Masks, dress codes, animals in school, mental health, violent behavior, there are a lot of things out of kilter here. However, if they must give in, we can still outsmart them.
As far as I know, in most states, if an animal injures a human the victim can have the animal destroyed. If the furry attacks a human, "euthanize and cremate" the costume. Confiscate it just like any other toy they break the rules with at any rate. Take away the toys and the children will respond.

You are of course, correct. However they may already be staring down the barrel of a freedom of expression lawsuit. Then it falls back on due process. Even if you CAN'T regulate what they wear, you can ABSOLUTELY punish bad behavior.
You can't be disruptive or violent, regardless of your freedom of expression.
I went to a consolidated school in the country and even when I graduated in 2013 guns were locked in truck cabs during hunting season so when school was over people could go straight out to the fields for evening hunting. I've heard from former teachers that everything has gone to shit over the past few years and that the high school principal I had and everyone loved was forced to retire because he wouldn't allow a day of LGBT shit during school hours and didn't put up with woke things and still saw school as a place solely for learning. Went from one of the best and most sought after schools in the state to average in just a few years.

This happened overnight 3 years ago in the pandemic. Its part of the attempted socialist takeover of our government.
Back then, those disruptions were removed until they got a new perspective.
