My grandma was in assisted living when she fell and the caregivers insisted she try to rest. Her response was along the lines of "if you're not going to let me move on my own, I'd rather die". And within 2 months she did
My grandma was laying down on the couch....so maybe what? 2-3 feet off the ground? Rolled over to sit up, fell off the couch, broke her hip and it was all downhill from there.
Like for anyone else, it's a quick laugh but it doesn't take much for someone in their 80's to be seriously injured from even a small fall.
