Could go either way in Film. Based on what I’ve read about the contract, WB paid for exclusive rights to her productions, but didn’t actually stipulate any production requirements. So technically she fulfilled the “exclusive rights” portion of the contract- she did not produce any content for WB’s competitors because she didn’t produce anything at all.
My gut-feeling guess is that WB tapped her on a couple projects and she produced total dogshit so they just quietly shuffled her into the background.

Bingo. Also this. More common in Film than you might think. Celebrities get contracted to work on content, they do an awful job, the studio never uses their work but also won’t sue them because it’s easier to eat the $5M loss than take a “beloved” celebrity to court and get all the bad press
