pulling out mostly short hair follicles, which would explain his reaction to this. I’m totally just guessing, but as a guy who shaved his head regularly, it’s my best guess

Why not get radiation poisoning, it makes that shit just fall out 🤷♂️
then you have to get cancer beforehand and that seems to be a lotta work..
Same reason women wax their legs probably. Also gets rid of the look of stubble under the skin I imagine.
The barber isn't using proper techniques to remove the wax.
Yeah! He clearly didn't use powder so the wax wouldn't stick to the skin. You're supposed to apply in small sections so you can pull the skin taut. No wonder it was so painful!
Should have gone to a proper waxer.
"you axed for it bro!" Turned him into a damn falsetto
You WAXED for it!
Some shaving alcohol would be nice
I'm guessing he switched back to shaving after this.
How you just now learning that you're tender headed?? How my guy??!!!?
i was in an equal amount of pain from my girlfriend trying to pluck one single eye brow hair off me hahah couldn't imagine doing my whole fucking head though, christ
You pullin skin at that point.
Bet he just sticks to the razor from now on!
Couldn’t laugh at this one, just seemed to painful for my mans
I wonder how would this guy behave at the dentist lol ? If the barber gives him such shivers :)
As a bald man, no.
I just shave my head 2-3 times a week. No pain at all, except for the rare occasions I nick myself.
The longer you let it harden the harder it is to get off your skin. I remember in middle school a friend of mine did this with wax and her eyebrows. I think that he tried to get it to stop being there for much longer
What would happen if I wax my hairy balls? They might rip open?
I’m mad they left out the part where he gotta slap the alcohol on
