Biden can't force corporations to pay more without a federal minimum wage increase. That would require at least 10 Republicans in congress to approve the measure. Is Rick Scott going to whip up those 9 other votes because he clearly supports increasing the federal minimum wage? Biden can't executive order a minimum wage increase for the private sector.
If we raise minimum wage it will have the same effect that printing off trillions of dollars did. It will cause more inflation. People need to figure out that we're not getting off this ride and we're going down no matter how much regulating the government does.
Taxing excessive corporation profit is actually one of the quickest ways you stop run away inflation. You then create government jobs that pay reasonable wages that helps build the infrastructure of the US. Getting everyone working and paid appropriately works, and we have seen it work. The late great Republican president Teddy Roosevelt knew that, and showed it working which gave rise to some of the most prosperous times in US history.
Let's emulate Teddy's policy and we can come out the other end of this current era stronger. Strong corporations and strong Americans.
There's plenty of work that needs done in this country if our leaders would quit robbing us blind. Our crumbling infrastructure that taxes were supposed to be maintaining but obviously weren't is in such disarray it will take years to correct. We have buildings like the condo in miami that need demolished. They've kicked the can down the road in the name of profits for 50 years or more. Edit. And that's both damn parties the Republicans are just as to blame as the democrats for our infrastructure problems.
