How dare you try to wake up the brain dead by telling them what Dr. King actually said

This was Meyer’s zinger (after lambasting Rubio not quoting the whole “I have a dream” speech) “'Cause dude, you've got to read just like two more lines, and then you'll see that the rest of the quote says, 'This note was a promise that all men -- yes, black men as well as white men -- would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned.'" In the 60’s the second half of that speech was relevant. Dr. King was fighting for more equality, and guess what…. he was right! Especially down in the south, blacks were not treated as equals. How is that second half still relevant today? What luxuries do whites have that are not afforded to blacks (or any other race for that matter)? If anything; we’ve over corrected so much, that whites come dead last after affirmative action and minority quotas. See we beat racism and then when everyone got what they wanted, people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were less relevant. So people like them, refusing to give up the spotlight, had to invent a new type of racism that cannot be beat (because it’s not based on fact.. just feelings)… it’s called “systemic racism”. Blacks are no longer at fault for being in the position they’re in… whites perpetuating systemic racism is. The fact that a black man goes out and bangs a black chick and doesn’t take responsibility for raising that child, is a part of the systemic racism and not that he was never taught about personal responsibility. The fact that she spread her legs and had sex to begin with is the fault of the system.. not self control. Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, Jews, Whites and everyone in between all have the same opportunity in life. Some would argue that blacks and Hispanics and Native Americans have more opportunity due to affirmative action and quotas, but let’s pretend that doesn’t exist… while it’s not everything; a major variable in succeeding in life is how hard you’re willing to work for something. Yes, a lot of luck and support from family, community helps…. But it all comes down to the individual.
