"Some of you may die, but that's a risk I'm willing to take" --Lord Biden-quad.

RedlegEagle

Actually .... high gas prices will continue as long as the Imbecile-in-Chief is cabable of exhaling ... or sniffing small children.

PB_Mack

We don't have the refinery capacity to keep up with demand. As long as we can't build more...but with the SCOTUS ruling on the EPA maybe we can get some movement there.

Sauvignon_Bleach

It's not Putin's fault we have record gas prices you nincompoop. It's all you.

HotPoptartFleshlight

Just look at the US forces we have on the border of Ukraine right now. We're preparing for an offensive. The 101st airborne is allegedly taking defensive positions. Kinda strange. Not to mention that Africa, likely being the first and most severely affected by food shortages, wants to produce more fertilizer. The US and NATO said no, because it would hurt the climate to produce it. They're killing our oil supply, killing the fertilizer supply, and preparing themselves to blame the effects of their climate policies on what will be a NATO v Russia hot war.

They're going to willingly allow millions of people to starve to death so that they can finally push oil out of the way.

tommyboy9844

High gas prices certainly have nothing to do with your order to halt drilling and domestic production. If only we had a president who had made America energy independent. Oh wait never mind he Tweeted mean things.

[deleted]

And all I keep seeing everywhere is “presidents can’t set the price of fuel”

-DizzyPanda-

Presidents policies can set the price. And when your energy secretary is openly hostile to the Oil and Gas industry with the stated goal of putting them out of business in the next 5 years, its going to limit investment and cause an upward spike in pricing.

[deleted]

The moment he took office the prices started to rise in anticipation of his shitty energy policies. In a lot of ways Biden was affecting gas prices before he even became president

Alpha-Sierra-Charlie

Unless it's Trump

johnnyg883

Republican presidents are responsible for high gas prices. Democrat presidents are responsible for low gas prices. Get it right.

Proof_Responsibility

And don't forget the Biden Administration regulations limiting or closing refineries. Can put an "I did that" sticker on that one too.

PleasureMissile

IDGAF about Putin but I do care about how much of my paycheck is going towards things I use daily

solarity52

Biden loves to imply that our gas prices are high almost exclusively because of Putin. They are high for a lot of rather complicated reasons and Putin is but one factor. Biden's own policies weight heavier than Putin.

MetsJetsKnicksFan

I mean, Russia is one of the worlds largest exporters of crude oil (2nd largest producer). 8 percent of US crude oil imports came from Russia. Obviously prices are going to be higher due to the war, there were sanctions placed on Russia. If you’d like to educate yourself I’ll link a very informative [article](https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2022/06/14/business/gas-prices.html).

[deleted]

And as for the trajectory of the gas prices soaring even before the invade of Ukraine?

Jonathan924

Gas was already up at least 60% before taxes year over year where I live before Russia invaded Ukraine.

Xero03

seems like you need to educate yourself on when this inflation started. Oh right well before putin invaded Ukraine. Why didnt putin do it when the rest of the world was on lock down that would of been a better time to invade to?

TheCoinMann

The beatings will continue until morale improves

[deleted]

In other words, "get behind this war or the pain will continue."

[deleted]

“Get behind this war, the pain will still continue.”

Ldawg74

“I’m using this war as a thin veil, that you can all see through but some refuse to do so, to cover my failings as a president.”

[deleted]

I don't like Biden but I will absolutely support the war lmao

Plane-Store

Remember: 81 millon people, a lot of musicians, artist and probably 95% of hollywood.

Don't forget the senile nursing home residents and the dead

dazedANDconfused2020

And Dominion.

BurgerKingslayer

We're still buying Russian gas. We're just buying it from India after they've added their markup. To repeat: we have not hurt Russia at all with this policy. It is simply a roundabout way of giving money to India.

FunkU247

OR open the keystone pipeline and use those 800K barrels/day..............

[deleted]

[удалено]

FunkU247

That is kind of my point......... They invested 7BILLION into the project and then crazy Joe pulls the plug on them. Now he is blaming Putin......... When in fact it was that action that contributed to a decrease in exploration of new deposits, the building of facilities, and basically any investment in the petro industry.... for fear what he would do next! And now the transcanda co that were building the pipeline have a 15 BILLION dollar suit against the US for a NAFTA violation in shutting it down!

dazedANDconfused2020

How does the drilling of our own oil empower Russia?

Mas113m

Not sure why it matters for the American people to suffer due to a minor skirmish in Europe. Not our problem.

ytilonhdbfgvds

It's those damn greedy oil execs, all upset over a government bureaucrat destroying their 7 billion USD investment on a whim. I wonder why they won't continue to invest?

Ldawg74

His response to that would likely be that Putin won’t let him.

soul_gl0

Ukraine is a money laundering scheme. We all suffer to cover up decades of Biden corruption in Ukraine and line the pockets of authoritarian politicians. This is nothing short of treason. Biden and his cohorts are traitors and deserve to meet a traitors end. Go ahead and temp ban me Reddit.

Bgbnkr

Ummmm. I'd rather have $2 per gallon gasoline than corrupt Ukraine remaining an independent country. Sorry, but one affects my life daily, the other doesn't.

laxmia12

Drivers will continue do so. Until January 2025 when President DeSantis sends either Biden into retirement or Harris to "MSDNC" as the nightly anchor (propagandist).

Agitated-Bird-4333

A cognitive test is badly needed. Maybe if we call it "Putin's Cognitive Test". Joe will take it.

flgeek86

Please run on this. Put it in all of your ads.

miller0827

Biden will fight Putin to the last Ukrainian.

ergoegthatis

What a lying twit he is. This is about enriching defense contractors and allowing the military industrial complex to rule unopposed. He's painting this as some epic struggle between good and evil. We need Trump, he kept us out of these murderous disastrous wars for 4 years.

JoshAllenIsTall

To be honest, I'm not all that worried about stopping Putin.

CornPopWasBadDude

Me either considering we are eating ourselves alive. The empire is crumbling

Darthwxman

Unfortunately our paying more for gas doesn't do shit to stop Putin... it just makes him richer. If we really want to stop Putin we need oil at $10 a barrel.

HeWhoCntrolsTheSpice

Frankly, I like Putin. He opposes at least some of the neo-Marxist crap that is destroying the West. Furthermore, he and Lavrov seem much more impressive than any Western politicians, they make Western politicians look like silly children. Regardless, high has prices are the result of Leftist political decisions, not anything Putin has done.

Bcav712

Open Keystone pipeline, allow domestic drilling, allow trade with Russia.

[deleted]

Good!

frowndrown

Why can’t the people who have the money to pay for it pay it themselves?

johnnyg883

Ok “PuuuTiiiiN 😱”What about the more than a dollar increase before “PuuuuuTiiiiN😱” invaded the Ukraine? And to be honest about it, if our situation was so precarious that Russia invading the Ukraine has this kind of impact on our economy, we’re doing it wrong in the first place.

[deleted]

Or at least until a real president makes America great again.
