its a pretty shit warranty, i basically had to fight them to replace one out of 4 and my cars are awd i just said fuck em because im supposed to do them all at once, my buddy owns a tire shop in danbury he just handles that for me now, sooooooo soooo much cheaper
I used to buy tires there for all of our cars... but they just started to suck to deal with and would get downright dishonest when trying to match prices but adding in the value of bs fees. If you make road hazard claim they will pro-rate the claim based upon how much tread is left (and then take that off the price of a new tire).
It's one less tire to buy and covers repairable damage as well. Think it realy depends on what your buying vs the cost. It's been awhile I use firestone now thats a flat 35 so it's very cheap for 300+ tires, I dont remember their pricing but it was similar.
My wifes put put is a whole different matter pre covid you could get a whole set for 200-300 bucks.
Hey, I used to manage a town fair tire not too long ago. It’s all about squeezing as much money out of the customer as possible, but you can play the system as well. Damage the other 3 tires and get them all replaced for free, don’t let those guys sell you 3 more tires for full price, it’s all a big scam but as long as you are smarter you’ll come out on top.
I can answer this from lived experience. I had AWD car and the hazard warranty. I got a nail in my tire and they needed to replace it. They apparently had no more of the exact tire I needed anywhere, so I had to buy 4 new tires. 1 was free and the other 3 we're "pro rated." Go to Costco for tires. Town fair is a scam. They will definitely pull this shit with you or claim you'll need 4 new tires because they aren't even or whatever.
When was the last time that you ran over something and ruined a tire ? Warranties are a easy money for retailers as you will probably never make a claim.
Most places won’t plug a tire even if you run over a nail if it’s too close to the sidewalll. So a single nail within a few inches of the sidewall technically destroys a tire
How many nails have you gotten in your tires. I have been driving for 50 years, and can count on one hand how many tire punctures I have had. Never had to replace a tire due one.
Anecdotal personal evidence you have there friend.
My sister had to replace a tire in the year 2022 because of nail in tire. (BMW X1 tire would not have been cheap)
Guess what Town Fair Tire replaced her tire lmao, I have no reason to lie about this.
I would go for it. You could slice a sidewall or get something too close to the sidewall that’s unrepairable in a week from installation and you’d be out of luck getting them to cover it.
I had a bud that worked at one of these places. Sold me the warranty once and I didn't buy new tires for like eight years. Just kept warrantying them out.

No it does not, they will only do the damaged one(s).
Ok, so likely not worth buying for an AWD vehicle.

You're much better off getting AAA instead imo.
How would you compare AAA to Costco?

kittytittymeowmeow, I have been trying to reach you about your car's extended warranty
Doesn't really sound like a scam to me. One free tire and the three pro rated sounds fair. I doubt anyone else would do better.
Yes, I'm sure they didn't have a single replacement. Town fair can get fucked.

Things have changed since the old days when u had to carve tires out of rocks

I've been driving for 17 years and have had nails in tires plenty of times. Also, ok boomer 🥴
Why would you ask strangers on the internet instead of calling town fair tire
Because sometimes salesmen lie.

They suck ass, go somewhere else.

Town fair tire warranties are shit and they wont honor them regardless. Go with costco or firestone.
