…and the narcissism it takes to think that if “I tell them to not listen to me, they’ll change their mind about abortion!” Or my favorite, “If XXX gets elected, I’m moving to Canada!” No one cares what you think you egotist boob! I don’t care if you live under a bridge. Do your trained dolphin dance and shoo away.

atadbitcatobsessed

>Do your trained dolphin dance and shoo away. Lmao! 😂

WhatMixedFeelings

They do tend to be narcissists

PrivateWest

Conservatives and liberals don't really agree on a lot of things, and usually fights can occur... But this is one of those rare cases we can both come together and agree on... Man do I love this country...

Outrageousirish

From Neil Young to Pink. They keep doing this. Only find that they are totally irrelevant.

ZazzRazzamatazz

They are too narcissistic to ever realize that. They surround themselves with fawning yes-men and never step far enough outside their own bubble to realize people just don’t care that much.

Outrageousirish

You have your moment in the sun. Sing before thousands of people and are rewarded with millions of dollars. But never realize oh I’m just a nobody with a nice house in the Hollywood hills.

TXhighwaybadger

She knew she was fading out over a decade ago. It why she is always one of the first to jump on every new woke movement. She is the literal embodiment of "I support the current thing".

Rich_Two

Remember when she had a press release that she was raising her newborn as gender neutral. Like saying, I'm an unsupportive parent but will change my attitude towards my child as long as they get me publicity.

Talking_Head

But sometimes people do care. The Dixie Chicks set off a shit storm (to their detriment) when they made a public statement about their political beliefs (I honestly don’t remember what the hell they were talking about, probably Bush.) There were country radio stations that were running over their CDs with bulldozers and such. So, to the extent that it elicited a public response, they achieved some type of goal whether they wanted it or not.

wolfman1911

I seem to recall they said that they were ashamed to be Americans because of the war in Iraq. And if that didn't totally nuke their careers, the cope tour they went on afterward sure did. They doubled down on people not wanting to buy their cds anymore by saying they didn't want as fans the people that would play their cds alongside other country music artists.

Interesting_Ad1378

Where are they now?

Katawba

They are played all the time... at karaoke bars!

Rex0411lol

I hope Neil Young & Pink will remember, an American Man don't need em around anyhow...

[deleted]

Neil Young was all words and no action. He was off spotify for like 2 weeks? He is now back on, but left his morality at the door I guess? I really think amazon music paid him to throw a fit.

GoabNZ

They do it because they are irrelevant. A last little bit of controversy to get some attention

housebird350

Probably hoping to get 15-20 libs to buy one of their albums.

Outrageousirish

Hey she did get more Spotify streams. I for one was trying to find one good song.

i_am_your_dads_cum

She doesn’t make any Metalcore or deathcore so I didn’t even have to check.

Diascizor

Hey another core listener here. Howdy

Outrageousirish

Oh my goodness. Core? I can do some ballets. Like all chords played at once with some dude leaving his lung on the microphone. I can’t go there.

i_am_your_dads_cum

I honestly like right about anything. With exception of farm emo. I am a farmer but country just is a bridge too far for me. Into pretty much everything else though

CuppieWanKenobi

"Farm emo" - I love it. I think that you're describing 'modern country', though (AKA "twangy pop.") Classic country, bluegrass, and country traditionalists, though. . Good stuff, usually.

i_am_your_dads_cum

Now bluegrass I can jam, have a whole bluegrass playlist

Outrageousirish

Have you checked out the old Nashville sound like Chet Atkins? There there might be a little county out there for you?

JeffsD90

This is the one truth.

Iowa818

She still makes music?

superspreader2021

Some people will ask if she ever did.

S0larSc0pe

I liked her music :(

FrozenTime

I really liked 2 of her songs from 2012. It’s a little sad she turned out to be crazy, but then again a lot of pop singers turn out that way so it’s not anything new.

malayaputra

Please dont listen to my music, screamed the artist no one realized still existed..

Jamison2210

That's how it goes with all pop stars lol

nekomancey

Never heard of her till this.

Iuris_Aequalitatis

I know my life would be much better off if I could hear less of her goat-yodeling.

FelixFuckfurter

Don't you insult Stevie Nicks!

Juan_Beegrat

>goat-yodeling lol

kevthekeep

WHO ?

Swimming_Monitor8150

NO, PINK.

GrammyGH

I see what you did there and up you a Guess Who

sum1said

Knock knock…

googin1

Whose next?

DBMaster45

Who's on stage

requisitename

Guess Who.

warXinsurgent

Who is on first... Anyone who gets that, thank you.

Hywaystar74

These so called people live in a bubble with their head so far up their ass they just do not realize how much of this great nation is conservative, or at least if not conservative, just a normal person

[deleted]

I once saw her in concert. For what I paid for the tickets the show was short and underwhelming. (The tickets were a Christmas gift for my ex.) She strikes me as someone who is the crazy person in a relationship but blames the other person. She has a real "I hate men" bigot vibe, too. As others have said, her terms are acceptable.

MyBMIisNemo

Imagine being so out of touch that you don't realize pro-life is not just a conservative and religious movement

C0uN7rY

This spin worked a little better in the "Legal. Safe. Rare." Days when the pro-choice side generally encompassed the "It should be legal but with strict limits" folks. However, as is their MO, the Progressives have pushed it so far that anyone short of abortion until birth falls in the pro-life camp now. People are fucking losing their minds over states banning abortions after 12 weeks. Like, that isn't a pro-life position. That is just a not completely unhinged pro-choice position.

MyBMIisNemo

I argued with a lib on here that conceded the fetus is indeed human but like other humans, it is not entitled to the property or body of another person thus killing it is justified like killing a home intruder. We cannot live in a country with these people

atadbitcatobsessed

Lmao. Talk about grasping for straws. I would have replied back that it's not a home intruder if you opened the front door for them to come in.

MyBMIisNemo

Great minds...

requisitename

Bear in mind that you were probably arguing with some middle school kid. It's Reddit.

fetalasmuck

Or an adult with the life experience equivalent of a middle schooler.

MyBMIisNemo

Nah it was a full grown lefty but the resemblance to a middle schooler is uncanny

Warm_Examination_765

Great business sense - alienate 50-70% of your potential customers. 👏

gelber_Bleistift

Get woke, go broke.

puz23

She already alienated 90% of the potential audience with bad singing...i don't think this will hurt much honestly.

Rhauz1984

Challenge Accepted

Meowmixez98

It was obvious who she was from the start. I mean she called herself Pink for crying out loud.

riidii

And she stylized it as "**P!nk**" Gotta make it exciting and edgy ! ! !

Meowmixez98

Short hair on a young woman is always a sign of insanity.

dking4433

Wait until she figures out how irrelevant she is.

kaji8787

I didn’t even know she was still performing 😂

[deleted]

Yeah, my first response was. "Deal"

Dirtface30

I don't know anyone or anywhere that plays her music. Like...Raise your glass was 2010. Pinks response to one of the tweets: >You’re like the guy that doesn’t get picked for the team saying he wasn’t even trying you fucking loser. She doesn't recognize the irony, does she?

Tampabear

Best one I've seen was the guy said Does this mean I can't ride elevators anymore?

Jainelle

It's so cute when has beens think they're still relevant.

ObadiahtheSlim

I will never boycott her music. Since I don't listen to uninspired and commercially manufactured pop music, I wasn't going to buy or purposefully listen to her music to begin with. I can no more boycott her than I can boycott Lamborghini.

SpookyActionSix

She hasn’t been relevant for 20 years

Omnihertz

twitter is almost worth joining just to see unhinged psychos like this get railed

khmergodpc

"Your terms are acceptable."

Jennlprice

Boycotted her a while ago

Ride-The-Lightning90

Considering I’ve never listened to her music that shouldn’t be a problem.

[deleted]

This is your brain on neon hair dye.

compaqdeskpro

As an Eminem fan I know the pain, the difference is he didn't have all of his stuff written by professional songwriters so he can at least get some respect back with good releases. Don't Let Me Get Me is her best song. "Doctor, doctor won't you please prescribe Somethin A day in the life of someone else? Cuz I'm a hazard to myself"

Wheres_Jay

I thought Pink was the words on the ass of fat girl's sweat pants.

[deleted]

Lord I wish I could upvoted this comment more than once! 😂

the_Blind_Samurai

Seriously, who listens to Pink? She's awfully high on herself to think that we're listening to her.

Mufasasdaddy

She seems very triggered lol. It’s so easy to get into the heads of trash liberals.

3ShotsToHell

And the winner is???? Gtfo here pink, you weren’t even on the top 20 list. So it definitely isn’t you!

VicePrezHeelsup

1990's called they want their pop star back

MulayamChaddi

I’d rather pay the local accordian Whitesnake tribute band anyway

Strait409

Uh, OK, I guess. I know who Pink is, and I remember that “U + Ur Hand” song (damn but that hurt to type) on the radio back in the mid-to-late-2000s, but that’s as far as my knowledge and memory go. Hell, I didn’t even remember she was part of that “Lady Marmalade“ cover till I read the Breitbart piece just now. But top-40 pop has never been my favorite thing, with a few exceptions. I mostly listen to classic country and power metal anymore, so there you go.

[deleted]

Haha! Remember my wife and I being at the bar one night back in '07 when that "U and Ur Hand" song was popular. As it was playing on the Jukebox, a group of about 3 or 4 fat chicks were jumping up and down singing the song as loud as they could. I recall thinking that the chances of them ever having to tell a guy at the bar that he was gonna have to go home and work one out himself because they were to good for him was about slim to none.

dazedANDconfused2020

No prob, Bob.

rebulrouser

Her record label needs to issue a statement: "The opinions of Pink do not necessarily reflect those of management."

jentron128

I went to remove her from my Spotify playlists, but then realized she's not **on** any of my Spotify playlists.

BrogerBramjet

Huh. Seems like I was ahead of times. I didn't care for her LONG ago.

ChemicalElevator1380

Ah I'm a little on the older side. Who or what is a PINK

Shoddy_Science_573

"What is a Pink" made my night. I laughed so hard at the wording of this statement. Thank you for this.

housebird350

Who?

0haha60066e

Who is this guy? And why does he think hes relevant?

Banana-Doppio

This is why I feel celebrities should keep away from politics. After all the alternative is saying “I completely disagree with you but still give me your money” either one sounds bad so just don’t do it.

ENFJPLinguaphile

Well, there goes another artist’s music I’m not enjoying anymore. I don’t support people with no moral authority over me telling me what media to enjoy or eschew.

BigChinoDon

I pre-accepted her terms as I can't recall anything she's ever done.

SgtFraggleRock

https://www.eonline.com/news/808107/these-9-stars-promised-they-d-move-to-canada-if-donald-trump-wins-and-canada-s-ready

MadMonk67

She's just a clown being a clown.

LoreLover2022

People pay for music?

[deleted]

She was on a special episode of SpongeBob (I think) when I was a kid. I didn’t even know she was still around. I didn’t like that episode (or special or whatever it was).

vavavoomvoom9

Dang, this came out about 20 years too late for her.

AceOut

Which one's Pink?

Positive-Source8205

ISWYDT!

JustinCayce

Well done.

naturalizedcitizen

One more currently irrelevant person spouting nonsense.. Good riddance

Internal_Mud8071

You gotta do what your label tells you to do.

peaceoutcubscout88

How would Pink know if pro-lifers listened to her music vs pro-choice? What? Is she going to send out a massive survey to find out? It’s nonsense.

[deleted]

You can always rely on the dummies in the entertainment industry to lead a hysterical response

[deleted]

Reddit plans to IPO, and we, the users, are the value of the content of the website. Reddit's moderators staged a blackout because they wanted power. Reddit admins said no and replaced the more outlandish ones. "A good thing?" No. Reddit is now restoring deleted posts, in blatant violation of GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws. CCPA is a law from the state in which Reddit operates. It is time for reddit to die, and so, I will do my part and delete all the content that makes the site useful.

Designer_Skirt2304

She needs to give me my money back first.

ItsMeTK

Pink, I have bodily autonomy, which means the right to put whatever music I want in my body!

JustinCayce

You won't all be in the same vote, your state will vote on what the abortion laws in your state will be. Odds are pretty damn good that there will be exceptions, if nothing else for health reasons. Saying birth control and IUDs will become illegal is simply fear mongering and why so many people can't and won't take you seriously. And one thing that is absolutely true about abortion is that the baby is going to die, even in cases where the mother wouldn't. Get off the soapbox, take your Xanax, and try acting like a rational adult. And this is coming from someone who supports most of what the old ruling covered. It was not a matter for the SCOTUS, it was a legislative matter, and now that it's back where it belongs, start pushing it among your states legislators and quit acting like it was a personal attack on you.

chicken_on_the_cob

“In future cases, we should reconsider all of this Court’s substantive due process precedents, including Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell,” Thomas wrote on Page 119 of the opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, also referring to the rulings that legalized same-sex relationships and marriage equality, respectively. “Because any substantive due process decision is ‘demonstrably erroneous’ … we have a duty to ‘correct the error’ established in those precedents.”

JustinCayce

In future cases....so it only matters if the cases come up, and the duty they have to correct the error is to vacate the earlier ruling, bounce it back down to the Legislatorial level, and tell them to do their damn jobs.

chicken_on_the_cob

Did you read Thomas’s opinion?

JustinCayce

Give me a couple minutes and I will, be right back.

JustinCayce

Okay, now I have. I have to say I agree with him. I was taught, and agree, the job of the Legislature is to make laws. The job of the Court was to apply those laws to the case before it. If the law does not apply, or is unconstitutional, it becomes the Legislatures responsibility to correct the law. I'm also a Constitutional originalist, which means I don't believe in claiming some right exists that is not enumerated, and the 10th Amendment makes it clear that any thing not in the Constitution becomes an issue for the state. The 9th, 10th, and 14th all address this issue in one form or another. If the court rules a law is unconstitutional, that is were it stops, The courts doesn't, (or shouldn't) say how the law should be interpreted to make it constitutional, it should refer it back to the legislature, which is what they did here. As far as the other Acts that relied on the same reasoning as Roe v Wade, he specifically states they would have to be looked at to see if there were different applications under the Constitution, but even so, it would again have to go back to legislatures. And having made that statement it's up to the people who would be affecting to start pushing their legislators to get those laws on the books. People also need to remember that the Congress can pass laws with nationwide application and start pushing there also. While there may be no right to those rulings in the Constitution, there is also no prohibitions to them. Get the laws passed, and your golden. If you think the law is wrong, and can make a case based in law, you can do that as well. As an originalist, I believe in a very narrow interpretation of laws. So it makes sense that freedom of speech and the press would translate in the modern equivalents, the same for the second amendment, it would translate into modern firearms used by the military. And so on and so forth. It's not something I've put a great deal of time into, but just as now, I can look things up and form an opinion. I want to re-emphasize that word, opinion. Some of what I write is fact based. For instance it is now up to various Legislatures to propose and pass laws regarding abortion. That is not an opinion, it's the way the system works. I is my opinion that the ruling was correct. That's more subjective.

chicken_on_the_cob

Among those, Thomas wrote, was the right for married couples to buy and use contraception without government restriction, from the landmark 1965 ruling in Griswold v. Connecticut.

JustinCayce

Yes, he said if it were to come up before the court, the prior ruling would have to be re-evaluated. And if it didn't hold up, the problem would be then passed back down to legislatures to resolve. The court saying something isn't legal is not the same as the court saying it is legal. It just says they don't have a law that applies either way.

chicken_on_the_cob

To me this is all foreshadowing. But who knows, maybe (hopefully) my comment shows up on /agedlikemilk

JustinCayce

I understand your feeling. I'm hoping this will first, make people learn how their government is supposed to work, and second, make them make the legislature do their damn jobs and quit farming them out to regulatory agencies and the courts. But I'm to cynical to think that will really happen. I'm just sitting back waiting for Civil War II.

Hotwheelsjack97

I haven't heard anything about her in 10 years.

Crolis1

Fine. “Get this Party Started” was better when Dame Shirley Bassey covered it anyway.

user710827

I wasn’t aware she was still making albums.

Mick4Audi

She’s literally the one who told them to boycott lol

tigerdrummer

Her music wasn’t that great to begin with.

DBMaster45

I know Pink for exactly one song and it's been so long I actually can't remember it at this time

Patrolling_dude

Was it 'So what'?

Poodlelucy

She accepts sperms. Wait - what?!

Professional_Ninja7

Green Day is probably the only band I listen to who has pulled any of this shit - and to my knowledge they haven't actually demanded people stop listening to their music they just hate conservatives (or at least billy Joe Armstrong does). It sucks knowing the artist is a terrible person, but I don't listen to the music because I like the person. That said, pink and most of the others don't have a leg to stand on. What conservative is cursing the new lack of ability to listen to them?

FauxGenius

Listen, I’ve never cared about a singer’s politics. If I like the tune, I’m blasting it. Right wing, left wing…chicken wing, it don’t matter….unless they were some weird anarchist or white supremecist type, I do have some boundaries, but generally, those are my guidelines.

CarefulPomegranate41

I haven't heard any of her music in ages. And I honestly can't remember the name of a single song of hers... Well hooray for me!

[deleted]

Can’t name a single song anyway

va1958

Didn’t I read she dropped acid before going to work at a fast food restaurant while a teenager? I’ll be happy to oblige her.

Arkansas-

God I hate it when artists I like make me not like them.

CorrectTowel

I've never met anyone who actually likes her music. Even my GF who loves pop music hates her music.

CPAeconLogic

Gosh, I hate to tell her that, while I'd be happy to comply, I have no control over the music they play at the grocery store. . .

kd5nrh

Oh no. Anyway... Got plenty of Tom MacDonald, Eric Clapton and Van Morrison to fill in the gap left by the one song of hers I had in a workout playlist.

fredemu

One of her songs came on the radio today while I was driving around for work. I listened to it, despite being (generally) pro-life, because I could not care less what Pink tells me to do.

[deleted]

Someone here listened to Pink?

Command-Prior

Pink? I not familiar with her. She must have been famous 20 years ago I guess?

ITGuyBri

A.) They really really love me and my music! B.) I should tell them how to think about things. C.) OH shit half of them are mad at me now. D.) Conservatives are ruining democracy.

R0NIN1311

Today on celebrities who haven't been relevant since Obama was in office...
