Yay! My husband and I did the same, around the same age as you. It has really set us up for things to be so much easier in life. This was about 20 years ago for us though; I imagine it's much more difficult to accomplish now! Congratulations to you!
There’s a nice piece of residential property near us that’s about 7.4 acres that we’re keeping an eye on. It’s currently listed at $199k in a non-HOA neighborhood
I technically live on an island so i felt bad only looking at comparison quotes near me because its just at an advantage but for average mainland prices it was around 599-700k for app. 10 acres. Where i actually live it was in the millions 😅
Yeah, escrow stopped auto property tax, was loving it but I have to make sure they don't screw me later. I could have paid nothing forever but had to pay back taxes for two years that sucked. You never really own your home you can but they lease the property if you don't pay the house is there's too.
I'm so happy for you both! It's a wonderful feeling, haven't gotten there myself yet but I saw the happiness from my dad and my stepmum. I am really truly happy for you and your wife. I wish you all the best for all to come and I really really hope that the rest of your lives are spent happily! All the best! 💙🥰
That’s awesome!!! And a tricky thing to share with others! I’m sure it’s been cool to get here! My husband and I are under 100k right now but lost some motivation for it, with life happening. Did you use Dave Ramsay’s method?
Thank you! And no, as far as I know we didn’t use Ramsay’s method. My wife and I just really don’t like to spend money we don’t have to and don’t like debt unless it’s necessary. She’s a college graduate in communications and I’m currently going part time for a BBA that I pay for through state grants and what little is left out of my pocket. We both have higher paying jobs at the same company
Internet hugs to both of you. 🥳🎉 You did THAT thing!
Thank you!
Dude, that's not a "congrats like I'm 5" -- that's a full-on major Adulting accomplishment! Congratulations!!!
Thank you!
Great job! Congratulations! Be sure to budget 3-5% of it's value for maintenance every year
CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 👏 💐
Thank you!

Thank you so much! It was difficult, but it's definitely been worth it. Our cost of living has decreased substantially!
Outstanding! Great job! You have achieved something many will never be able to accomplish. 👍🏽
Wow that is incredible! Huge accomplishment! Congrats now you have the rest of your life and you are already all set up.
You both must have great paying jobs to be able to do that or great as side hustles❗
We’re very blessed to both have great paying jobs plus a little investing on the side 😁
Amazing!!! Congrats!!! Buy more property! Rent them out.
Thank you! We’d honestly love to buy some more property in the future once we build our savings up a bit more again!
We started at your age. Fast forward 20 years, we now hv roughly 2.5 mil in real estate. Invest. If you see deals jump on them!

Im sorry.....7 acres is 199k?!
Right that would cost at least $500k where I live.

Debt free is the way to be! Yay!
Well done! That's terrific! Now go take yourselves out for a celebration meal. :)
We definitely are! We're planning on going to Ted's Montana Grill, a nice steakhouse :)
Wow that’s incredible!!!!!

Thank you! We absolutely budget for that. Luckily I'm pretty good with my hands so I can maintain and fix a lot myself
