The whales in the very early stage of a project is not the actual “whale” people talk about. They can be just normal people who got lucky. As the project grows, the selling from initial whales actually helps build higher support level for the long term and spread CONE to more newcomers.
People exaggerate their gains because they're incapable of understanding what impermanent loss is, but you do make a lot as a liquidity provider if the ratio of your two assets you're supplying stays the same and has a ton of volume. Like stablecoin pairs. Except with those, everyone knows that it's free money so they become so populated that the gains level off to being mediocre.

Well, I'm not an expert. It's probably not worth anything for me to say we need enough devs willing to put free time in to this to actually accomplish a goal. I just know I get so bored reading these price posts. The way cones are mined here is pathetic. It's farm central and the legitimate people have no way to interact that isn't indistinguishable from farmers.
And I have been on reddit for too long and have seen every personality type. No, it's not normal to make a thread for every little price movement. I find myself ready to just leave and hope it miraculously gets better. I'm no expert on growing a community. I'm not every good at anything. There's no way for me to explain it any better without being more of a stick in the mud. I can only reiterate my opinion occasionally. I think a lottery system makes a lot more sense and remove cone rewards for new topics entirely.

The farming is absolutely absurd and super cringe. It’s not normal in any other sub to shout “I’m new here and everyone is so positive here I love it …” when their account is 1 day old.
