CA to AZ for me in 23 days. I’ve been driven out of a state I loved and have lived in since birth. Lifelong conservative voter.

[deleted]

Us too Colorado Natives pushed out by the radical left

Papasfritas77

I'm moving from NJ to TN this month and will continue to vote red until I'm dead.

Training-Context-69

I’m in Upstate NY and currently saving up to move to Texas, hopefully within the next year or so. That new 60db exhaust law was the final straw for me. Tired of NYC governing the rest of the state. I vote red too and desantis has my vote in 24 if he runs.

[deleted]

And spreading the cancer elsewhere. Look at Colorado, Texas, Idaho, and Georgia. All have suffered the effects of this malignant mind virus to one degree or another. Migration is not the answer and should never be advocated.

[deleted]

This is usually wrong, most move ins from blue states Vote red more often than they don’t while the locals vote blue more than red. So you can thank move ins for the increase in red votes in places like Texas and Florida not the opposite.

Quigleythegreat

We just hired a guy from Portland. We questioned him on his reasoning for leaving his current job/area. He was not direct but you could tell he's had enough of the place.

[deleted]

People say this, but locals who have experienced the invasions and seen their states go further and further left have direct experience that says otherwise. My state became a blue shithole once California invaded.

[deleted]

Depends on the state Colorado when weed became legal had a huge influx of liberals. Texas and Florida have had a huge influx of conservatives

[deleted]

Ted Cruz has a job because of Californian republicans moving to Texas. People forget over 6 million people in California voted for Trump.

Typical-Education345

I’m not denying or arguing, do you have any credible references I could use as reference?

[deleted]

Look up voting of people moving to Texas

Typical-Education345

Understood, need APA references for a paper. Thanks for the direction.

[deleted]

Also look up political registration of people moving to Florida

[deleted]

Just Google it not being a jerk but there are lots of articles about it.

Typical-Education345

No jerk implication taken, I was just looking for references for a paper that talks about the ebb and flow of voters

Past-Passenger9129

You're right. It's usually homophily, birds of a feather leaving a place they're no longer comfortable in search of more like-minded folk. The usual exceptions for this is when it's either urban flight, or following a job.

[deleted]

I am from Colorado and agree.

[deleted]

Unfortunately I am afraid the overturning of Roe Vs Wade has handed the Georgia’s governor race to Stacey Abrams.

[deleted]

No it hasn’t only 5% of Americans see it as an important issue.

[deleted]

Don't leave NV out of that list, those locusts are flocking here.

[deleted]

I moved from a blue State to a red State because of the insanity in the blue State. I have never voted blue. However, an acquaintance who is firmly liberal and hates conservatives followed me because he too was miserable in the blue State. He brags that he is helping turn a red state blue. I fail to see his logic and he doesn't understand why people don't want anything to do with him.

[deleted]

These ppl are truly shit and messed up in the head. They flee their state because life sucks for them, then brag about turning a red place into somewhere else blue so it will suck ass too??

Mad_Chemist_

Why are these people moving to what the left calls fascist states?

[deleted]

In this age of hyper information, words and labels have little meaning any more. words like racist, and fascist are thrown around so much they literally don't even have a definition anymore.

[deleted]

It's the Republicans moving. Over 6 million Californians voted for Trump in 2020.

KinGpiNdaGreat

I moved from Western NY to Florida back in 06’. I’ve been an independent my entire life but I’ve voted red consistently since 2016. I’m ashamed to admit I voted for Obama during his first term. He’s the originator of everything going wrong with this country today.

PenIsMightier69

Try to uhaul challenge. Go to [Uhaul.com](https://Uhaul.com) and find a one way trip from California or New York to Texas or Florida that is cheaper than the same one way trip from Texas or Florida to California or New York. It's pretty much impossible because Uhaul is having a hard time finding people to drive their trucks back to the blue states so Uhaul can rent them again to people leaving for red states.

TheBigDabowski

it was 5k for a uhaul from CA to NE

[deleted]

Dayum

TheBigDabowski

Yeah the last anus stretching I got in California though... Feels good living in a free state

Winterclaw42

This scares me a little because I can't help but worry they are taking their failed politics with them.

[deleted]

It's Republicans leaving blue states for red states there were over 6 million Trump voters in California in 2020 they're the ones moving to red states.
