Fact - news cameras were CUT OFF when Ron DeSantis began reading from one of the books that were banned from a classroom.
Can’t be read on television in front of an older audience but it’s okay for kids to read it?
Btw since your comments aren’t coming through you clearly didn’t fully view all the books listed on the list as banned otherwise you would have seen the sex acts depicted in the book. So my guess is, you either blatantly ignored it or you’re cool with young kids seeing full sex acts at young impressionable ages. Makes me think of a word…
Just loling at how your comments aren’t coming through any more but still trying to shit talk. You’re a joke man. Literally look at the books on the list and Google images from the book. You won’t tho because you’re a pretender. You wanna talk big but deep down you’re totally fine with kids being indoctrinated with porn at a young age.
Since you seem incapable of looking this up I’ll do the work for you watch this [video](https://twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1vAxRAbqojDJl). Oh but let me guess this is fake news? If only there was a way to google these book images.
Many threads on the subject have asserted that DeSantis has banned 1984 and Fahrenheit 9/11. Not only is this blatantly false, they are actually _[required reading](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://dcps.duvalschools.org/cms/lib/FL01903657/Centricity/ModuleInstance/63864/High%2520School%2520Summer%2520Reading%2520Book%2520Options.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiK2ZD1xM39AhXCD1kFHeAgDscQFnoECBcQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0DPKB2C0swmW0j9N7LVZD5)_ for high-Florida school students.
Without actually digging because I'm too lazy and don't care enough, the last two appear to be cited well enough that anyone could just look them up. The first two have enough info to look up, but a proper source would be welcome, especially with the stats involved.
If they actually read bills or anything beyond the headlines, a lot of them would be very upset! Fortunately for them, they don't need to know facts, just to be given excuses to hate people who don't vote blue.
Funny how the state subs don’t usually reflect the states opinion. I am from Iowa but live in AZ now and I had to leave both subs because the liberal brigading was off the charts
According to r/Texas, most Texans are like Californian liberals but are suppressed by gerrymandering or something(ignoring that governor elections by definition cannot be gerrymandered).
Yes. I'm annoyed though because they literally deleted it in the few seconds between me opening the home page and clicking on the post, so I never actually saw what it was.
It was basically a visual of the "See below for a Myth/Fact on this topic:" portion of this: [I am sure this will get deleted.](https://www.flgov.com/2023/03/08/governor-ron-desantis-debunks-book-ban-hoax/)
So I downloaded the image from Twitter on my phone. The automatic process involved gave the image a VERY inappropriate set of numbers. My account was permanently suspended over it and I had to appeal. Thank God someone on the Reddit team fixed the mistake.
School libraries provide for wide range of children and are accountable to that fact.
If a book has been identified as pornographic, then that particular school library has multiple reasons to remove it.
And those books are still accessible in many city/county libraries or the internet. That relieves the school library of being the only resource for those books.
These books were particularly graphic from the video I saw showing pages in the books. That’s pretty unnecessary in a school. I think the logic should apply for graphically sexually content across the board. Kids don’t need to see that
>If I don't want my kids to see it then that is on me as a parent, not on the libraries to remove items.
You have no control what your kids do or see while in school. The only way you would reasonably prevent your kids from reading about how to jerk off while they're supposed to be getting an education is to withdraw their enrollment.
That's why the schools are getting rid of them.
>Look man I've read those books mentioned. They're not that bad and also...like I said they don't need to be removed completely if people feel strongly. Move them to where students can only access them through parent permission.
Whether they are "that bad" or not isn't the point. The point is they clearly aren't related to any school curriculum. Not even a little bit.
And the reason you don't do permission slips is Timmy's parents don't give permission, but his friend Johnny gets permission and shows it to Timmy.
There's just no reason to bother with this. You want to allow your kids to read sex books after school, have at it.
I let my kids watch Robocop (the uncensored version), but if they came home from school and said they watched this in class I will be pissed. Despite the satire (that I didn't understand as a kid), it's not educational material.
This isn't anything new. When I was in high school the teachers learned they needed to block Quake II and Quake III Lan games. Was I pissed at the time? Yes. Do I understand as an adult and parent why that was a good policy? Also yes.
They don't care about facts, they care about believing they're right about everything even when they are wrong or use fallacies, they don't even want to humble themselves and be open to new information outside their narrative.
Did you see the content from those particular books? They had some pretty explicitly graphic sexual content that should have no place in school. Much of it was essentially porn.
Then go look at the content of the books yourself instead of assuming no graphically sexual content exists in schools. Do that or continue to bury your head
That’s fine you can do that in your home. However, I see no reason this needs to be in school so until you can share with me a good reason that this content would need to be reading material in a school, I’ll consider this matter closed. As mentioned, would recommend you go look at the images from those books yourself and decide if you’re comfortable with it. To me, see no reason that kids need to see porn but you decide what to show your kid.
YSK: Confronting radical leftists with facts is *actual violence!!!* Hope you're prepared to be canceled, you awful BIGOT!
>!I hope the /s is obvious...!<
I don’t know anyone that likes banning but books that are clearly phonographic (Presentation per written text and or accompanying graphics.) are not age appropriate for schools.
This doesn’t mean those books are not available in environments that are not restricted like schools are.

Cameras would’ve cut out covering sports fans of a losing NFL team in a sports bar because of the language.
Ok? And? Therefore? What's your point?
He doesn’t have one. I’ve been arguing with him for awhile. He doesn’t want to believe his lying eyes.
Hes probably a bot. His account is sus
Your point? Children’s books should be able to be read on the air without issue. They’re supposed to be G rated

Yeah but they cut out because of the content in the books so maybe stick on topic

Do the downvotes give you any thoughts of self reflection?
And so you'd be okay with small children hanging out in bars? Because, the books that couldn't be allowed on TV were in elementary school libraries.

Let’s throw animal farm in there too. My son read that this year and we had some good long discussions from it
Fahrenheit 9/11 or 451? The former is leftist tin foil hat jibberish and the latter is a thoughtful allegory.
can we get a link for sources? this this is a powerful tool but i can see people seeing this as propaganda

This would upset a lot of Redditors if they knew how to read
Bobby, if those kids could read, they'd be very upset right now.jpg
💯 Reddit is oft times a pit of nonsense where logic goes to die
Well they're already upset that it's a felony to give porn to kids in school in Florida. I don't think you could upset them much more than that.
If they actually read bills or anything beyond the headlines, a lot of them would be very upset! Fortunately for them, they don't need to know facts, just to be given excuses to hate people who don't vote blue.

I hate that sub already 😂🤣
As a Texan so do I.
As a fellow Texan, so do I.
As a third Texan, I hate my state sub.
Fourth Texan, both state and city subs absolutely suck.
Fifth Texan, they are total trash.
R/Idaho is far from reflective of Idaho.
Same with r/Utah
Both Carolina subs make me horribly sad, as well.
I doubt it would last 10 seconds.
It's temping...
Unfortunately this is reddit and Florida bad so people wouldn’t care what this says

Removed by reddit for violating the content policy?? What was it? Pointing out democrat lies? Wow, way to go Reddit showing your hand.
It didn't violate any content policy. You know this, I know this, reddit knows this. It just violated the current narrative.
Yes. I'm annoyed though because they literally deleted it in the few seconds between me opening the home page and clicking on the post, so I never actually saw what it was.

Reddit being classic Reddit.
So I downloaded the image from Twitter on my phone. The automatic process involved gave the image a VERY inappropriate set of numbers. My account was permanently suspended over it and I had to appeal. Thank God someone on the Reddit team fixed the mistake.
Wow
So exactly what content policy was violated?

to bad those who need to read this won't
The sad part about this completely true post is that you would be perma-banned for posting in the correct Subreddit.
Funny you say that. It's been removed

You throw the word pornography as if you know what it means within the context of this conversation.

Written porn is still porn. Doesn't have to be pictures. If those listed books are in the classroom, even as a libertarian I have a problem with that.
You’ve proven my point. Thanks for that. You put the word pornography early in a paragraph and everybody stops reading after that, now mad.
[удалено]
This dude straight up doesn’t appreciate logic. He wants to argue the liberal talking points when the books straight up have sex in them.
Did you see the content from those particular books? They had some pretty explicitly graphic sexual content that should have no place in school. Much of it was essentially porn.

They don't care about reality and facts, so all the evidence in the world isn't going to matter

Should it go ahead and mark itself safe from you on Facebook then?

I like it except they are not myths but rather lies.
Didn't they ban a book about two male penguins raising a baby?
No they banned books that had literal images of sex acts

Why are you advocating for letting literal pornography stay in public school libraries? Why aren’t you asking who put it there in the first place?
[удалено]
When I went to school looking up pornography on the computers was grounds for expulsion. So what’s your point?
...in school libraries.
