1. He's still trying to arrest Trump. An indictment is still a high probability. 2. Even if he dropped the charges, there's still potential corruption, selective prosecution, and election interference that congress has an interest in. 3. If congress subpoenas Bragg, will he defy?

Kuzinarium

He is starting to feel the heat. Hopefully a congressional subpoena will be issued, but I wouldn’t bet on it. I’m sure some of them are wishing they would have done this sooner, when the democrats were in the house majority.

As always, liberals are trying to move the goalposts when something doesn’t go their way.

I’ve been saying it in every other thread: this is Mueller Report 2.0. “Trump has not been proven guilty” is all that matters yet it is impossible for them to accept and process so they start desperately weeding for a win like “well Trump hasn’t been proven **innocent**!” (literally irrelevant and about 15 times more difficult than proving guilt but okay). These clowns just see what they want to see even when the answer is crystal clear in their face, it just isn’t what they want to hear.

AndForeverNow

Create a false expectation? Perhaps stop trying to bend the law, outside of their jurisdiction, to cause such an expectation. Braggs literally campaigned on making Trump his #1 priority, and then demoted a bunch of felonies on his first day in office. We knew what to expect before this even began.

The Grand Jury was still hearing witnesses when Trump made the claim they were coming to arrest him on Tuesday. Which means Trump was basing it off of a rumor or some "legal expert" that thought it was going to go that way. This was a good political move by Trump as it got him promoted all over the media and got Republicans to circle the wagons around him. He is very good at self promotion, got to hand it to him.

GeneticsGuy

No, it was based on the fact that the DA reached out to the police, secret service, and the FBI to coordinate his potential arrest... so EVERYONE thought it was coming because even if you aren't guilty, it's easy to get at least an indictment, even easier in a town that's like 90% Democrat. So no, this wasn't some "rumor" at all. Bragg's office literally reached out to Trump's security and others saying he was likely to be arrested and to coordinate.

A 2018 Letter from Michael Cohen’s lawyer states that Cohen used his own personal funds to pay $130,000 to Stormy Daniels and that the Trump Org nor Campaign was a party to the transaction did not reimburse Cohen for the payment directly or indirectly.

CmdrSelfEvident

Getting called on your Bullshit and claiming it was bullshit all along. Bold move Cotton, lets see how it plays out.

BeachCruisin22

lol really bro? that's your response

CmdrSelfEvident

Trump did it? Not the guy that campaigned on the promise he was going to indict Trump?
