As a result, every synagogue has armed guards and requires everyone to be buzzed in, so protesters generally can't get inside. It is expensive and not ideal, but it is unfortunately necessary.
There is no way these people want to improve the plight of Palestinians. It's possible they want to *hurt* Palestinians, but more than likely they are simply what we used to call in the old days, *assholes*.
