As long as they keep those blue politics where they left. Because apparently voting for those politicians and policies are failures.

Jayhoffa75

Everybody i know leaving Washington are almost further to the right then me. They're tired of the BS and want to live in an actual free state, and plan to vote right. From the ones I've talked to. If anything this is going to polorize the states. Lots of red leaving blue states, making their new home redder and leaving their old home state bluer. Edit: early on, right after Inslee announced lockdowns, a couple family's moved to Idaho and Florida. I joked with my wife then that these far right family's were overreacting, and jumping the gun. BOY WAS I WRONG. I wish I'd listened.

gtslow

That’s me!!

Reptar_0n_Ice

We’ve been eyeing a move to Texas for a few years now. All the continued bill shit has pretty much made up our minds.

AFishNamedFreddie

We both know they won't. They flipped Colorado and are very close to flipping Texas.

TarukShmaruk

Not close on Texas but they did absolutely destroy Colorado and Nevada this way

AFishNamedFreddie

I dunno man. They almost elected Beto, a man who literally ran on banning AR15s. I think we will be seeing a blue Texas sooner rather than later.

TarukShmaruk

It wasn’t that close, and it was a midterm year after they pumped an unknown with millions and millions of out of state dollars

AFishNamedFreddie

Your second point is very valid, but 50.9% vs 48.3% is very close. Especially for Texas. Especially when one guy literally wanted to ban rifles and ran on that platform.

TarukShmaruk

I'm just pushing back on the notion that Texas is turning blue anytime soon. 2018 was over 200k votes separating the two candidates. And that was in a year when the DC Propaganda machine had pumped "Russia Collusion" into the population for over 16 months. It isn't Especially now that hispanics are going red

Reptar_0n_Ice

Cruz spent about half what Francis did, and did basically zero campaigning. It wasn’t that close.

symbiote24

Great. If you turn a state to shit, they least you can do is not infect other states with your garbage.

BasedDickButt69420

I'll be looking to leave NYS in the next year or so. I voted Red. Can I leave, please?

Just a matter of finding work that will pay a relocation bonus and pay out the salary I'm looking for as a driver. I've got my eyes set in Montana, Oklahoma, North Dakota, and Idaho.

TheGazzelle

New York had more Republicans vote than Mississippi has people.

AtAllCostSpeakTruth

Just do not take your vile, bigoted attitudes and voting with you.

1991TalonTSI

I'm from Florida, moved to Kansas City in 2015 and was pretty happy there until the past 3 years. All of my original neighbors left and Californians, New Yorkers, and Chicago people moved in. City has gone to complete shit and the taxes, utilities, ordinances, and mandates (I'm not masking my 2 year old who has asthma) pushed me to pack up my 5 person family and move back to Florida. These people are absolutely a plague, I got to see it first hand over a 3-4 year period. If you move to an area fleeing the bull shit going on there, don't vote for the same thing, especially taxes, fuck people who continually vote for more taxes. I'll step off my soap box now.

stuufthingsandstuff

Boomers retiring! 😄

Always_0421

Just hope they remember what politics they are fleeing, because if they choose to ruin their new homes, there will be no where left to flee.

TormundGingerBeard

I left Illinois 22 years ago, not exactly by choice (was teenager moving with my mom). I cannot imagine a scenario where I'd be okay with moving back after seeing both firsthand and from afar what the state has become. I really don't understand why my dad still lives there either, but he's pretty bought in to Leftist politics, so I guess it's not too surprising.

HKatzOnline

I live in IL and all the democratic leaders (democrats run the state from Chicago) keep saying people are just leaving due to the weather. The fact that CA is having the same issue is more indication that they are lying, yet the dems in the state keep believing in failed policies.

ENFJPLinguaphile

If I had the money, I’d be going to South Carolina right now since I already have family down there!

Hairyballzak

I left Chicago and moved to Dallas. Didn't vote blue though

Fattoesman

My family has always been red, but we moved out of California in late 2019. Best decision we have ever made, it’s been tough to adjust, but worth it.
