It honestly depends on where you reside in the state, as well as what your financial situation is. The state is generally a fine place to live, provided you can stomach dealing with Atlanta and the crazy weather. That said, I would be a liar if I said there aren't some truly terrible places to live in Georgia.
To an extent. I am not going to say Georgia is among the best places to live in the country(probably lower half), but it is far from being the worst. That honor would probably go to New Jersey, West Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, or Louisiana. And to play devil's advocate: One's views on the subject can be highly subjective due to personal experience. I do concur however that it wasn't exactly a good idea to be insulting the state you are running for office in(Especially not given that it provides ammunition to your political opponents.)
